In any case, the early longbow was not the longbow of Agincourt fame. That came later. The early longbow was all about close up power, not range.
It is NOT accurate to say that, because the Britons (may have ) had the longbow, and because the later English had the longbow, that is is OK for Saxon Wessex to have the longbow too. This simply was not the case. And NO ONE should be using the longbow as if it is the famous weapon of the hundred years war. It wasn't that bow.
British alreadu have the best situations and the strongest unoits, escepcially thir incredibly hard heavy infantry and cavalry.... Other factions like Gaelic and moreover the Welsh have weaker strating positions and middle efficient units... except their Archery/bowmen. If u let British use their very scarce unic units, u defintvly kill the game. I mean :
_ Yet no interest to play Weslsh factions, u can already use their elite units and all other units have their equivalent weaker
_Vikings are too unchallenging, to play either to opposit... so I really don't like u'r mod !
FACT CHECK: the oldest known long bow was found with a mummy in the Otztal Alps (it is supposed to be from about 3400 BC based upon the other items found with the mummy and the carbon dating of the corpse) and then other long bows have been found in somerset dating back as far as 2600 BC
the reason long bows are such a uncommon battlefield wepons is because of the time it takes for a person to become proficient with the weapon. The reason the long bow is so closley associated with the english is because of the hundred years war. the battles of Crecy Poitiers and Agincourt would convince english forces to continue feilding the weapon until the gun powder made its way to the island
Mod work perfectly on custom battles, but don't work in campain (new campain start)
Anyone can help me? Thanks in advance
