Skyrim : General things to know
By mmm00nm0thz and 1 collaborators
A guide which compiles useful things I have learnt myself while playing the game, things I imagine other players would find useful.

This is by no means a guide that will walk you through specific quests.
I update this guide as I learn myself : )

Taking screenshots
Skyrim is a beautiful game and if you are an observant person like me, you'd love to take high quality screenshots of scenery and other things within the game. It's not difficult to figure out which key is your screenshot button for steam, however, if you wish to take a few steps further to make your screenshot look better, here are some things you could do.

Removing HUD [health bar / compass / crosshair]
This can be done by accessing the ingame skyrim settings and sliding the HUD opacity slider all the way to zero. After your screenshot(s) has been taken, you can simply drag the HUD opacity slider straight back to your preferred value.

Using the free camera feature from the console
If you are looking to take screenshots of things from up close, from a different position or of your own character, this feature is perfect for just that.
To do this successfully, open up the console from ingame and type: "TFC" or "tfc" (Toggle Free Camera). To return back to normal, type "TFC" into the console once more.
Toggling free cam in 3rd person will allow you to see your own character aswell, typing "TFC 1" will also freeze the environment.
It is also possible to manipulate the camera speed by typing "SUCSM x" into the console, x being a value for the speed, 1 being the slowest.

Installing mods
There are many mods which are specifically made to improve the graphics of skyrim, making any screenshots that you take even more beautiful. While not everyone wants to alter their skyrim with gameplay changing mods, the addition of mods that change your skyrim's graphics doesn't hurt anybody. Who wouldn't want their skyrim to look better? Oh and it's free.
Before browsing google or the skyrim workshop for mods, I'd recommend installing NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) and SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender) as many mods will require you to have these two programs installed.

For simplicity I will keep the guide information the same, I also don't see a purpose in going any lower than sucsm 1, it's pretty much the slowest anyone would need to go. Thanks for your contribution!

Actually sucsm 1 isn't the slowest. You can type sucsm ,1.
Wether or not you can go lower I have not tested.

I’ve played the game for years, still running a 2 year old save. If you need anything else, let me know.

Thanks for some more console command info, will be sure to add that into the guide.

Also, to remove the HUD, type TM in console. also you won't see ANY UI whatsoever, so make sure to open the console again and type TM to unhide all UI elements (HUD)

You can tell the console is open because everything stops. just type TM and press enter when that happens, and everything will be back to normal.
