A Basic Modding Tutorial

Modding

In this guide, I will be covering the basics of modding Dragon Ball FighterZ.


DO NOT USE MODS ONLINE.
Modding is quite simple.

Step 1 : Download DBFZ Mod Manager.

You will need a software to extract it like WINRAR.
The link to that is right here : https://winrar.en.softonic.com/

Open DBFZ Mod Manager in WINRAR and create a new file on your desktop, name it whatever you want. And extract the files there.
Then go into steam and go into library. Right click on Dragon Ball FighterZ and select " Properties ". after this go to Local Game Files.
It should bring you to the fighterZ gamefiles. Go into the " RED " File and then click " Paks ". Once your in that folder, Paste the contents of the Mod Manager file there. After this, A file titled " ~mods " Should appear in the Paks folder.

Step 2 : Open DBFZ Mod Manager, and go to options. Click " Patch Exe ". After that, Click " Disable EasyAntiCheat ". It should bring you to a app. Simply press " Uninstall " On it. And then click out of the app.

Step 3 : Close DBFZ Mod Manager and create a new folder. Name it whatever. If you download a mod, Open it with WINRAR. And extract it to the folder you just created. This will be your temporary mods folder. After your done, Go into the FighterZ Files again and go into the " ~mods " Folder, And paste the contents of the mod in it. Then open DBFZ Mod Manager. Enable it. And start playing!

DISABLING MODS

Disabling mods is also a simple process.

First, You open DBFZ Mod Manager and disable all your mods. And press save, This should create a new folder in FighterZ which is in the same folder as the exe. Where it stores all the disabled mods. But your still not done, Open DBFZ Mod Manager and head to options. Click " Enable EasyAntiCheat ". It should open the AntiCheat app again. Just click Install and close the app. After this, Go into steam. And go to local game files of FighterZ again, Click " Vertify Intergrity of Game files. " And just ignore any errors it opposes, That is normal. Any time you want to enable mods again. Just paste the contents of your disabled mods folder into your ~mods folder. Patch the exe and Disable anti cheat.

Does anybody here know anything about actually making the mods though? I've been trying to find tools and resources and people to ask. I want to do either a model swap or a whole custom character if that's possible these days. I just can't find any of the tools to do it or any documentation about it

you can use character skins online there's no risk

Indeed. I've tried to download a previous version writing in the console this:

But it seems steam has deleted all previous versions, so I'm fucked by now... Thank you very much anyway!
