After the party’s success in Phandalin it is decided that their fortunes lie in Waterdeep, the largest city in the Sword Coast.
The High Road from Phandalin has been kind to you so far, and there has been no trouble for the party for the four days since you first left Phandalin after a night of revelry and celebration with the townsfolk in the Stonehill Inn.
You have been travelling along the part of the High Road that is locked between the Sword Mountains and the Mere of Dead Men for about six hours, and your legs although not tired are starting to ache slightly. Visibility has noticeably reduced as you have been travelling, to the point where you can only see clearly 100 feet in front you and the once white fog is now a dark grey signalling that nightfall is near.
