Skip prologue guide

A quick guide on how to skip HLA prologue in 10 minutes without any fights.

Skipping the first mission

As soon as you pick your character and start a new game, enemies will attack the camp. You can either help the rebels kill them or just stay back and wait; you can do whatever you want here, you can skip the prologue either way.


Once the battle is over do any inventory sorting you want; for this guide I'll just skip everything and show you how to get to Puerto Viejo as soon as possible, but you can take whatever items you want with you.


Talk to Marcelo Tron, he will give you a mission to hunt enemy soldiers that are escaping from the camp. Just open the map and you can either just press spacebar and wait for them to escape (takes about 3 days), or follow their arrow marker and kill them. If you decide to wait, you should see a message that says "log has been updated" and it will count the mission as failed.

Skipping the next two missions

After finishing either of those, head back and talk to Marcelo Tron again. Select the option "I'm tired of sitting around in the camp...". He will ask you to look for volunteers. Look around the camp and recruit the "Guy" (Servulo Urbano), which is in the center of the camp, and the 3 Skeptics which are in the north section of the map.




Once you have recruited them, take their weapons if you want to or not. Talk to Marcelo Tron again and he will ask you to go to Villarado to complete the village defense quest. Once he finishes giving you the instructions, talk to him again and select the option "What am I supposed to do again?".


He will remind you of the mission and there will be a option to say "I'm tired of this job, I want to give up on it." This will bypass the quest completely.



Once you do that, talk to him again and select the option "Have a job for me?". He will ask you to go hunting for bandits. After he finishes giving you the instructions, talk to him again and select the option "Can you refresh my memory?...". Like before, there will be an option to say you are tired of the job and want to give it up. Select it and it will bypass this mission as well.

Getting to Puerto Viejo

Now talk to him again and select "What's up?". He will give you a mission to scout Puerto Viejo and will actually transport you there, making the government soldiers friendly to you again. Select the option to go to Puerto Viejo.

It is a mod, I think it is Actor Detail

I know it's been a few years but I notice that in a lot of older screenshots there's a visible armor model and in my game (only modded with GEG and the high tex models) there's no visible armor model for enemies with uniforms on and the mercs only have a drawn on model for most vests. Is there a mod for this this feature or is it some setting I'm missing? Greatly enjoying this game and mod so far but that's one little tidbit that kinda bugs me lol.
