This is based on the ninth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which I so happen to be doing an artwork series on. Captain America: The Winter Soldier features Steve Rogers as Captain America, himself, played by Chris Evans. It also co-stars Scarlett Johnansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier.

I believe work on this started not too far after my previous artwork was completed. I had taken several shots of Cap engaged in a fight with Bucky, in different settings, different poses, different angles, all that stuff. I knew what my focus was, Cap fighting the Winter Soldier, but didn't really know where to have it and what/who else should be in there. So I figured I'd take a break and work on some other things, especially with the holidays coming up. Unfortunately, I realized that my game was getting slower and harder to work with. So until I found a solution, I didn't even bother touching the project. But now I think I have, only to realize that I already had all the material I needed to get to work. So since my first gameplay test marking my return didn't work out super well, I instead went to work on this artwork soon after.

Most of the editing was to give it a similar tone to the ones in the posters for the film. I also added Falcon in the background. The explosions on the Helicarrier are in-game effects and the Helicarrier, itself, is just a shot of the map I used. I also tried a new editing program for any initial edits and finished with the old one that I used for the more complicated stuff. The movie actually came out two days ago on April 4th 2014. I would've posted this on that day if the editing hadn't taken so long, but at least it's within the same week.

So, will I be able to continue the project and make more MCU artwork? I really hope so. I was lucky with this one since I already had the screenshots I needed to put this together but, from here on out, I'm going to have to make some more in-game. I really want to push out the next two before Avengers: Infinity War gets released and have Age of Ultron line up for that at least, so I'll see what I can do. If not, then at least, there's this one. And no matter what, I'll still keep trying to get these out because it's a project that I enjoy doing despite the setbacks. And I'll be with it till the end of the line.
