Por poop-fart-daily
Begin description. Leaving dead space...three, two, one. The purpose of this guide is to teach players new to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator how to complete the salvage minigames between the nights. If you are reading this text, that means that not only have you been having trouble with the minigame, as many do, but also that you are likely a new player who has found an item that has met the criteria listed under paragraph four in the game. Follow these instructions, document response times, and safely and succesfully salvage the animatronics placed before you so you can unlock the Completion and Mediocre Endings. Introduction/Overview
Hello, everyone, I am ThePhoenixMeifwa, and welcome to a guide. In Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, between the days you are give the option to salvage an animatronic. Salvaging every animatronic and completing the whole week unlocks the completion, or "true" ending, and salvaging 1-3 unlocks the mediocre ending. In this tutorial you will learn how to survive the salvage minigames and unlock the good ending.
Basics
To start off, there are four salvageable animatronics in the game: MOLTEN FREDDY, AFTON (AKA Springtrap), SCRAP BABY and LEFTY. You might want to watch this video by DarkTaurus, which shows every salvage minigame in the game:

Once you've watched the video, you can get started with the guide.

When the animatronic is presented before you each night, you have two options:

THROW IT BACK IN THE ALLEY: If you choose this option, then you've decided to begone with the animatronic and throw it back into the cold, dark, alley where it belongs, with dumpsters and rotting food all over the ground. While this may seem like the smart choice, if you do this to every animatronic you will be fired at the end of the week.
PROCEED WITH THE SALVAGE: If you choose this option, then you've decided to proceed with the maintenance checklist, and risk your life on listening to some weird sounds for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ robot from the 80s. While this may seem like the stupid choice, if you do this every night then you will unlock the completion "true" "good" ending.

If you choose to salvage the animatronic (I don't know why you'd be reading this if you did, all animatronics have three phases in their salvage minigames:

SLEEP MODE, the first phase. This is the default phase of the animatronic, the "neutral" phase. In this phase, they are usually slouched over and looking off in another direction.
ACTIVE MODE, the second phase. In this phase, the animatronic usually has sat up and is looking at the player. They have become aware that they're being monitored, and are not too happy about it. The difference between this and the first phase is usually very subtle, so take a good look at the animatronic in its neutral phase to see the difference here.
..and AGRESSIVE MODE, the third phase. This is the final phase, in which the animatronic is agitated and ready to kill. Do not flip the paper up in this phase, or you'll get a faceful of angry animatronic, and be sure to zap them with your taser to neutralize them.

TASER: In the salvage minigames, you are equipped with a taser to neutralize the animatronics if they start to become aggravated. However, it can only be used a maximum of three times before the shocks start to damage the animatronic's wiring and halve its salvage value, so use it as sparingly as possible. But if the animatronic is agressive and you've already used it three times, even thought it'll decrease your salvage value, use it to make sure you survive.
Tips
- Watch animatronic movements closely. The differences between the first and second phases can be ever-so-slight and very subtle. This gets truer as the nights progress. Here's a picture of Scrap Baby's first and second phases side by side. Can you tell the difference?
Pretty hard, huh? But if you look very closesly, you can see her head is leaned back a little.

- Flip the paper up as quickly and sparsely as you can. A lot of the time the animatronic will move when you flip up the paper. If you keep it up for too long, the animatronic will jumpscare you and you'll lose the salvage. So when you're prompted to record the animatronic's reaction, flip up the paper, check one of the boxes for the corresponding prompt, and flip it back down as fast as possible.

- Do not wait to neutralize the animatronics. Unlike FNaF 1 and 2, the animatronic won't wait for you to flip up your paper. If they're in phase three, they will strike in 2-10 seconds, so you'll want to zap them immediately if they're in phase 3.
Strategy
So with all of these tips and facts in hand, we now have an overall strategy to complete the salvage minigame.

Step 1. Choose to proceed with the salvage.

Step 2. Let the first audio prompt play. While this is happening, pay close attention to the animatronic's posture and make a mental note of it.

Step 3. Once the audio prompt has ended, and you are prompted to record the animatronic's reaction, pick up the paper, check a box, and put it down as fast as possible.

Step 4. It's possible that the animatronic moved. Remember its posture in phase 1, and check if it's different now. If it is, neutralize it with your taser.

Step 5. Repeat steps 2-4 until the audio prompts are over.

Step 6. Success! You have completed the salvage minigame and are one more step towards the completion ending. Now get back to work!

WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning! Once there was a little boy called Joey, he was ten-years-old and he lived in a mental hospital because he posted a shitty copypasta onto a People Playground mod's comment section . He got so bad he went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the Feds decided that best idea was to get rid of him so they set up a special room to kill him, as inhumane as possible. And he sat there in agony for hours until he died. Now every week on the day of his death he returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00 a.m. He creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by pegging you and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other profiles on this one site, and he will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes nothing will happen

sorry, dont take risks

by the way, the only time they visually move is when you flip the paper up. if anyone wonders why they get jumpscared when the animatronic hasnt even moved, is because they waited too long without flipping the paper up and down. if you feel like you might be a in a little danger, flip the paper up and down quickly. prompt 5 is guranteed for danger, but if you flip the paper up and down they jumpscare you faster, so if you're able to, shock around the end of the prompt instead of flipping it up and down in the middle of it.

If Afton is just a more decayed version of springtrap, which has a corpse in it, doesn't that mean that salvaging Afton is just getting a slave?????

Their postures actually don't matter. It's the sound that each of them make. They can only jumpscare you even with the paper down if they're making their unique sound.
