PS2 Features to PC [Updated 2021]

A drag & drop installation pack of PS2 Features to PC.

Introduction

I'm not the developer of those mods. I just tested all mods of "PS2 Features to PC Index" forum, corrected some problems and made a drag & drop pack.

- What's in this pack?

I make this pack for my personal backup of these mods. This pack is meant to be installed on a clean Steam copy of GTA SA. This archive contain the necessary to make the mods work, like ASI Loader, Cleo, Ginput, Widescreen Fix, Silent Patch, Skygfx and most of mods from

- "Most of mods"?

Yes, because some mods made the game unstable, or simply others worsened the visual impact of the game, like the PS2 road texture.
Original PC Textures have better quality compared to the PS2 texture

- Original audio stations: All removed song are back!

Rockstar have removed some of the most beautiful songs from the Steam version of the game, but whit this pack you will have all it back as the first release! The original audio folder is already in!

Difference bethween original and modded game

- Atmosphere, colors, sun and other effects

- - - PS2 have also better shadows effect

In the PC version is missing completely the fantastic colors and effect that characterized the PS2 version. Now you can enjoy again the feeling of playing on your PS2 back in 2004.

- Cars & wet road reflections

As you can see the PS2 version have a more natural look and better rain & reflection. I was missing the feeling of driving in a storm in the PC version :)

- Widescreen Fix and HD Loadscreens, fonts, radar, map and menu.

This pack also include some mod for playing SA in 4K/1080p 16:9 whitout having all HUD streched from 4:3, HUD and loading screens are also in high resolution. The contents below does not come from PS2 to PC Index, unfortunately i don't remember the source.



As you can see on the right side (Non modded game) all hud and loading screen are stretched and have a low quality, Left side is the fix contained in this pack.

You can see the disabled mods on the modloader folder, you can enable it if you want, but there are a good number of reason to keep them disabled.

Download & Installation

This pack is meant to work on a clean copy of GTA San Andreas. The compatibility whit any other mods isn't ensured, if you are experiencing problem make sure to check other mods compatibility.

I tested this pack playing all the storyline whitout almost any instability problem or crashes. See the current issues in the changelog below

Installation: Just drop all the content of the folder in your GTA SA directory and make sure to select "replace" to all files. That's it.

Changelog (2021) Update

- Update 2021
• Updated to the latest SkyGfx version (4.2a)
  Changes in color tones, road rain reflection are now fixed, other small effects updated
  
• PS2 Menu is now in the pack.
  If you want back the PC menu just delete "skyui.asi".
  
• HD Intro and titles are now included in the pack. (Suggestion by Shadicluigi)
  
• SilentPatch updated to the last version.
  
  Current issues
  
• Grain filter effect can appear stretched/glitched when playing above 1080p resolutions.
  Caused by the new SkyGfx update.
  
• "Air Raid" Mission by Zero can glitch the game causing crashes after you complete until the next savegame.
  If you use the guided rocket launcher the game will crash. The savepoint at San Fierro's garage can disappear. Once you completed this mission, save the game and reload it and everything will be normal
  
• "OG Loc" mission by Big Smoke can crash if you die and you retry the mission using the "Skip Travel"
  Don't die. xD
  
• (From first release) Minor visual glitches whit fonts can appear in some missions
  The black outline of HD text can breaks in some mission
  
• (From first release) Minor visual glitches on some localized textures
  Some bushes or shops texture can appear glitched
  
  
  
  - Update 2020
  
  • The original audio folder is now included in the pack.
    The original audio folder contains all the missing tracks from radio station. The folder is now included directly in the pack for an easy one-click installation of the pack.
    
    Issues
  • Road rain reflection are no longer working
    Probabily caused by some games updates that breaks compatibility.

      Issues
    • Original audio folder is not included in the pack

This pack is horribly outdated. Do this instead:
-Download newest 2024 SilentPatch
-Download SkyGFX from MixMods (custom new version)
-Download Widescreen Fix + Frontend textures
-Download Modloader.asi and Improved Streaming Mod
-Get IIIVCSAOpenLimitAdjuster
-Install "Proper Fixes" from MixMods via Modloader
-Get GInput if you want controller support

You'll have a much better experience restoring not only PS2 visuals but also XBOX ones such as unique map props and other fixes.

Crash upon starting a new game, the first loading screen only passing by half before audio drops out, and shortly thereafter crashing to desktop.
Starting from steam, 'CLEO warning, Error loading plugin cleo/CLEO+.cleo' if this is of any revelance

you can bring pack pc shadows by editing skygfx1.ini change pedShadows and Stencilshadows to 1
