Dam It [Remastered]

Description
Dam It is an unfinished campaign for Left 4 Dead that was made by the original creators of Left 4 Dead, Turtle Rock Studios. Dam It stitches Dead Air and Blood Harvest together. First map begins at night, and third ends in the morning.

This is my version of the map. Work in progress.

List of changes:
  • Added intro.
  • Added interior and exterior.
  • Added correct skybox.
  • Added dialogues.
  • Added "true finale".
  • Added sounds and music.
  • Textured gray boxes.
  • Textured "white" models.
  • Fire, smoke and explosions trigger panic events in the airplane hangars.
  • All zombies attack on sight in the apple orchard.
  • The covered bridge collapses with explosions.
  • Wandering fires in the forest area.
  • The dam spawn room contains health kits and weapons.

Also check AkiraTea version. It includes some good ideas and is optimized wel.
And a big thanks to Ryan, he ported original version to Left 4 dead 2.

my personal take is about 4.7 everything is great about it imo only with the exception of the common problem with port 1's safe room like in other versions of this so could probably use a better AI for it, love all the details and everything up to the dam, only big thing imo is the raising water for the opening of the floodgates and seeing survivors get pushed out into open water like in another version of this, i do love the original idea of how this campaign is supposed to be more difficult with more SI spawns and mobs, definitely will try on expert, would like to try with 8player/survivors mod but doesn't work on it this version so not much of a loss and love how it connects straight to blood harvest will definitely be playing this in-between the regular campaigns will say besides port 1 saferoom, and dam water everything else definitely killing it keep up the great work and can't wait to see more in the future :3

why does the bot cant enter the safe room in part 1 I ended up killing them to proceed next round

During the finale with the zig zag stair bit. There's a chance you get flung by the tank into the side of the dam and then grab onto it which makes it impossible to be pulled up if your playing solo.

The finale is terrible. Spawn delay of spesial infected is ridiculously small, it`s literally few seconds. I rushed and faced two chargers in a row, then jokey, spitter and jokey. And this happend in about 8-10 seconds.

Finale is laughably bad. Complete did it better.The tie in to Blood Harvest chapter 1 is the only part I liked.
Its ok, it helped explain the cut-off between Dead Air & Blood Harvest? But its replay-ability factor is a 0.01%. I mainly did not like it, because of how many explode-able barrels were in the map.

This map is so frickin bad the ending sucks the events suck and turtle rock doesnt deserve to be anywere valve is the true father
