Introduction
Welcome to the Weapons Guide, the purpose of this guide is to help you familiarise yourself with Kenshi's weaponry so that you can choose the best weapon for the right job. Below I will be discussing the Class, Damage and Value of many of the items you Loot or Purchase ingame.
Chapter 1 - Blunt Weapons
As the name implies, Blunt weapons excel at dealing blunt damage, and have a very low chance of causing Bleeding. This combined with the Stun Damage that it deals makes Blunt weapons an excellent choice if your intent is to capture the target alive, whilst causing them the least amount of injury.

Chapter 2 - Hacker Class Weapons
Hacker class weapons often combine the best of both worlds as weapons of their class start really heaping on the blunt damage.

Chapter 4 - Katana Class Weapons
Arguably the most common item in the game, almost every character in the game carries one or two of these and for good reasons. Not only are they the most versatile weapon in the game, their also one of the cheapest, a good choice for any Swordsman whether he be a grand master or aspiring student.

I like to think that polearms are so seldom used nobody would bother updating it for 18 months.

Guedez, yes the reach dose indeed effect combat, if you use a ...Wata-... the "Dagger" of Katanas over a staff the reach is noticeabul. Im not that great at this but I do know that shorter the weapon the less recover time between swings yet the closer you have to be to the target. And revered that for staffed based weapons.
