Long spidery power cables and pipes? Too much maintenance?

Cables and pipes can run through any buildings, not just domes.
Ok, this might be old news. But it's definitely new to me. So here's a head's up for people who didn't know. I have always been dragging cables and pipes to connect everything from the source of the power/water/oxygen to the buildings that required it. This resulted in a web of cables and pipes going everywhere costing me a huge amount of maintenance cost.

I thought that only domes can transfer power, water and oxygen inside itself but apparently I was wrong.

You can daisy chain any building which will reduce the amount of cables needed. Pipes will require buildings that have pipe connections but it works too!

Many I'm going to go start another play through, this time without laying pipes and cables everywhere. Think of the amount of metals I will save in construction and maintenance!

Sorry for the low effort guide but I just want to let people know this.

using valves at the ingress and egress of the equipment will help isolate the leak and prevent loss of water and O2.

the same goes for any "pipable" piece of equipment, it will pass any pipable material.

whoops i should have read the rest of your comment. Any fault will disrupt the flow of the three as one would expect. I reservoir oxy and water at each dome and distribute power along the entire power route to begin with.

The answer is yes, power, water and oxy to transit to any connecting terminal on your dome.

Very nice

The question now is wether power/water/oxy still transfers through if the building requires maintenance and if the pipe leak/cable failure is based on cable length or just a static chance for each tile of cable/pipe.
