Walkthrough (So Far)

In case you don't have the time to go scavenging on the forums to get through Phase I.

INTRODUCTION

So, being pretty non linear, you can actually do most of the things in this guide in any order. Essentially, in order to beat Phase I, you just need to find the four passwords. Keep in mind this walkthrough only covers Phase I of the game, as I believe that as of now, Phase 2 is impossible to beat.

Also keep in mind that I'm writing this guide from memory (since I can't exactly replay the game, even if I wanted to orz) so let me know if I missed anything!

PART 1 - THE HIDDEN GAMES

BEGINNING
Go into the dining room. Check the door to the top right of the map. Your game will crash. Launch it again, and enter the same door.

As to what to do next...

Hint:
Go into the room to the left of the light gray room with the laundry machine. Check the small drawer to the middle-left side of the map. There is a random chance of getting a note that says ''www.save''

Answer:
The note is referring to the game files. Go to ''Program Files (x86) -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Please Love My Computer Game -> www -> saves'' and check the folder with the weird name (486f77206d756368206c6f766520646f20796f752063617272793f). Keep this folder in mind, because we will come back to it. For convinience, I will refer to this folder as ''hub folder.'' You will notice that there are a lot of sub folders here. We'll explore these in a bit.

PURGATORY (1F, Black room locked door)
This door is in the first floor, in the room with the stairs leading up to the second floor. Check the door.

Hint:
It says ''On Our Grave.'' Sound familiar?

Answer:
Look into hub folder. Go to ''On -> Our -> Graves'' and read the notepad file titled ''Answer.'' The code is ''Hyksos.''

There isn't much to do here. There's some mask thingies that follow you around, but they don't actually do anything. If you go down into the ''building'' covered by metal walls and travel for a while, you will find a room with a TV in it. Check the TV twice and the game will crash. Go back to the TV and it will ask for a password. We'll get to this later.

BELONG (Hidden Game 1)
Go into the hub folder. Go to ''All -> He -> Feels -> Belongs'' and run the game.

This game is probably the easiest one to solve on your own. After the opening cutscene, check the drawer to the top right of the room. Go to bed. When you wake up, go into the bathroom and stand in front of the bath. Jumpscare warning here. Then, leave the bathroom, and check the mirror, the front door, and the poster on the wall. Choose to take down the poster and climb down the rope in the hole behind. Just follow along the pathway until you reach the end. That's pretty much it!

Seemingly the only noteworthy thing here is a code you get at the end of the game that says ''to the man: BELONGTOME''

Fun Trivia:
This is actually the first and only finished chapter from one of the developer's other games, ''DuskGolem's Anthology of Horror Season 1''

PLAY / 01010000b01101100b01100001b01111001_ (Hidden Game 2)
Go into the hub folder. Go to ''How -> Could -> She'' and run the game.

You start off in a gigantic open area. There actually is something you can find here. The way I managed to find it is that, from my starting position, I went south-east until I reached the edge of the map. Then, I went north a little bit and went west until I found a weird block structure. When you find it, just touch it to proceed further. Walk to the office chair and touch it. Now walk to the ''bottom'' corner of the room and walk along the wall until a text box pops up. Go forward until you reach the pile of rubble. In the next room, don't go up the ramp. Instead, look around until you find a lightened dead end with a floating hand and table to get a text box that says ''Jeremiah.'' This will become important later. Now, go up the ramp on the other side of the map. Check the bathroom mirror. That's all for that one.

THE WAILING TREES (Hidden Game 3)
Go into the hub folder. Go to ''Maybe -> This -> Happened -> Before'' and run the game.

After the opening cutscene, you will find yourself in a hugeeee forest. I will admit, I didn't explore this one too much myself,
it was just too tedius, so I'm gonna get these hints (for a later puzzle) from BMoz's post in one of the forums as they were the one to figure this one out.

1) "Where the eyes are, a trail leads to the falsehood."
2) "Between the left and the right of the eye lies the pupil. Poke a needle in the middle of the eye, and then you may begin to truly see. Press it in deeply, cut into it.Then you too may see with the seeing eye.''
3) "Where there's a face with two eyes, a nose, and a smile."
4) "Click to Stick a Needle.''
5) "The Mouse is the Eye."

To actually BEAT the game, stick along to the right most side of the map until you see a passage among the trees, and enter it.

PRINCESS POWDER (Hidden Game 4)
Go into the hub folder. Go to ''Something -> Feels -> Familiar'' and run the game.

Start the game. After the intro cutscene, stand right one tile above the letter. Move two tiles to the right and check the edge of the carpet to get a key. Unlock the door. Drink the water to get a key and unlock the door. Read the letter. Check the letter that's one tile below and two tiles to the right of the door. Walk along to the end of the hallway.

Secret Diner Room:
In the room with the water and mirror, walk through the wall to right where the floor has no edge. Check one of the seats at the bottom row for a secret message that says ''#of holes * #of straight lines in maze > 18 - #of Dead Ends In the Maze * Number of Wall Faces Outside the Maze = DESIRE

Fun Trivia:
This game is actually one of the developer's other games, ''Nostalgica: An Old World Passes.'' The movie at the start also features scenes from the developer's other games, ''Blank Slate'' and ''Girl's Graveyard Redux.''

Jpodfxbtibqqz (Hidden Game 5)
Go into the hub folder. Go to ''Such -> A -> Lie -> To -> Myself'' and run the game.

It's a maze. I have no idea how I got through it, if I have to be completely honest. Apparently there's something at the end,
but I just found myself in a giant empty room where I couldn't do anything orz

Anyway we'll come back to this maze in a bit but right now there isn't much to be found.

CHERISHED LIGHTHOUSE (Hidden Game 6)
Go into the hub folder. Go to ''After -> The -> Lighthouse'' and open the zip file. The code you need to run the game is revealed by the developer in the forums in a thread with the binary name. (Can't put it here since it messes up the format real bad >.<)

This one's also pretty easy to beat on your own. After the opening, leave your room, talk to the guy and go back to bed. When you wake up, go into the guy's room, then check the fog in the entrance. Go back to your own room. After the cutscene, leave through the front door.

PART 2 - THE FOUR DOORS

Heads up that I believe you pretty much complete Phase I after getting through all four doors. What I recommend you do is skip one of these (other than ''IN LIGHT'' because you actually need the item inside) and look at the ''SECRETS'' section before proceeding further.

TWO PAIRS

Hint:
Check the eyes around the house.

Answer:
''Gadu'' is the password. Each of the eyes scattered around the house have a letter for the pupil.

IN LIGHT

Hint:
You're gonna need Photoshop for this one.

Answer:
''Hickory'' is the password. If you take the video of the light that plays when you launch the game and lower the brightness and contrast, you can see the code.

Inside, you can find the ''Seeing Eye.'' This will come in really handy. When hovering over walls with your mouse, this lets you sometimes see hidden messages that you will need to solve puzzles.

3D DARKNESS

Hint:
If you have the seeing eye, hover your mouse on the wall just above the room's door.

Hint 2:
''How Could She'' on the wall is referring to the game folders, so it's referring to the game ''PLAY.''

Answer:
''Jeremiah'' is the password. It's the name you can find in PLAY.

To travel through the weird floor, you'll need to hold the left mouse button. Otherwise, stepping on them will crash your game.
Get through the linear corridors until you reach a bedroom. Check the ''male'' bed and enter the code.

Hint:
The code is within ''Cherished Lighthouse.''

Answer:
''ANCHOR''

BATHROOM DRAWER

Hint:
The answer is neither in the game nor within the files. It's somewhere on the steam page./spoiler]

Hint 2:
You will need Photoshop, again.

Answer:
''Freigh'' is the password. If you screenshot the bathroom video from the steam page and set the brightness up to max, you can see it.

Move down to the bottom of the room. Walk downwards through the corridor until you reach the end. When you do, walk back. Follow along the path. Walk right when you get to the room with the lockers (there's one near the middle you can actually open aswell) and interact with the hole from the top.

PART 3 - PHASE II AND ENDINGS

Once in the house, talk to the glitched person in the chair. Afterwards, just walk around the maze until the game crashes.

When you launch the game again, go and stand in front of the pipe on the wall for about a minute until the game crashes again. Launch it up and you will be in a red version of the entrance. You can check inside the closet for a unique word and publish it in the forums. Apparently, when 54 unique names are gathered, something will happen, so go help us out!

''JUST AN EXIT'' ENDING
Enter the door to your left to get the green room, and enter the newly appeared closet. Walk up and choose to exit through the door.

That's it! I believe that's the main story line so far. I probably missed a few secrets, but this should be enough for you to complete the game ^^

BONUS - SECRETS

WELL EVENT
I believe this has a random chance of occurring when you enter the red room with the well and try to leave.

HIDDEN MAZE ROOM
After getting the seeing eye, go back to the entrance and hover your mouse over the entrance door to see a message that says ''RECREATE.''

Hint:
This puzzle, again, requires you to use the steam page to solve it.

Answer:
Quit and re-enter the game. Recreate everything, step by step in the gameplay video on the steam page. You will get a set of directions for doing so. Follow these directions in the maze, and you will reach a secret room.

OPENING THE CLOSET

Hint:
The answer to this riddle is found within The Wailing Trees.

Answer:
Go into the green room to the left of the laundry room, and walk down towards the bottom of the map, following the trail of soot. Hover your mouse over the bottom wall while holding down the middle mouse button to enter the room. Talk to the slenderman like figure.

Hint:
He is ''orange face.''

Answer:
Enter the name ''Wendy.'' You can find this name by taking the cover art for the game with the two creepy figures and brightening it in Photoshop to reveal the name.

After inputting the code, you should be able to enter the closet if you're holding down the middle mouse button while interacting with it.

THE TV CODE / DESIRE

Hint:
The riddle itself is hidden within Princess Powder.

MADE YOU LOOK
Go into the hub folder, and ''He -> Wondered -> If -> It -> Would -> Do -> Anything'' and then just follow along the string of folders and you'll eventually get to a strange text file.

GIRL DRAWING
After getting the seeing eye, check the bin in the laundry room for a weird drawing.

To beat The Wailing Trees secret game, make sure that you originally go to the right side of the woods from the beginning. When you reach the "end" you will see that there is a hole in front of you. Now all you have to do s follow the side of the map/follow the hole, until you are going to the right again. Once you reach the side of the map on the right again. Go almost completely up to the top of the map, and you will eventually find the "pathway among the trees," where it isn't actually among the trees but on the side of the maps wall.
This is for people like pizzaboner69 who needed help with this. I was also confused until I looked at the forums that other people where talking about.

Playing Jpodfxbtibqqz, the way I got the ending was by hugging the wall to my right, to where I eventually found an exit that had a black floor pannel. Once you reach the big open space that MadHatterBelial brings up, instead of hugging the right wall, hug the left wall. You will very shortly go back into the 'maze' and in there is a section that goes down. Go to it and it will make you stuck there. I'm not sure how I continued it but all I did was move the arrow keys, spacebar, and cautiously the right click button. Once you see the pile of stuff infront of you, that's when you click and the words come up.

I stuck to the rightmost path and still couldn't find the damn stupid fucking "pathway among the trees"

Not sure if this helps but in the Jpodfxbtibqqz after the maze and big seemingly empty space there's another big space (I went to the middle of the empty space until it started getting bigger like in 01010000b01101100b01100001b01111001, and showed another outline of walls around me, found another set of... rooms that looked more like an inside-out maze with branching paths, one leading somewhat below ground, game froze there and dumped me in a closed space with a pile of rubble on the flor and 'keyword is DESIRE' text.
