ArkhamDB Deck Builder for Arkham Horror LCG

Beschreibung
This is a helper mod for Arkham Horror the Card Game https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/arkham-horror-the-card-game/.
This mod will automatically generate a deck from a decklist published on arkhamdb.com.

*** NOTE ***
There is no need to publish decks for use in the deck builder. Just enable deck sharing in your Arkhamdb account and the deck will be available for use in TTS.
The Arkhamdb publish function is for sharing and discussing decks and deck building in the Arkham Horror LCG community. If your only intent is to use the deck in this mod, please enable private sharing in your account instead.
*** END NOTE ***

-------------
Instructions:
-------------
The ArkhamDB API is used to download the decklist. It requires the decklist id from a public or private decklist published on the ArkhamDB site.
You can find the decklist ID in the url of your decklist. To use private deck lists the decklist owner needs to have enabled sharing in the account settings of arkhamdb.

Example: If the url is https://arkhamdb.com/decklist/view/4822/lonely-roland-the-worst-solo-deck-ever-1.0, the decklist id will be "4822".

Input the decklist id, make sure the Private/Public toggle is set correctly and press "Build Deck".
Save the finished deck and import into your favourite mod.

*** Update: Permanents / No Permanents will toggle if you want permanent cards separated from the built deck.

* Player cards and inspiration were initially taken from Icekobra's excellent mod for Arkham Horror the Card Game. Go check it out! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=781350765
* Current version player cards are from Dran's also excellent mod: "Arkham Horror LCG - Super Complete Edition". https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1516223037
* Tile graphics by Bjoern
* Used local positioning script by Dzikakulka: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=923680381

-------------
Notes:
-------------
* Only player cards are used. Investigator cards and tokens must be added manually.
* The player cards in the source deck must match the exact name of the card on ArkhamDB or there will be no match.
* Cards with XP 1+ will need the level in parentheses after the name.
* For upgraded Archaic Glyphs and Strange Solution, the subname must be in the description of the card.
* The mod will not randomize a basic weakness.
* The tile can be saved and imported into your own mod for easy deck building while playing :-)

Please report any bugs or faulty card names and I will try to fix them a.s.a.p

grabben: Doyou know how the author of the Suoer Complete Edition scanned in such beautiful HD cards, or if not, how I can get in touch with the author? I believe the name was Dran or something?

I just got Return to The Forgotten Age in the mail, scanned in the cards, even used Gimp to try to clean them up a bit, but they look nothing like the HD scans from the mod.

I looked online for a version of the mod being kept up-to-date, but did not find it. That is ok though since I own all the AH:LCG content and do not mind scanning in my own images.

Thanks in advance.

it was taken down. Fantasy Flight games pressed a complaint or something and started taking anything major with their content down including super complete. There's probably a reddit post on that matter.

P.S. perhaps the internet holds an updated version somewhere? you should check it out. ;)

hi. anyone knows what happened to the super complete?

Sure, feel free to do what you want with it. The reason it’s outdated is it was included in the ”Supercomplete” mod so I just periodically added new cards from that mod. There really was no reason to use this mod by itself since the tool was available in the actual game mod. Now that The SCE mod has been removed I don’t maintain this at all.

To add new cards, just name them correctly (must match exactly with Arkhamdb) and put them in the stack. Coding is minimal and only for special cards (cards with subnames for example).

Just ask if you run into problems.

P.S The SCE mod might still be alive and well somewhere else on the internet. Might be worth looking into if you want an updated version ;-)

I see that it may be more of how to create the card stack to match ArkhamDB's nubmering as opposed to coding?

Are you still keeping this up-to-date? Seems outdated... January was last update. If you are not, I would like to know how you do updates so I can maintain myself if need be. I buy all content from FFG, so I can scan cards in myself, but I just need to either have this mod work and be up-to-date, or code it myself as new content comes out.

@kweeket: That’s correct, there is no point using this mod if you use the super complete mod anyway. I help Dran woth keeping that version maintained and keep this around for major code changes. I occassionally add newest cards from Dran’s mod. If anyone for some reason wants to use this instead of the super complete I could do that more often.

Although this mod works fine, it's missing cards from decks published in February 2020. The Arkham Horror LCG - Super Complete Edition has the same deckbuilding functionality and appears to be better maintained.

@ugo: Haven’t updated the mod in a while, I use the deck from the Super Complete mod and might need to grab the latest version from there. I’ll do an update asap.
