By G
Welcome to "Botanic Panic" a Cuphead guide. Having trouble beating the Root Pack? I highly doubt it being as they are the first and easiest bosses in my opinion. If you are, however, look no further. This guide will help your finger-shooting and soul claiming problems!

Introduction
The Root Pack. This level includes 3 bosses. A potato, "Moe Tato, an onion, "Weepy", and a carrot, "Psycarrot". The stage design is set outside, in a garden/yard area, with a tree and tire swing in the background as well as other samll plants. All 3 bosses burst out of the grounhd, being as they are plants, and once defeated they sink back into the ground, with the exception of Psycarrot. All three bosses have attacks related to the kind of plant they are. Weapons I suggest: Peashooter, Spreadshot, and Bommerang if you can obtain it later on. Use any charm that you would think work best. Into the battle.
The Potato "Moe Tato"
"Moe Tato" is the first of the three bosses fought on this stage. He pops out of the ground in an
A N G E R Y manner. His only way of attacking you is by spitting Dirt Balls and Worms. He spits out 3 dirt balls, finishing off with a worm who somehow got into this mess. Every time he spits out the dirt balls and worm, his next round of fire gets a little faster, and then a little faster untill returning back to the normal speed. The worm is the only parryable item while fighting Moe Tato. After being deafeated, he sinks back into the ground, rubbing his cheeks for some reason...? I would reccomend using Peashooter and Boomerang, since you have to stay far back and will be jumping fowards and backwards to dodge the attacks.
The Onion "Weepy"
Weepy the onion. I like that name. at the beggining of this part, Weepy pops out of the ground, seeming happy. However, Weepy looks around and suddenly becomes distressed, and starts bawling his eyes out. Tears raining down from the sky can injure the player. Every so often, his tears are pink, giving the payer an oppotunity to parry them. This is a very risky move though, since when you parry, you move up, which brings you closer to the tears that appear fast. When defeated, Weepy's skin peels off and he sinks back into the grown, unhappy. The weapons I would recommend are Peashooter and Spreadshot, as you are most likely going to be near Weepy and can get a lot of damage dealt.
The Carrot "Pyscarrot"
Ok that name sems like it look a short amount of time to come up with. Pyscarrot pops up in the background, unlike the others who appear on the walking area. If you want to hit Pyscarrot, you're going to have to shoot up. Pyscarrots first attack is using "Homing Carrockets" whcih slowly fly towards the player. SImply shoot at these to eliminate them. After using a few of the Carrockets, Pyscarrot opens a third eye (Get it? Carrots? Eyesight?) and shoots 3 beams of "Beta-Carobeams" at the player. Move out of the way of these to not take damage. I recommend using any weapons on this part of the battle. After taking enough damage, the player gets "A KNOCKOUT!" and shows Pyscarrot pulling on his leaves in defeat. Congragulations, you've beaten "Botanic Panic"!
Random Facts/Trivia
*If the player has Smoke Dash, they can go behind Moe Tato and avoid all of his shots.

*A glitch can occur where Weepys tear streams do not disappear and are still there during Pyscarrots fight.
"The Results!"
We are at the clsoing of this guide. I hope that it can help you beat the Root Pack and get their soul contract. Look for another guide coming sometime on more Cuphead bosses. Hope you all stay fabulous, and i'll see you next time!
