Basic Gameplay Mechanics
(Non-date) Gifts
  • Gifts cost munie but generate an equal amount of hunie when given to a girl. Giving gifts has a chance to unlock hairstyles for the girl receiving the gift.
  • Girls have loved gifts and liked gifts. They won't accept any other gifts. Loved gifts have a heart next to them on the store page, liked gifts have a star.
  • Giving a girl a loved gift will cause you to receive a package in your inventory containing a random date gift.
  • Gifts you've already given a girl appear on the collection tab of her profile page. You can give girls the same gift repeatedly and it will have the same effects, but it will not count towards 100% completion.
  • Unique gifts increase the amount of hunie earned from talking to a girl by 50%. You get 1x hunie for talking to a girl and 4x for answering a question successfully.
  • After you've slept with Venus, you can purchase gifts directly from a girl's profile page for 10,000 hunie each.

Food and Drinks
  • Girls won't talk to you if they don't have at least two points in their appetite meter. They won't go on a date or receive a gift unless they have at least one point of appetite. Talking to a girl reduces her appetite by two.
  • Buying and giving girls food increases their appetite by an amount relative to the munie spent. Girls will only accept food that they like. Liked foods have a star next to them.
  • Buying and giving girls drinks increases their intoxication bar by an amount relative to the munie spent. The girls have a varying alcohol tolerance, though, with a normal tolerance adding one point to a girl's bar for every one of alcoholic value for a drink. The tolerances have the following effects on intoxication: Low: 133% of alcoholic value, Normal: 100%, High: 66%, Insanely High: 33%.
  • Depending on the location, time of day, and girl, some girls may refuse a drink. Unlike the other gifts, however, no girl will refuse a drink because of a drink preference.
  • Giving a girl her favorite drink will provide bonus hunie.
  • Talking with girls and giving them gifts will generate additional hunie (up to about 2.2x) based on how high their intoxication bar is.
  • For every two points in a girl's intoxication bar, you will receive one sentiment at the start of a date.

Outfits
  • Girls change their outfits based on their location in town and where you take them on a date. Date locations are chosen at random.
  • Certain date locations are only available at certain times of the day. See the below chart.
  • If you successfully complete a date, the outfit the girl was wearing becomes unlocked on their style tab.
  • After you've slept with Venus, you can choose where to go on dates in order to unlock certain outfits for 100% completion.
Moves
As three adjacent identical tokens always match, all the matches greater than three tokens rely on having no more than two existing adjacent identical tokens (or else they would have matched already). Knowing this fact will help you understand all the various possible match arrangements and the importance of spotting two adjacent identical tokens on the grid.

The following is a list of all the possible match arrangements that can be made.

Cascading Matches
These are matches that happen as a result of tokens falling down from a prior match. As far as I can tell, the same matching rules and benefits apply for cascades. However, they're a bit on the buggy side and will not always match to the greatest number of tokens available. As such, they should not be relied upon when considering potential moves to make. Do still take care with broken heart cascades, though.

Similarly, instant matches from token-swapping date gifts (e.g. stuffed bear) will also behave unpredictably at times by also not matching the greatest number of tokens available. And as such, setting up moves from these types of date gifts is preferable to instant matches.

Power Tokens
For each power token in a match, the match value increases by the power token multiplier (1.75x when not upgraded). There is no stacking bonus for the number of power tokens in a match.
Puzzle Strategy
  • Given that 5-token matches are generally worth 5x as much as 3-token matches, but 7-token matches are only worth about 2x what 5-token ones are, 5-token matches should be the most sought after as they offer the most affection for amount of setup needed.
  • Joy should always be matched as matches become available as there is generally no benefit to setting up 4+ joy token matches, i.e. the number of moves gained is about equal to the number expended to setup combos.
  • Don't waste moves on trying to setup least-desired affection token matches for their affection alone as they are worth a fourth of what a most-desired affection token match is.
  • When clearing away lower-value matches, it's usually preferable to either create matches near the bottom or pull tokens from the bottom-up. This creates an area near the bottom of the grid where high-value tokens can collect and be matched easier. Also, near the bottom is where power-tokens tend to reside.
  • Towards the end of the game (where dates tend to be longer), you may find that you need two or three plushie date gifts in order to manage the amount of broken hearts that build up. It can be helpful for most plushies if you avoid matches using their resultant tokens in order to stack up the most possible matches for when the plushie is used. For example, avoid matching joy tokens before using the Stuffed Penguin plushie.
Indirect-Matching Moves
This is a technique that isn't explicitly conveyed by the game or immediately obvious for the player but can be helpful in certain circumstances. Basically, if any move causes a set of tokens to match, it is a valid move. This also applies to moving tokens that aren't included in the subsequent match.

For example, if you move a passion token to a position where it doesn't match, but by virtue of its movement causing the row to shift, a set of flirtation tokens matches, then that move is valid.

This technique is most useful in attempts to setup combos where any obvious means aren't apparent. You can expend one move positioning a prospective match token by indirectly matching some other tokens. However, due to the tedious trial-and-error involved in this technique, it's generally best used when the more basic moves have been exhausted in an attempt to setup combos.
Munie Math
I'm still trying to work out the exact equations for how much munie is gained from dates, but here's what I know so far.
  • Munie earned is mostly based on how much affection was earned from the date as a fraction of the total affection required. So, obviously, you'll get the most munie for a successful date.
  • The amount of munie scales with the total required affection for the date. However, this ratio is not linear (polynomial?), so it has diminishing returns as date difficulty increases. The amount of affection needed for dates is based on the total heart level for all the girls (in normal difficulty).
  • A portion of the munie earned (about 20% for most dates) is based on the amount of passion, moves, and sentiment at the end of the date. You earn 33 munie per passion, 23 per move, and 3.5 per sentiment. After you've slept with all the girls, this changes to XX munie per passion, 92 per move, and 14 per sentiment.

Sexy Time Puzzle
The puzzle that appears during the sex portion of night dates looks similar to the one from regular dates but functions rather differently. As such, it can be a little difficult at first. Below are some tips to help you complete this puzzle.
  • Since the pleasure meter is constantly falling, the only important aspect that you need to focus on is being speedy.
  • Most of your pleasure will come from triggering cascades and not from getting more tokens in your matches. So, always go for the first match that catches your eye and don't worry about combos. There's no bonus for the number of tokens in a match and no time to hunt for combos, anyways.
  • While the tokens from your match (and whatever cascades might occur) are falling, use this time to look for your next move.
  • It helps to look at a different part of the grid for your next move to avoid cascades clearing the tokens you'll need to make said move.
  • When your pleasure meter gets halfway full, the girl will lose her bra. Try not to be distracted by the anime tiddies until after you finish.

The sex puzzle will get more difficult as you sleep with more girls, starting at 200? pleasure and increasing 50? for each girl, up to 800. After you complete the puzzle, you're treated to the final photo for the girl, which will be somewhat tame unless you apply the uncensored patch.
Date Gifts
Perfumes (Token Drop Enhancers)
  • Sea Breeze Perfume, Green Tea Perfume, Peach Perfume, Cinnamon Perfume
    (Increase the amount of X affection tokens that fall by 50% for the remainder of the date.)
    These are nearly essential early to mid-game and should be swapped out as necessary based on a girl's affection preference or your presently upgraded affection traits. Increasing the drop rate of a certain affection token type is always a good strategy, especially towards late date after passion has been boosted.
  • Rose Perfume
    (Increase the amount of Passion tokens that fall by 50% for the remainder of the date.)
    A fairly useless gift, especially considering passion maxes out at some point and then what do you do with all the extra passion tokens that keep coming? Waste moves clearing them is what.
  • Lilac Perfume
    (Increase the amount of Broken Heart tokens that fall by 50% for the remainder of the date.)
    A clearly risky date gift but with the potential for usefulness in very specific strategies. Those strategies being ones that rely on turning broken hearts into some type of useful token as with the Plushies gifts.

Flowers (Token Consumers)
  • Blue Orchid, White Pansy, Orange Cosmos, Red Tulip
    (Consume all X affection tokens on the grid.)
    These are fairly useless. As a finishing move, they're far too weak. There is no per-token or passion bonus when the tokens are consumed. I've found them more useful for clearing out a girl's least preferred token type at times when I'm a bit stuck, but even then it's not the most helpful.
  • Sunflower
    (Consume all Joy tokens on the grid, earning +1 Move for every token consumed after the first 2.)
    A solid choice for grabbing some extra moves mid to late date. Can be chained with Stuffed Penguin for a massive increase in moves.
  • Pink Lilly
    (Consume all Passion tokens on the grid.)
    Okay for early date when you're still trying to get your passion up. However, like the other flower gifts, it is a bit under-powered and typically better to match passion tokens with 4+ matches instead.

Plushies (Broken Heart Modifiers)
Generally some of the better date gifts as broken heart management and mitigation is always a concern. I always find the need for at least two of these gifts to deal with piling up broken hearts.
  • Stuffed Bear
    (Convert all Broken Heart tokens into Passion tokens.)
    Arguably the best plushie and the first date gift you receive. It's especially useful in early date to build up your passion. Its removal of broken hearts is really more of a bonus. Best used at opportunities to either setup or instantly match at least one 4+ passion tokens. But beware that instant matches from this gift are rather unpredictable, e.g. they'll match 3 tokens before they match 4+ tokens.
  • Stuffed Cat
    (Remove all Broken Heart tokens from the grid.)
    The most basic plushie as it only removes the broken hearts. However, it does cost less sentiment, so it can be good for quickly clearing up the grid late date or when low on sentiment.
  • Stuffed Penguin
    (Convert all Broken Heart tokens into Joy tokens.)
    A great mid to late date gift. Best used either when the volume of broken hearts becomes problematic or when the number of remaining moves is low.
  • Stuffed Whale
    (Convert all Broken Heart tokens into Sentiment tokens.)
    A good early to mid date gift to build sentiment for more date gifts. Can be less useful for its sentiment generation than its broken heart removal in late game unless combined with Pearl Necklace.
  • Stuffed Monkey
    (+2% of total Affection goal for every Broken Heart token on the grid.)
    A great finishing move or last ditch effort. It's the least risky of the finishing moves since nothing of value is lost, but it also generally provides less affection. As with all finishing moves, monkey should be used when the amount of affection generated (from the number of broken heart tokens available) is greater than the remaining affection needed to successfully end the date. Unfortunately, it doesn't consume the broken hearts, but as it's a finishing move, this shouldn't be an issue.
  • Stuffed Sheep
    (+1 Passion Level for every 2 Broken Heart tokens on the grid.)
    As this gift increases the passion level directly, it can be used to increase the level quickly. However, it neither gets rid of passion or broken heart tokens, which isn't helpful unless you're chaining with another gift.
  • Kyu Plushie
    (Doubles the current Passion Level.)
    For its high sentiment cost, it's not the most useful gift. Frankly, with one or two well-setup passion matches, you can achieve the same result. And once your passion is maxed out, matching passion tokens is a bit useless unless you've also employed the Pink Mary Janes.
Date Gifts (Part 2)
Heels
  • Pink Mary Janes
    (+1 Sentiment for every Passion token match made for the remainder of the date.)
    As this gift only provides ONE sentiment for every passion match, it's a rather under-powered way to generate sentiment. The Suede Ankle Booties are much more useful at generating sentiment.
  • Suede Ankle Booties
    (+3 Sentiment for every 4-of-a-kind (or more) Affection token match for the remainder of the date.)
    One of the best date gifts in the game. For only three sentiment, you can generate three sentiment for every 4+ affection token match. As matching 4+ tokens should also be your goal, this just makes them even more useful. I often use this date gift as soon as I see an available 4+ affection token match (and have at least three sentiment) as it will end up immediately returning the cost in sentiment.
  • Leopard Print Pumps
    (+1 Move for every 4-of-a-kind (or more) Affection token match for the remainder of the date.)
    Another one of the best date gifts in the game and definitely better than using either Sunflower or Stuffed Penguin alone to generate moves. As with the Suede Ankle Booties, this gift makes your existing goal of matching 4+ affection tokens even more useful. Only cancels out the move it took to make the match, though, unlike Joy tokens.
  • Peep Toe Heels
    (The next Broken Heart token match will count as a Passion token match instead.)
    An okay early game gift that offers a one-time protection against a broken heart match. Less useful when you get your sensitivity trait up and have access to better date gifts.
  • Vintage Platforms
    (Select a token type and you will not lose any moves until a match is made that is of a different token type than the one you selected.)
    An unusual gift option that requires a very specific strategy to make effective. Probably best used after converting broken hearts with Plushies. (Do cascade matches disable the effect?)
  • Cork Wedge Sandals
    (No tokens will be consumed as a result of a date gift being used for the remainder of the date. You''ll still get the benefits, but the tokens will remain.)
    I can't really find an effective strategy for this. It seems to be designed to work with gifts like the flowers, but even then it's far too weak.

Jewelry
  • Heart Necklace
    (Drops the Passion Level back to zero and gives +2% of total Affection goal for each Passion stage lost.)
    A great but risky finishing move. It has a maximum effect of 32% of affection goal when your passion is fully upgraded and filled. However, if you use this gift and don't succeed at the date, it becomes essentially impossible to succeed afterwards as your passion will be zeroed out.
  • Pearl Necklace (tehe)
    (Drains your Sentiment and gives +1% of total Affection goal for each 1 Sentiment drained.)
    The best finishing move, especially late in the game. Also, easily the most overpowered item in the game as it has no cap and is unaffected by date difficulty. Having this gift available makes getting late date sentiment worthwhile. Combine with other sentiment-generating gifts like Stuffed Whale or Suede Ankle Booties for massive effect. But remember to take the five sentiment cost into account when using the gift.
  • Gold Earrings
    (+1 Move for every 2 Joy tokens on the grid.)
    Basically an alternative version of the Sunflower gift. Typically provides less moves than Sunflower does, but leaves the tokens available for further matches. So unlike Sunflower, it will not help with clearing up the grid. Although, it can be chained with Sunflower and Stuffed Penguin for an ultimate move increase.
  • Hoop Earrings
    (+1 Move for every 2 Broken Heart tokens on the grid.)
    A fairly weak gift as it doesn't even remove the broken hearts like Stuffed Penguin does. And I can't find a viable strategy for keeping broken hearts around unless you're just chaining them with other gifts.
  • Lovely Ring
    (Consume all the power tokens on the grid.)
    Like the other affection token consumers, it seems under-powered, but I honestly haven't tried this one yet.
  • Silver Ring
    (Consume 10 random tokens on the grid. Broken Heart and Joy tokens excluded.)
    One of the multitude of gifts that merely consume a number of tokens. The only use I can find for this is to mix up the grid a bit when you're stuck. But really, it seems like probably the worst possible date gift.

Cosmetics
Overall, the least useful date gifts. Feel free to dump these from your inventory when it starts getting full.
  • Shiny Lipstick
    (Upgrade a select Affection token to a power token.)
    Useful early game in a targeted 4+ match, but far too under-powered late game to be worth a slot.
  • Nail Polish
    (Upgrade 3 random Affection tokens to power tokens.)
    Okay early game, but due to its randomness, not a reliable strategy.
  • Hair Brush
    (Consume a select row of tokens. Broken Heart tokens excluded.)
    Can be used for a targeted combo setup or for clearing up the grid some, but not really worth the gift slot expense.
  • Eyelash Curler
    (Consume a select column of tokens. Broken Heart tokens excluded.)
    The only strategy I can find for this gift is to drop new tokens in an attempt to create a horizontal 4+ match. But it's really risky as there's a good chance to match broken hearts and not even get the type of token you're looking for. Best to avoid this one.
  • Makeup Kit
    (Consume a select 3x3 square of tokens. Broken Heart tokens excluded.)
    Probably the least useful cosmetic gift.
  • Compact Mirror
    (Select an Affection token and every token of that type will be replaced by either a Passion token, a Joy token, or a Sentiment token.)
    An interesting gift option. Could be useful early game to clear out least-desired affection tokens.
Unlockable Girls
  • Kyu is unlocked automatically upon bedding your first girl.
  • Momo is unlocked by buying the "bag of goldfish" gift, visiting Dawnwood Park during the day, and then dropping the fish while you're there. You drop items by dragging them out of your inventory and into a special drop region on the screen. Momo will appear after you try to leave, regardless of if you've been on a date. If you're having trouble obtaining the goldfish, you can buy them directly from a girl's gift tab using munie after you've slept with Venus.
  • Celeste is unlocked by giving Kyu the Dirty Magazine item (after you've unlocked her) and taking the weird device she gives you to Turtle Bay Beach at night. Note that Nikki is the only girl that goes to the beach at night. As long as you don't take Nikki home with you for the sexy time, Celeste will appear after you try to leave the beach.
  • Venus is unlocked automatically upon bedding the eight standard girls and Kyu.
Achievements
Pickup Legend
Spend the night with ALL the girls within 18 days.

The general strategy is to start bedding the 12 girls as soon as possible and with as few missed nights as possible. It takes at least four days to bed the first girl, 11 days to bed the remaining girls, and one day to unlock Celeste. This means that you'll need at minimum 16 days to complete this achievement and will have two days extra in case you screw up timing or a date. (However, due to timing for Venus, the achievement can't be completed until day 17.)
  • Buy the bag of goldfish as soon as they become available for unlocking Momo. As the available gifts are chosen at random, it may be best to ensure the goldfish are available on the first day before attempting this achievement.
  • Make certain after day three that you always have at least one girl primed (at 4 hearts) and hopefully more than one. Concentrate on particular girls until they're primed. Choose girls to prime next based on which affection traits you've upgraded and group the girls that all share a preference for a certain affection token.
  • Priority should be given to bedding Beli and Lola first as they occasionally go out of town for multiple days. Priority should next be given to Tiffany and Kyanna as they frequently go to sleep early.
  • Since Venus isn't unlocked until after the eight standard girls and Kyu are bedded, you must prioritize them over Celeste and Momo.
  • To unlock Celeste, you must give up a night/sex date to visit Nikki at the beach. She is the only girl that goes to the beach at night. Also note that bedding Nikki at the beach won't trigger Celeste's appearance, so no fourth date with Nikki here.
  • Although it's not necessary to successfully complete every date in order to get this achievement, it is helpful to avoid screw-ups and also earn the "Smooth as F*ck" achievement. Extra attention should be paid to night dates as there's really only one day of leeway should you fail a night date.
  • In order to not fail any dates, you must of course keep your traits upgraded and have a solid date gift strategy. Always buy the unique gift for a girl before talking to her to build your hunie up for trait upgrading. Buy the loved gifts (if available) to receive additional date gifts. Prioritizing girls that have a loved gift available that day is helpful. Finally, be sure to get the girls drunk before your night dates for the bonus sentiment. Also, it doesn't hurt to give them a lot of food while they're drunk to keep them talking and generating lots of hunie.

Zero Life
Earn a 100% completion rate.

General Requirements
  • Sleep with all twelve girls and collect all 49 photos
  • Upgrade all traits
  • Unlock all the hairstyles and outfits for all twelve girls
  • Buy all the gifts for all twelve girls
  • Learn the details for all twelve girls

Lucky Loser
Spend the night with 3 girls without upgrading any of your traits.
  • Getting this achievement isn't terribly difficult since you can fail as many dates as you need to
  • Focus on getting girls drunk for the sentiment boost and buying them loved gifts to receive date gifts. Remember that you can give them the same gifts repeatedly and still get the bonuses.
  • Easiest if you concentrate on dating only three girls since the difficulty of dates rises as you successfully complete more of them.
  • Late-game strategies like Pearl Necklace can be especially useful when going for this achievement.
  • Since hunie and thus talking to the girls has no use when going for this achievement, it can be completed while also trying for the Buying Love achievement.

Buying Love
Spend the night with ALL the girls without talking with any of them.
  • As the name implies, you'll only be buying the girls gifts for this achievement. Buying food and unique gifts is unnecessary as they only effect talking.
  • Money shouldn't be too much of a problem since you're not spending it on food and unique gifts, so buy as many gifts as you can, prioritizing loved gifts. As you'll not have much hunie for upgrading traits, your date gift strategies have to be on point, unless you don't mind failing a lot of dates.
  • If you accidentally talk to a girl, just exit out of the game before it saves.

It's an indirect match, but it is a good one. Especially if you have no way to fill it with a 5-token match.

You have missed a useful 4 in a row configuration that can be used often. With the standard 5 setup (AABAA) if you move the B token to the side two or more spots, the four A line up. :)

I'm not sure that actually affects any of the timeline for completing Pickup Legend. It'll still take 4 days to sleep with one girl. But correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd just like to note here that Pickup Legend becomes considerably easier if you pick Shopping Mall as your starting location, and meet Audrey. Due to the game's scripting, on day 1 you can date Audrey, Kyanna, and Tiffany in the morning of Day 1, then Aiko and Beli in the afternoon, Jessie and Lola in the Evening, and finally Nikki at night. You effectively save an entire day, starting on day 2 with all 8 girls dated once already.
