How to have 2 (two) followers simultaneously in Skyrim

Thanks to NPC Serana, everybody can use 2 (two) followers simultaneously in Skyrim. For example, to have both Serana AND Lydia with you (see picture), do this: Choose Lydia at the beginning. Then, when you meet Serana, do not finish her quest series completely: don't deliver her to her father, just take her with you as long as you want. ^_^ This way I had Serana & Lydia with me from lvl ~20 to ~50 and it was da holy fun ... because we were always wandering as a powerful party of three — plus all our summoned and revived creatures etc.!

I've also managed this with Sofia the fully voiced follower

I managed to permanently have 2 humanoid and 1 animal follower with me max, instead of the usual 1 humanoid and 1 animal follower. It happened after I did the Dawnguard questline, which you guessed it, involved Serana. I wanted to make her leave me, but she refused so she stuck with me until the very end when she finally did. But then after that I was able to recruit more than 1 humanoid follower at the same time (even outside of quests allowing this!)

But wait! There's more! If you do the quest to go with Esbern and Delphine to alduin's wall you can have Esbern if you don't finish it, I think. maybe delphine but I don't know.
