Intro
There is a bulletin board outside of Pierre's General Store in town. This bulletin board will show a randomly generated 'Help Wanted' quest which you can complete in exchange for Gold and increased friendship with the quest giver.

You are notified of a new quest on the bulletin board by a yellow floating exlamation mark hovering over it.

You generally get 2 day to complete an accepted quest - this is the day that you accept the quest and the day after. However there is no penalty for not completing a 'Help Wanted' request.

If a festival occurs during the 2 days, you may be unable to complete the quest due to most buildings being locked during festivals.
Achievements
You can obtain 2 achievements from 'Help Wanted' Quests; these are listed below:

A Big Help
Complete 40 'Help Wanted' Quests
Fishing
Either Demetrius or Willy will ask you to catch between 1-4 of a specific fish from the current season. The cause will be either to lower the population of that fish or to keep the art of fishing alive.

When you complete this quest you receive the amount of money that the fish would cost multiplied by the number of fish requested. Also you get to keep the fish.
Slay Monsters
When you have access to the Mines, Clint, Lewis, Demetrius or the Wizard will ask you to slay a random number of a specific monster.
Gathering
You will receive a request from either Clint or Robin.

Clint will ask you to collect copper, iron or gold ores (usually around 20-40 of them) or coal for him to inspect.

Robin will ask you to gather either wood or stone.
Item Delivery
Any adult villager that you have met and have the ability to earn friendship with can ask for a random item for various reasons.

The items can be anything from the given list:
  • A Crop
  • A Forageable Item
  • Fish (from the current season)
  • Minerals
  • Metal Bars
  • Animal Products
Villagers will pay you three times the item's usual value, which makes for an efficient way of earning money from low value items.

You also gain 150 friendship points with the requesting villager when you complete the request.

(Jas, vincent, Krobus, the Dwarf and your spouse will never make this kind of request)

(The text may read "Buying 1 <item> at twice the market value!" but the reward is always three times the market value)
