Prey: 4.5V Empathy Guide

Real simple you just have to invest time. For those wondering what is 4.5V this is what I consider to be the best ending in terms of recreating the image of Morgan. In short this is similar to a Mass Effect Paragon character. To avoid spoilers I will try to make everything make sense while discreet.

Enjoy the ending. Hopefully this made sense. If you have no idea what I am talking about make sure you try not to miss anything. These events will come your way. Take your time and search everything take every quest and at least complete the ones that involve helping humans. Only use your lethal guns/grenade weaponry on Typhons only. Have multiple saves to be save in case you feel that something went wrong.

Explanation: Spoiler Free (Simple Breakdown)

1. Never kill any human in Transtar.
2. Do not install any Typhon based mods. (Purple section. Do not listen to Alex even when he suggests to install one.)
3. On Typhon controlled humans use the Disrupter Stun gun to knock them out. (Since you won't have the Typhon Skill Mindjack.)
4. When you come across Psychotronics free the prisoner claming he has a code for you that lets you in the armory.
5. When you get to the Arboretum; which, is right after the G.U.T.S make sure to Knock out all humans in the Greenhouse. The guy at the window doesn't matter just don't panic and rush in. Especially saving Rani here is key. Engage the Telepath once everybody is knocked out.
6. When you enter Crew Quarters and meet the "cook" the fatty claming to be Will Michell just go along with what he says. After you do a few things for him he gives you the code to the freezer. Just go into the freezer. To avoid spoilers even if you are unsure there is a reason to go along with him even if he seems suspicious.
7. If you make it to the Bridge let the shuttle go. The console is next to Jada Marks' corpse. Just don't press anything.
8. Make sure when you get the quest to meet Danielle Cho at the pool knock out all humans with the stun gun. Then proceed to engage the telepath. Danielle will give you the quest to avenge her lover. Do not kill him when the time comes. To avoid spoilers just remember to disarm the Recycler Charge before you talk to him in the escape pod.
9. Enter Life Support and make your way to the Power Plant. You have to save Morgan's lover by speaking with that individual and complete the quest that person gives you. Meet that person at your office later and get the quest.
10. Get that information and send it to your office when you are in Deep Storage. Do not delete that information.
11. After the quest with Deep Storage Igwe will be stuck in the container. Dock the container with the console and do not open the container in space. It will kill Igwe and fail the quest.
(FxM. Ethan said not to forget about doing the side quest for Igwe. I had forgot to plug it in.)
12. Make turrets to help out Elazar and make sure in the skirmish with the Typhon not one human dies. I use the skill Combat Focus to slow time.
13. When the time comes to face Dahl knock him out with the stun gun. You need him later on.
14. Save Alex.
15. Choose Destroy ********* for the ending. This secures your position with **********
16. Reach the shuttle.

I didn't do almost all of these and I still got the empathy achievement.

for step 12 I find placing down a turret line AND throwing a typhon lure in front of the turrets gets optimal results. Even when attacked they will focus the Lure, so your turrets have longer to do the job.

FWIW, I did a all-Typhon run (Typhon mods, only) and blew up the escape shuttle via the console on the Bridge, and still got this achievement at the end. I did save everyone except the prisoner in Psychotronics (was killed by a random Typhon, tho), so maybe that tipped the balance.

I made a guide like this because if I were to make one where people get 3.5V and simply told them to skip everything unnecessary then the game would be more boring I feel. Truthfully I don't see why they never implemented a 4.5 ending because I think this would be it.
