HOW TO UNCENSOR YOUR GAME (works 2019)

If you're German or Australian or you've got the game from a German friend (like i did) this guide will help you uncensor it :^)

The Intro

The first thing you will notice when you boot up the game is the intro...its censored and very gay
the only way to fix it is for you to go to the folder where your game is installed
steamapps>common>Left4Dead2>left4dead2>media
now you will see a bunch of files but the only ones important are l4d2_intro.bik and l4d2_intro_lv.bik
Now what you have to do is to rename them
Add the _lv part to the name of l4d2_intro.bik and remove _lv from the old l4d2_intro_lv.bik file
What happens here is the game uses the uncensored version instead of the censored one and BOOM your intro is uncensored.Enjoy it ;)

The Actual Gameplay Itself

So,we got the intro out of the way.Now when you actually play the game for the first time you'll notice that there isnt:blood,dismemberment,burning zombies
How do we fix this? Simple,first you google "Left4Gore" its a memory patch that adds back all of those things.You download it,unzip it and launch the .exe file before starting the game (you have to do this everytime you wanna play uncensored).By the way that the patch works it wont trigger any VAC or anti-cheat systems so you're good.I have been using it ever since my german friend gifted me the game so i give you my word that it works.

Like all censorship and prohibition, it has created a far greater problem than it claims to be solving. The "replaced" gore in these mods is WAY MORE GRAPHIC than the original game was anyway.
