BlazBlue CentralFiction Achievements Guide

This guide will show you how to get every achievement in this game, do note that the PC version lacks some achievements from the PSN version.

Tutorial Achievements

The First Step :

In the first main modes you'll notice the Tutorial Mode which will explain to you how the game works. Simply finish every lesson there (Except for the character specific strategy guides), if you wanna rush this achievement you can skip the text quickly by pressing Start button.

Fighting Game Academy :

The strategy guides are located in the Tutorial Mode, each character has their own guide, simply finish their guide and just like the previous achievement you can quickly go through the text with the Start button, you will only need to finish one character's guide.

Training Mode Achievements

● REC :

Hop to the Training Mode and use the Recording Feature by pressing the Function 1 button then replay what you recorded by pressing the Function 2 button.

Challenge Mode Achievements

Is this what they call Love?

The Challenge Mode is a mode where you're given a flowchart of combos that you have to do, simply finish 10% of the whole cast's Challenge Mode, you can view your global progress by pressing the Function 1 button and this one shouldn't take much effort, simply finish 4 to 5 of each of the character's challenges, if you're still missing a bit more to get the 10% progress then do more, always rush the 9th challenge and the first 4 as they are the easiest.

Blue Flamed Challenger

Honestly this is a tough one, this Challenge Mode, unlike the previous BlazBlue games, is now divided into 3 sections: Normal, Hard and Expert,10 challenges in both Normal and Hard mode while the Expert mode has 4 to 5 challenges and to get the achievement you have to clear a character's challenges, just one though, especially when you reach the expert mode, I would recommend you to use your main character or if you can't, if you ever go and ask BB players they'll always tell you: pick Es, Mai, Hibiki, Susano'o, Tager or Terumi (TheAssistantX: I personally did it with Terumi in 1 day. Thank God!), as these guys are the easiest, me? I did it with Ragna my main because his challenges didn't require some 1 frame moments. (Except for Expert challenge 3. Aghh I'll never forget this number!) Good luck!

Note ( after spending +100 hours in this game )

I have come to the ultimate conclusion for people like me, and if i say like me, I'm talking to those who:
-Use a keybaord to fight
-Frustrated a bit when doing hard combos
-Have mediocre skills and can't control their fingers when it comes to spamming
-Are right handed
So basically, after spending a lot of time in the Challenge Mode and as a keyboard player: I could finish off 59.04% of the challenge mode globally, I'm going to rank the characters from easiest to hardest in my experience:
Easiest: Susanoo', Jubei, Celica, Terumi
Easy: Tager ,bullet, Mai, Hibiki, Es, Azrael, Izayoi,Tsubaki, Jin, Kagura, Hakumen, Ragna , Makoto, Nu-13, Lambda-11, Platinum, Kokonoe
Hard: Noel, Izanami, Hazama, Valkenhayn, Arakune, Rachel, Litchi, Amane,Taokaka, Bang, Naoto, Carl

concerning : mai, hibiki, izayoi, tsubaki and even bang, i might be wrong about these but on keyboard i found their challenges easy to finish if given a proper time and care, just for your infos : i finished izayoi's hard mode in 4 hours, tsubaki, still stuck with 2 challenges in the hard mode, same goes to bang, hibiki and mai : i couldn't bother to go tryhard the expert challenge for these guys

Free Tip : Go to the Items Shop and head to the soundtracks and get yourself: Bang! Bang! Bigbang! costs only 1000P$ (in game money) and hop to the Challenge Mode and choose this soundtrack as well as the Training Stage.

Pros :
Enhances your fighting spirit!
Lessens your weaknesses and makes you give up way more less than you probably would.
Cons :
Males do have a chance of getting pregnant.

update as of october 13 2018, this could be optimized but i think i'm too tired to tryhard further and this number satisfies me, characters that i couldn't really perform well as with my keyboard are rachel, carl and taokaka, the rest i think are beatable if given some care and time

Story Mode Achievements

And on that bombshell...

BlazBlue CentralFiction's Story Mode is divided into episodes which are divided into chapters, first i recommend you to familiarise yourself with every character in the game just to make sure that you'll know everyone's moveset when you arrive in a certain fight, or you may use Stylish Mode that are for people who would like to rush this achievement, press Page Up, K or R1 (on the controller) then press OK to breeze through the text swiftly, you'll get the achievement at the credits when the story ends.

Don't forget the extras

Once you complete certain chapters, you'll unlock some substories, to unlock this achievement: you have to view every substory including the Gag reels

BB Master

Remember the Library Mode that was featured in BlazBlue Chronophantasma? Well it is back under the name: Glossary, for newcomers it's like a dictionary where you can view terms and words related to the BlazBlue World.
To unlock the Glossary Mode you have to clear some bits of the story, sadly once you unlock it, some words wouldn't show up there until you clear the whole story, and to get the achievement you have to read every single term in the Glossary, terms that you haven't read yet are marked with "NEW" which makes it easier, once you read the final unread term, you'll get the achievement.

Arcade/VS/Abyss/Score Attack/Speedstar Achievements

Arcade Mode

Arrrrcade!

Unlike the previous games, in CentralFiction the Arcade Mode is divided into 3 chapters, each character (except the DLC characters) do have their own 3 paths, simply clear one of the paths there, you can make it easier by going to the options mode and turning the rounds to 1 round and the difficulty to Beginner, taunting will grant you a 100 Heat, after you defeat the 8th opponent and the credits start, you'll get the achievement.

VS Mode

Hang in there, partner

Go to the options and change the difficulty and change it to Normal, set the rounds to 1, go to the VS Mode and pick whoever you would like to play with and pick the opponent character next (most preferably Carl because he has the lowest health), kick their ass , end, get the achievement.

Grim of the Abyss Mode

The Abyss Mode returns in this game and it didn't change a lot and stays the same like in the previous games in terms of gameplay, however, one of the most noticeable changes are the stats mechanics in this mode, basically you've got "Skills" that you equip to "Grimoires" that are books you can collect in this mode.
Another noticeable thing in this mode is that, once you finish a levels path in the stage select, you won't be able to progress further until you beat some bosses in the boss mode, for example to reach the 4th stage, you have to finish the first 3 stages and 8 bosses.

Grimoire Collector

Simply get 50 Grimoires, just like every Abyss Mode in the previous games, each 20 abyss levels you dive through, a Boss will appear, defeating a Boss grants you a Grimoire, but you can only ultimately acquire them once you finish the abyss level you've chosen, if you lose a fight, you lose the Grimoires that you've acquired through it, of course you do keep the ones that you've got previously before starting the level, But : if you lose the fight you may lose the grimoire but the counter will not reset, it will still record how many grimoires you've acquired as if you did get them even if you did lose them in a fight .

Bookworm

At the end of each fight, you gain EXP to your equipped Grimoire, once the Grimoire gets to it's maximum, the achievement gets unlocked.

Escape Velocity

As you progress through the Abyss Mode, you'll get EXP, once you get to the 50th Level you'll get the achievement, the harder the abyss level the more EXP you get for your progress level, keep replaying hard levels for more EXP.

Can we keep it?

Once you defeat a Boss, you'll get his Grimoire, and if it does have a skill installed in it, you can extract it in the abyss level select.
Select a Grimoire from your inventory and press confirm, go to the fourth option down and press confirm, press confirm again to extract a skill from your Grimoire, earning not only the skill but also the achievement.

Let Hell Begin

Complete stage 1, 2 and 3 in the Abyss Mode.

The Azure Librarian

Simply finish every abyss stage, they are 8, the boss rush level is needed as you progress, if you don't feel confident enough to defeat a stage, keep replaying the old ones to level up yourself and your Grimoire.

Score Attack Mode

Um... Is that my score?

The Score Attack Mode returns, just like in ChronoPhantasma, you're given 4 courses and you simply have to finish course A, B, C and D, the difficulty doesn't matter, you can pick the easiest and still get the achievement.

Speedstar Mode

Before starting to read this section let's give some respect to the Unlimited Mars Mode.
RIP Unlimited Mars 2011-2016, Speedstar replaced it.

The Speedstar Mode is like a Time Attack Mode, you're given 3 courses and you have to finish all 3 to get the one and only achievement for this mode, basically in this mode you have to finish opponents consecutively under a time limit, and depending on your actions you might either lose or gain bonus seconds, you may also encounter a Boss Character will double your rewarded time as well as double your loss, it does have 3 courses A and B which are the same and C which is full 32 boss fight, a strategy? I myself don't have a special one to be honest but: a friend told me to pick Mai and spam C, and if the opponent blocks then add a 236A (236B if you're far from the opponent ) until he breaks his guard.
Finishing the courses grants you the Speedstar achievement.
TIPS AND TRICKS : use your rapid cancel more than your distoration drives , as it rewards you with more time , don't forget to chain an overdrive distoration to your attacks for even more bonus time and when you're being punished , use A+B+C+D to break from the combo then dash and attack back .

Replay/Gallery/Item Shop Achievements

Replay Theater

I Prefer Watching...

Go to the Network Mode and then go to the leaderboards, scroll left and select any match that you want and save it's replay then head to the collection section in the main menu and pick the Replay Theater and play the replay you saved and you'll get the achievement.

Gallery Mode

Click click

In the Gallery Mode there is a section called: Special Guests : simply buy everything there, to do so you'll need 36,000P$, you can farm that while you do other achievements, once you buy every guest illustration and you'll get the achievement.

Thank you for playing

Once you finish the Arcade Mode or the Story Mode, you'll get the ability to view the credits roll in the Gallery Mode, simply go there and play back the credits to get the achievement, it's in the movie tab.

Item Shop

Between you and me...

Once you clear the Arcade Mode with a specific character you'll unlock his test voice playback, hop to the Item Shop and pick the unlocked test voice, buy it and play it.

Favorite Color!

Simply go to the Item Shop and buy additional colours to any of the characters in the list to get the achievement, each pack requires 2000P$, buy only one.

Network Mode Achievements

Ranked Mode

Important Note: See the Well Played achievement beneath this. You need a mod to be able to play online normally.

Well Played!

Simply win a Ranked Match, go online and search for a buddy and
don't forget to use the anti region lock mod or else you won't be able to play Online.

And the Legend Begins...

Reach a LVL 11 in the Ranked Mode, you can do this climb in levels the old fashioned way or grab a boosting friend to do so, first you'll have 10 matches to play where your rank gets measured, you won't get a rank until you finish the 10 ranked matches.

Room Mode

Why does it feel so homey?

SImply hop to the Network Mode, go to Player Matches and create a room, invite a friend (If you do have a one to begin with) or wait for someone to enter your room and then play with him, win the match in order to grab the achievement.

Master's Before and After

Head to Network Mode then go to "My Room Edit" and go put some furniture there. After saving your room, you'll get the achievement.

You can create "cute"

Go to Network Mode go to D-Code ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and change your stuff there and create your card to get the achievement and your fancy card.

Keep your friends close

head to the online lobby, choose a lobby with at least 1 person, head there and go to the players list, pick anyone and add him to the good player list/favorite.

Honey! Do these match?

Collect 50 pieces of furniture, to do so, head to any online lobby and walk to the green vending machine that has x10 above it, you can grab furniture for your room from there.
Do note that the red and blue vending machines do not give furniture.

Secret/Hidden Achievements

You can get the hidden achievements in any playable mode except for Training, Tutorial and Challenge Mode and it is easily done with a second controller, sadly they've locked the ability to be able to play as 2 players with one keyboard but if you have no controllers and no friends to do this online use this guide.

NOTE :

Except for Sayonara and the Lord of the Bees achievement, these achievements can be earned while playing normally so don't worry about them unless you wanna rush the game.

So White!

Get 10 instant blocks, to easily grab this achievement, go to the VS mode and fight Nu-12 and let her use her swords spam distortion drive and once she does so, rapidly mash the block button to get instant blocks easily.

Destroyer of Guards

Use the guard crush 10 times against your opponent to get this, a guard crush is executed with A+B while you have 25 Heat.

Lord of the Beeeeees

Hit the opponent with 100 hits in a single combo, note that your opponent shouldn't be able to escape the combo at all or else it'll turn the counter to the blue colour, resulting in a failure.
There are many ways to do the 100 hits combo and here are 3 of them:

Ragna :

Corner the opponent, get 35% of your health, and use this combo :
OD->A->B->C->D->dash cancel->22C->214214D (You'll get 101 hits)

Arakune :

Get 35% of your health and 100 heat, corner the opponent and :

OD-->236236C-->236236C (100 hits)

Kokonoe :

Sayonara!

Do 10000+ damage in one combo, or literally: Kill a full health opponent in one combo, can be done in two ways, the easy way or the hard way:

Hard Way: With Hakumen, your opponent should be in the danger state(by depleting his barrier gauge), and your health should be on 35% health, corner his ass and: OD > 214214B > (236C > 623A) x 10 > Exceed Accel

Easy Way: Kokonoe: Go to the Arcade Mode after setting the difficulty to the easiest, then get your health to around 35% (not necessary), use Overdrive and go to the corner far away from your opponent and use 64641236C and keep holding C and keep doing the 360° motion (movement) with your analog or keyboard to charge Golden Tager's power and if your opponent didn't guard it, you should get around 200+ hits and 10000+ damage, not only granting you the Sayonara achievement but also the Lord of the Bees one in case you didn't get it yet.

Here is a video to showcase how it works, the guy played VS Mode so he gained heat by damaging Tager. Again, it is recommended you do this in Arcade Mode as you can gain 100 heat easily per round by taunting.

Here is another easy way. Submitted by Nurarihyonia: Go to the Abyss Mode, upgrade your ATK stat to the max, go to Level 1 and you may earn that just by doing an Astral Finish in case you can't make combos.

Power of Fate

Finish your opponent 10 times with a Distortion Finish, simply do a distortion move while he's nearly dead.

True Blue

Successfully executed 10 Astral Finishes. To execute a one, do an Astral Heat attack when your opponent has 35% or less of his health.

Gigaaaa Driiiiive FINISH!

Successfully executed 10 Overdrive Finishes. To do so, go Overdrive while your opponent is at 35% or less of his health and use a distortion drive.

Thanks, but no thanks

Do a throw-escape 10 times. Press B+C once you see a flashy exclamation mark near your character's head to escape his throw.

The end has COME!

Successfully executed 10 Exceed Accels. Go Overdrive, press A+B+C+D again and you'll get the achievement if you hit the opponent 10 times with it.

Sudden Cancellation

Execute a Rapid Cancel 10 times. A Rapid Cancel is done by pressing A+B+C while you're doing an attack and while you have 50 heat.

FINISH HIM!

Execute a fatal counter 10 times. If you you counter an opponent's attack with an attack that has a fatal counter propriety, you'll get a fatal counter.
Examples: Ragna's 214D, Jin's 22C and Hazama's 6B

It's like... Slow motion

Block an overhead attack while standing 10 times. An overhead attack is an attack that gets executed to break a crouching character's guard, block these attacks 10 times while standing to get the achievement.

100% of shots you don't take

Successfully used Counter Assault 10 times. A Counter Assault is executed by pressing 6A+B while blocking an attack and while you have 50 Heat. Do this 10 times to unlock the achievement.

I guess I'm going to drop the easiest way to do lord of the bees, cause I swear I have the achievement, 3% of people have it, and I didn't even try hard. I'm as casual as they come, and I was surprised I even got the achievement.

Step 1 : pick Taokaka
Step 2 : go into overdrive (almost becoming two)
Step 3 : bash a bit with weak attacks
Step 4 : do the overdrive super before the time expires without getting the K.O
Step 5 : immediately afterwards do the imma beat the crap outta you distortion drive ( 214214C)

I'm having trouble with "I prefer watching". When I go to leaderboards, I can't find the option to download replay data. Do I need the mod to be able to see it as well? I feel kinda weird having to install a mod to get an achievement.

Location 58 is Dimensional Prison (where Kokonoe traps Azrael)
Weapon 31 is Noise Canceller (what allows Ragna to use the azure grimoire when Celica is around).

No idea which chapters you need to replay to get them but hopefully that at least gives you a starting point.
