Darksiders Enhancements- Locations & Details

This is for the basic enhancements in Darksiders. *Revamped on 15/2/2016*

Simple details. Any questions, comment below and I'll answer back when I can.

There are a total of 12 enhancements to be collected in game. ( 8 Basic + 4 Legendary)

It's pretty simple to get these enhancements but here is a guide anyways.

Darksiders Enhancements- Bane

This enhancement can be obtained only by purchasing it from Vulgrim's Shop for 5000 souls.

Go to any Vulgrim location and buy it from him.

Effects

Slotted Bonus-
. Generates wrath naturally over time.

Generate Wrath over time but it's rate of regeneration is slow. (Buy if you have spares)

The bar will flash yellow indicating the regeneration process.

Darksiders Enhancements- Weapon Master

Like Bane, This enhancement is obtainable by buying it from Vulgrim. It costs 1000 souls instead.

First possible Enhancement to buy in the game.

Effects

Slotted Bonus-
. Boosts the damage inflicted by a weapon's attack

It boosts damage dealt with your weapons, not necessary to purchase early on but you can either ways.

Darksiders Enhancements- Ravager

Ravager will be the first enhancement you come across*

It can be found in the Choking Grounds Area when you have conquered the 4 Shadow Arenas.

Guide

Conquer the Shadow Arenas**

Approach the Tormented Trapped Gate afterwards and it will reward you with Ravager.

Effects

Slotted Bonus-
. Guarantees souls for destroying environmental objects by any means

Passive Bonus-
. Drastically increases damage inflicted with environmental objects.

* Assuming you have not purchased Weapon Master.
** Game progression.

Darksiders Enhancements- Bloodthirst

Bloodthirst can be missed if you are plowing through the game.

On your quest throughout the Twilight Cathedral to fight Tiamat, you will eventually catch onto a quest which requires you to place 3 crystal swords on to any 3 angels. It is through this part that you can grab this Enhancement.*





Guide

After defeating the Jailer, head towards the elevator and go down.



Notice the torches around the area. Light the torches around you and the ones you can reach in the open alley.*



Continue on until you can bring out a stone walkway to cover the lava path.*
Walk around the area looking for torches to light up.*
OR
Look for unlit torches and put some fire into it.**



Once completed, a cutscene will pop up showing the chest emerging.






Effects

Slotted Bonus-
. Causes a portion of War's weapon damage to be converted into health for him.***

* Assuming you have not completed the game.
** Completed the game already.
*** Very effective if you do not have the Abyssal Armour

Darksiders Enhancements- Combat Lore

Combat Lore can be obtained in 2 ways.

#1 - On your quest to defeat the Griever, you will come across an obstacle known as 'The Black Hammer' also known as Ulthane. War and Ulthane will fight until Uriel and the Hellguards interrupts, the game will then prompt a mini game of some sort between War and Ulthane in which they both compete against one another to 'pluck' more pigeons. Defeat more angels than Ulthane to win this and he will reward it to you at the end of the fight. Comes with the Achievement "Who's Counting".

#2 - Should you fail to kill more angels than Ulthane, you can later on purchase this from Vulgrim for 1000 souls.

Effects

Slotted Bonus-
. Boosts weapon experience gained during combat.*

Passive Bonus-
. Boosts War's Armour level.

* A must have usually.

Darksiders Enhancements- Reaper

Reaper is hidden within The Hollows.


The map to the left shows the location of Reaper.









The location, you will find yourself in a water filled tight area where you have to shut off a fan in order to proceed. On the way to the switch, be sure to look at your mini map and approach every end to locate it.

Effects

Slotted Bonus-
. Boosts the amount of souls gained when an enemy is killed with the weapon
. Extra souls are topped with this bonus if this enhancement is assigned to the Harvester/Scythe*.

Extra Info.

. 10% additional souls rewarded when the enemy is killed with Chaoseater or Tremour Gauntlet if Reaper is slotted in Scythe/Harvester.

. 30% additional souls rewarded if you killed the enemy with the Harvester/Scythe.

. Slotting any weapon with Reaper will not give additional souls if you activate an instant kill on the monster.

* Harvester limited to XBox edition.

Darksiders Enhancements- Hellfire

Hellfire is located in The Crossroads behind the large Blue Crystals.

You will need the Tremor Gauntlet to do this.

Guide

Locate the crystal, bust it and open the chest inside.

Effects

Slotted Bonus-
. Boosts weapon damage on strikes
. Chance to inflict additional fire damage over time

Darksiders Enhnacements- Carnage

Carnage can be found in the Dry Road near the Ashlands.

Guide

Proceed through the Dry Road, You will come across a part where you must reach towards the other side by using a rope with 3 Goremaws attached on top to stop you.

Exit out and continue on until you reach a part where you need to use the heavy block and the Goremaw as a 'lift'. You should have spotted a chest to the right by now.

Using the lift, jump towards the landing and open the chest.

Effects

Slotted Bonus-
. Boosts Chaos gained via the Chaoseater
. Allows generation of chaos by all weapons

Thanks for the Feedback Wazzap, I wrote this from my memory so it was pretty rusty and I haven't checked on this game for a while.

For the enhancement Carnage you got it mixed up, the order is goremaw with a heavy block in its (as you enter the tunnel in the area) mouth as a lift to reach the chest with carnage, then you go into the next room with the 3 goremaws and the chest to the top right, and then you continue to another place where you turn around to find a blue crystal you smash and find the life shard in it. figured I would let you know, otherwise, love the 3 guides you made I used them on my 2 playthroughs to get all the achievments. (wrote this as I went through the area to make sure I was correct)
