1. Credits and 5 Evils
Credits

Credits are the overall currency of the game (Dirty Bomb). They allow you to buy things in the shop and obtain new mercs, as well as craft new loadouts. One of the biggest issues for newer players is the difficulty in obtaining credits, or the lack of knowledge in doing it effectively.

5 Evils

There five things I have thought of which you need to remember and will be your enemy. They are evil but simply neccesary or something to cope with.

These Evils mostly pertain to gaining credits.

Pay2Win/Buying Credits or Boosters
This guide is about gaining credits. One of those ways is through paying, however, since most people usually play Dirty Bomb because it is free, I can only imagine they clicked here to find another way of earning credits. People who pay will get their credits faster, it is fact.

Dedication
Dirty Bomb rewards players who are skillful as well as persistent. If you are unable to play frequently you will not get credits as effectively.

Better Players/Getting Destroyed
There is almost always someone better than you at this game. Get over it, and remember they played frequently and earned their way, so can you. While getting destroyed is natural, it will sometimes slow you down.

Ping
Internet connection to Dirty Bomb Servers is key. If your connection is poor often, find a server to play on nearby your location, or accept that Dirty Bomb may not be the game that supports your poor internet. Either way, it sucks when you lag forward and back. Not gonna get anything done.

Experience Points = Credits
I will talk about this more on later, but players who manage to gain exp quickly and well will almost always have more credits than others. Every time you level up you get an Advancement Crate, this crate has a chance to give you credit boosters and rads both of which will help you get mercs and cases.
2. How You Should Spend Credits
Watch Your Wallet
Sadly it is difficult for many players to achieve credit balances so large it is possible to buy everything. So I’m going to give you some useful tips and guidelines on how to keep a good credit budget.

Buy What You Want
The biggest part is to buy what you want first. If there’s something specific you want get it. Nothing should be holding you back.

Don’t Buy Cases
It’s mostly not worth a 5000 Credits per loadout case due to the ease of getting fragments and crafting for cheaper. Do yourself a favor and avoid buying them.

Choose Mercs You Want Based On Liking
It’s a good idea to buy the mercs you want not based on price. A cheaper merc will be easier to buy but also will put you back so many credits and you’ll be left with more expensive mercs. Try and focus on expensive mercs to clean out the expensive pool, or get mercs that you know you will do well with. Try out mercs during free rotation!

Avoid Crafting Gold or Cobalts

While crafting a gold or cobalt card seems like an appetizing thought, remember there’s a 1/9 chance you get one specific loadout, while on the other hand a 1/27 of getting that loadout and in a specific gold or cobalt skin. Save your credits for mercs and once you have all the mercs it might be a wise idea to move to crafting. The best way to get a loudout you like is crafting bronze cards.
3. Tactics and Methods for Gaining Credits
What Merc to Play
Play mercs you do well with. You are going to get more credits for playing well and playing mercs you do well with makes sense.

Medics are Easy Experience
Medic characters (except guardian) are very effective ways of getting lots of experience. As I said earlier experience is key to progressing and getting more credits. Playing a medic like Aura can help grind out tons of experience due to the Health Insurance and Heal bonuses.

Engineers Work Too
If Medics aren't your cup of tea, Engineer characters are characters that play objectives, and objectives give lots of experience.

EV Destruction
Destroying the EV is an efficient way to get an instant 1000-2000 exp, so don't be scared to play Arty or Skyhammer.

First edition though. Nothing is better then deflecting rockets as rhino.

It's cheaper to craft all 9 loadouts in bronze than buy a bronze one: 1500 * 9 = 13500, and we can assume you'll get some dupes so you'll get in the range of 17,500 credits with all the loadouts rather than one.

It's better to buy a loadout from the shop directly then crafting or buying cases 100% chance to get the perfect augments.
(no more errors i could find)
