Intro
In this guide to the achievements, you'll be able to get 100% of all the achievements by playing alone, save the coop achieve where you need to host a split screen.

Hope it helps all of you guys wishing to complete the game 100%.

Do take note that in order to achieve 100%, you'll need to own the DLC's for this game, which, in my opinion, isn't too overpriced for the extra 4 or 5 hours. Overall the game shouldn't give you more than about 20 hours worth of hassle for the achievement hunting.

That all said, let's kamikaze right into the guide :P

Also, please remember to Rate and Favorite the guide, it really helps everyone playing the game to find the guide much easier.

Bronze Achieves (Easy)
Ok so there are a bunch of achievements that are so straight forward and easily obtainable. Only a handful of achieves require some sort of grinding or effort on your part.

Ace of the Skies
Shoot down 6 planes in under a minute.

Once you start getting used to the controls, it really isn't hard to achieve this one. Pretty straight forward, kill 6 bogeys and you should be sorted!!

A Confirmed Kill
Shoot down an enemy fighter with a rocket.

This one takes a bit of practice, but I've found that on Easy diff the enemy planes do a swerve to lose you and after a number of swerves, they level out their plane and then fly straight for about 1 - 2 seconds. It's in this timeframe that you need to spam your rockets and you should be able to hit the enemy plane after a number of shots. Take note: Your rockets don't go where your crosshair aims, so you need to get famaliar with the angle of your rocket shots and you should be waxed from there onward. From what I've seen was that you need to aim a bit above your target and you'll hit.

Trigger Happy
Launch more than 100 rockets in a single mission

It's important to note that this basically means you'll have a pretty bad accuracy rating at the end of the mission, but wurf!! Start right clicking like a mofo once a mission starts with a missile fighter plane and you'll be sure to get the achievement. Also take note that there are planes with a larger amount of rockets that can be fired at once. If you haven't got this achievement yet, go back to previous levels and you'll be able to get it one sitting, 4 rockets or 2, guaranteed.

Flying Hunter
Sink 5 ships in under a minute.

It might sound challenging, but this one goes by fast. I personally got this as one of my last achievements on the Russian campaign somewhere. Big battleships take about 2 rockets to sink so you don't have to use torpedos or bombs in order to destroy them. Rocket gun run and you should sink them no prob.

All aboard...(Russian Campaign)
Stop the train before it reaches the railway station (single player).

There will be multiple places where the train can be hit, a red hitbox which is the engine part and the yellow hitboxes which will be the turrets on the train which will hit you. Make sure you hit the turrets in about 2 or 3 gun runs and then focus on the engine before it reaches the town. You should have something like 60 seconds before that happens. More than enough time.

Divine Thunder
Defend all battleships at Iwo Jima (single player).

Straight forward, complete on easy and you should have no issue doing this mission. Accuracy is key.

Two Heads are Better Than One
Play a co-op mission.

I got this achievement by doing a local coop on my pc and using my Xbox One controller as 1P and keyboard and mouse as 2P. By just playing with keyboard and mouse, I completed the mission, landed with both "controllers" and got the achievement. Only 1 mission is necessary.

A Private Party
Shoot down all V-1 rockets headed for London (single player).

This one was hard. For me at least, because I used my Xbone controller and not my keyboard and mouse (duh!!). But I got it after about 3 tries. Speed and accuracy is crucial here and you need to prioritise to get as many rockets in one flying direction (traveling towards the rockets firstly, getting behind them and then destroying them) as you can. Practice makes perfect on this one.

Test Pilot
Finish a single mission in Siumulation mode (other than Baptism of fire).

Turn it off in the main options menu and then you'll feel your plane handles a bit different. 1 mission cleared in this mode is all it needs.

God Save the King
Fly under every bridge in London (single player).

In For King and Country, there's one massive canal running from the right in a crescent to the left or vise-versa. All you need to do is fly from the one end to the other. There are 7 bridges total.

Silver Achieves (Moderate)
300% Accuracy
Destroy 3 enemy ground vehicles with one bomb.

I got this one relatively late in the game but basically what you do is you go and search for a clustered group of enemy vehicles and pop a bomb in between them. I think I just wanted to be sure so I made a super low fly by in my bomb run.

Air Superiority
Shoot down 300 fighters in Campaign mode.

This should unlock once you have completed the single player campaign. This is only applicable in the campaign.

Moving Target
Drop a bomb on a plane during takeoff

Act 1 - Mission 7. You'll get a specific runway where you'll be advised that you need to bomb the fighter planes before they take off. Do a bomb run and you should have it. Otherwise, restart checkpoint.

Here's a video if you have issues getting this one. Thanks to Evil Kenivl:

Gold Achieves (Hard*, not too hard)
War Hero
Earn all medals and the highest rank in all missions (Act I and II).

Take note: This is across any difficulty thanx to Autositz for confirming. Best done in Easy difficulty as it really is straight forward then.

Here's a couple of hints to keep in mind:
  • Use Ace Mode to kill much faster (left trigger when playing with a controller).
  • Reducing speed can help increase your accuracy with your secondary weapons.
  • With rockets, I've found that aiming a little above and to the right of the target will hit it.
  • Order your wingmen (when available) to attack targets.
  • Weaken ships first before killing them to build up your combo multiplier.
  • Focus on your combo multiplier by killing in rapid succession. This also works with destroying ground buildings. Go for the groups of ground enemies and then buildings and then sky foes.

The scores you'll need to get 5 stars are below next to each level and act:

The above tables only show the score. The medals for each level will be discussed in the next section.

V for Victory
Finish all missions on HARD difficulty level (Act I and II).

This isn't too hard, just play for checkpoints. All you have to do is focus on the objectives and staying alive as the damage you receive from enemies will be much more compared to the easier difficulties. The hardest level I found where I needed to retry constantly, was the one where the V1 rockets were heading towards London.

I'm Not a Rookie
Earn all medals and the highest rank in all missions (The Sands of Africa).

See War Hero.

Famous Ace (Russian Campaign)
Earn all medals and the highest rank in all missions (Russian Campaign).

See War Hero.
Medals
I'll only be explaining the objective of some of the medals where it might not be obtained on the first run. Some are level specific and I'll go into more detail regarding those. But remember you can always view what is needed. I'd recommend going after the medals on Easy difficulty as they are carried over between difficulties. Also take note that some require you to complete the levels with the other planes that are available. Some of these make it easier and some of these are much more challenging due to the limitations they have regarding weapons, maneuverability and armor. Read before starting your mission to see which you need to use.

Outstanding operational efficiency badge - Complete all secondary mission objectives
Check your secondary objectives before starting the mission and check ingame as often as you can. None of these are too difficult and some have audio cues that help you know when you should do what.

Antipodean Ace Medal - Destroy 1 enemy plane in inverted flight
For this you need to have your control set to simulation mode. Roll your plane upside down and keep on wiggling your plane when upside down as I believe the plane will reset it's orientation after a couple of seconds. It's not too hard if you have played something similar before, but it is still a bit challenging. Stay on the first target you see, do a couple of bursts and preferably look for a plane that only flies straight, like a bomber.

Reconnaissance pin - Take a closer look at the landmark
There are 3 in the entire game. These are pretty difficult if you don't know what you are looking for. Here's the levels and what to look for below:
For King and Country
The moment the mission starts, you'll see a large domed building that is to the lower right. Fly towards it and the pop up will appear telling you the landmark has been marked.
Special Delivery
When the mission starts, turn to your back left and fly along the coast toward the castle you should remember from the previous mission. A pop-up will appear when you are close enough for the pin. Use your speed boost as often as you can, because you'll be timed while doing this. Make sure you do not land on the runway that causes one of your allies to say "that's odd, intelligence said it was farther war" or something like that. The real runway is a little farther along the river.
The Rats of Tobruk
To the back left of the area is a huge stone archway over a river. Fly close to get the pop-up saying you've received the pin.

Medal for exceptional bravery - Land on the enemy airfield
Look for an airstrip where you are able to land, meaning there might be lights on both sides of the runway or there might be planes that took off from the runway.
Closing Notes
I personally had a lot of fun playing this game. It was my game away from Battlefield 3 and 4. Also, it kinda helped a lot that I played jet in those games before starting to play this one. The mechanics are the same in essence, lead your target and be conservative with your bursts as your gun can overheat. For a jet only game with a solid story and plane mechanics, it was pretty fun and the controls were decent.

Any other things I might have missed, leave a comment and I'll update if needed. Anything I can do to improve on the guide is also a massive help, so any suggestions I'll take to heart.

Hope it helped you all in achieving the 100% achievement completion in this game.

If this guide helped you, please rate it and favourite it so that you'll be able to get to it much quicker in the future. Thanks again for the read and Happy gaming!! :P

I tried those two achievements again in arcade mode and they unlocked this time. I wonder if they're broken in simulation mode.

I fired way more than 100 rockets in a single mission but the achievement didn't unlock. I also got a rocket kill on a fighter and that one didn't unlock as well. I got other achievements so I don't know what's up with these two.

Might need to double check on the 5 star score on Act 1 mission 8. I got 240k and I was still at 4 stars. Maybe they raised the score?

Hi @Sourgun, I checked thoroughly now and it is a setting in the main menu options that you need to disable. Check the Test Pilot achievement above in the guide for a bit more information.

Hello, how are you? First, I wanted to tell you that it is a very good guide and second, how did you get the simulation achievement in which map did you play or can you get it playing in pairs because it gets complicated xD

I'm coming with an update to the second mission 'All Aboard'. The 5 star score here is 75000 points.

I figured out how to get 5 stars on Payback mission. if your using keyboard and mouse, start of the mission "Mouse wheel up switch to dive bombs" Once you are at the air field drop 1 bomb at a time to rack up multiplier. The mission requires you to get 20x+ multiplier in order get 5 star rating. Remeber drop bombs 1 at a time so the other bomb can recharge fast enough.
