Near Guaranteed Win Salvage Method
By ShadowzOfTheDark
This guide includes a pattern that I found that can almost guarantee a win from a salvage, so far I haven't had this technique fail on me..

Basics...
This entire method almost completly based on which audio cue you are on...
The pattern below works about 80% of the time, however for animatronics such as Baby and Lefty it may not work. What you mark in the checklist has no effect in the game (at least from what I can tell) so just mark "Unsure" whenever it promts you to open the checklist. Apparently you don't even need to check anything on the checklist, just open it and then bring it back down and continue the audio tape. Lastly, DO NOT open up the checklist unless told to, when you are told to open the checklist, quickly open and then close it.

Note: Something has seemed to have changed in the game that has made the animatronics a decent amount more aggressive in this salvage minigame.

  • Audio Cue 1: Wait until the audio cue is done, then quickly open the checklist, mark it, and close it.

  • Audio Cue 2: Once the audio cue is done, zap the animatronic and quickly check the results...

  • Audio Cue 3: Wait until the audio cue is done, then quickly open the checklist, mark it, and close it.

  • Audio Cue 4: Once the audio cue is done, zap the animatronic and quickly check the results...

  • Audio Cue 5: Once the audio cue is done, zap the animatronic and quickly check the results, or just quickly check the results ( I'll explain why you have a choice here soon )
That extra zap...
The option to zap on the 5th audio cue is in result of an extra zap. Yes this method can only use two zaps and work about 80% of the time. However I do recomend using that extra zap either on the 5th audio cue or the 1st or 3rd audio cue. It's best to save the extra zap for the 5th audio cue however but sometimes that isn't an option when it comes to baby or lefty. The only time you should use your extra zap on the 1st or 3rd audio cue is when the animatronic is hostile, which I will show you what the animatronics look like when they are in their hostile state...
Shady Looks...
The following images are what the animatronics look like in their various stages. If they are in the hostile position use your zap when the audio cue is finished NO MATTER WHAT, unless you wish to die that is...

Smart Fellas Aren't They?
Notice how Baby and Lefty look inactive in their hostile state... Don't be fooled, we are dealing with sentient, haunted animatronics here not your Chucky Cheese family friendly not sentient, non possesed animatronics... Now you have fun with your "Much needed revenue boost"

I'll be taking notes on this once I revisit the game, thanks for the guide ;)

Fun fact: YOU CAN SKIP SALVAGES BY PRESSING CTRL+S!

Just make sure it's during the period after the animatronic's been shown and before the prompt to salvage or not. Only downside is that the audio goes away for some reason, but restarting the game just fixes it :)

i would use this method if my laptop could actually play sound for once

best method (may be considered cheating)
hit the key combination: CTRL + S
flip the checklist up and down
success
(do note that if you want to return audio after the salvage, as this method mutes the game, simply hit CTRL + S again)

A better method that I found is the following:
Do the audio prompt then the checklist for the first 2 audio prompts
As the third one start, zap the animatronic.
Then do the audio prompts and the checklist until the final prompt where as it begins you zap the animatronic.

For this method you must be quick when doing the checklist.

Also every animatronic has an extremely quiet audio cue that you may hear when they're hostile.

Molten Freddy has popping and mechanical clicks.
Scraptrap has a heartbeat.
Scrap Baby has the sound of chains grinding together.
Lefty has the sound of a whirring hand crank.

also it's worthy of noting that staring at the checklist for long times makes them WAY more agitated.

And when they're hostile you should always zap BEFORE flipping up the list, as they may be in a state where they can't kill you from standing but CAN kill you from flipping the checklist.

obvious tells for each animatronic:
Molten Freddy casts a large shadow on the table when hostile.
Scraptrap bares his teeth and stares directly forward when hostile.
Scrap Baby's eyes only glow when hostile.
Lefty casts a shadow on all but the rightmost point of his star when hostile.

Their head is the biggest give away. If Molten Freddy is peeking over the table, he ready. If Jimmy Neutron's head is looking at you, he ready. If Scrap Baby's neck is bent in a broken way, she ready. Then if Lefty is hunched over, it's ready.
