Overview
If you want to get all achievements or simply see everything in game you will need two walkthroughs. There are a lot of missable content on the way, but if you plan second walkthrough there is nothing you should be especially aware of. It'll make your life a bit easier if you try to open all chests in all dungeons, but nothing is missable. You can follow this guide for your first playthrough to get max on your first try or you can go blindly and use it only on your second walkthrough if you prefer.

atm, this guide is already full with all info for collection trophies, so feel free to follow it! I can always find ways to improve it, of course, and most likely will tune info here and there for some time, but it won't change things much.
Prologue & Chapter 1 -The Eclipse-
Prologue
Everything always starts with the prologue. This game isn't different. But before you start choose your difficulty. Consider several things. If you're not familiar with Ys games battle system will be weird for you. Even if you know them first two-three bosses will be the most difficult as you're still learning the game.

If you go for the trophies you need to finish it on Calamity once and once with Infinity mode. Calamity is the hardest difficulty option. You can start with it and lower it later if it's too much, but you won't be able to turn Calamity on back after that. Infinity isn't a difficulty per se. It's an additional mode which adds 60 levels to all Greeds in game. It is designed for NG+, so there is no way to turn it on for your first walkthrough. It's recommended to go with Calamity first time and Infinity+Easy/Normal/Hard for second walkthrough if you go for trophies. You can also go with Easy-Nightmare 1st and Infinity+Calamity on 2nd. If it's still too hard (which not likely so) you can go with 1st Easy, 2nd Infinity and 3rd Calamity. But note: difficulty in this game influences not only how strong are mobs, but also how hard is platform jumping.

4/17 Day 1
After story scenes you get control over main character Kou. Now you have access to NiAR, in-game SNS with a lot of apps. First app you will use will be social one - Friends. At least half of the NPCs you can meet in-game will be added to your Friend list. Each NPC has several notes in their profiles which could be open by talking with someone at the correct point of the story or automatically with story progress. One of the trophies requires to get all info on all friends. I will list all interactions which give you updates for Friends tab. If you miss them first time, be sure to get them on second walkthrough.

At the same time all NPCs have some backstory and their life will change as story goes, so you can always talk with everyone to know them better if you're interested.

Here is the list of NPCs you need to talk to to get first notes in their profiles:
  • Ayumi - Main Building 1F
  • Takashi - Clubhouse
  • Haruhiko - Main Building 1F
  • Minoru - Annex Building 2F
  • Nodoka - Main Building 1F
  • Ayato - Clubhouse
  • Hekiru - Main Building 2F
  • Hayato - Main Building 2F
  • Yuuji - Main Building 2F
  • Karen - Clubhouse
  • Chizuru - Main Building 2F
  • Masataka - Main Building 3F
  • Fuuka - Infirmary - Main Building 1F
  • Kousaku - Clubhouse
  • Shizune - Library - Annex Building 1F
  • Erika - Main Building 3F
  • Mr.Shiotaka - Main Building 3F
  • Tanabe - Roof
  • Matou - Annex Building 1F
  • Saki - Clubhouse
  • Ms.Keiko - Infirmary - Main Building 1F

Visit the library in Annex building. Here you will get the tutorial and new tab in NiAR: Books. And yes, there is a trophy to get them all. Check the shelf on the first floor of the library to read first book. Reading will also increase your Wisdom stat, one of the special three stats of MC.

Kou has three special stats: Wisdom, Courage and Virtue. They represent teaching of his grandfather and let you know if you'd be able to get true end at the end. To raise Wisdom you need to read books and answer questions correctly when asked. Courage is given for clearing dungeons and for completing some quests. You get more Courage the better is your clear grade. If you improve your grade later you'd get courage points you missed first time. Virtue is given for clearing side-quests. For True End you need to have at least 8 full stars at the end of the game.

Station Square
Check this location and get info on these NPCs:
- Azusa - in front of Star Camera
- Airi - in the center of the square
- Hitomi, Marie - talking near the center
- Kenichi - inside bookstore
- Grandma Mitsu - down the stairs
I strongly recommend to spend money on Cure potions in pharmacy. Of course, you can also upgrade your equipment in any shop.

Brick Alley
- Nobuo - coffee shop
- Old Man Yamaoka - barista in coffee shop
- Tamaki - artist in the middle of the street
- Kaoru - owner of boutique

After collecting all Friend notes just go to work in antique shop. You will automatically get notes on Yukino [1], Kou [2] and Asuka [1].

Ruins of Abstraction
As this is the first dungeon, don't expect much gameplay-wise, but take your time to learn the battle. I think controls from keyboard aren't the most comfortable, so I changed it. You can also do it. I changed these keys: Num5 - Attack, Num4&6 - turn camera left or right, Num8 - Jump, Num7 - Lock on, Num9 - Dodge. It really felt better to move around^^ Your course of action in dungeons is usually simple: lock on target, switch to the character of the advised element and attack. If Greed is reading an attack - dodge. Use Power Attack (charge E) and Flying Attack (Jump + E) to wreck more damage. Repeat until there is no more Greeds. Boss - Menace Ogre Don't think "It's a first boss so it'll be easy". You can be easily killed even on Easy and Normal. This guide describes boss battles on Calamity. If you go with lower difficulty bosses will be less aggressive and may not use at all some of described attacks. Boss will try to hit you with its claws, charge in you if you're far away and call forth the circular AoE. All attacks could be dodged if you time dodge well. I find attacking from the distance with magic and dodging its charges easier than going upfront with aerial attack in its back right after it charged into the wall (but who says you can do both?). Its charge ahead kill or nearly kill you, so if it get ready to charge try to get out of its way. Its AOE has limited range, so it's not too hard to get out of range. After you deplete its health to zero it will become invincible and you will need to use Asuka's X-Strike to finish it. To do it you need to switch to Asuka and hit PgDn while holding PgUp button.
Chapter 1 SS -White Shadow-
You will get Friend note for White Shroud [1] and visit short new dungeon. Side Stories are addition of eX+ version. There were no SS on Vita. During SS you play one or two characters who are not Kou. You will see some scenes and get control only after entering a dungeon. There is one dungeon in every SS.

Abandoned Path
This dungeon will be you go to for fast runs. It's short, so you will return here near the end of the game to get tropies for fast run and 'no damage received' trophies. But now it means trouble for you. Your hero is much more powerful than Asuka and Kou and can easily hit everyone with advantage aside Shadow-type enemies. But downside is Greeds still can hit him hard, so buy healing potions from the relic at the beginning of the dungeon and do your best to avoid any damage. Don't forget you have only one character. If Shroud dies you will need to retry dungeon from the start. Especially be careful about plant-looking Greeds - they usually don't attack you directly, but instead they like to place circle traps right before you. Traps hit very hard if you step in them, so don't run in straight line if plants are near... or better not to run at all and simply use Ranged skill. Boss - Gold Harpie This is the first bird-type boss you meet. It can charge in your direction, but charge is short and slow, so if you don't stand near it when it get above ground dodging it will be easy. It has two ranged attacks - sound wave-like which will hit multiple times if you got in it and tornadoes. Tornadoes are the most difficult to dodge, but if you learn to run away from them boss won't make any more problems. If you get close to Harpie it will use also wings to slash at you which hurt. Also, don't forget to use special attacks you have and heal. As you don't have other characters try to always keep hp near 100% so you will have a room for error.

Chapter 2 -Mysteries-
4/27 Free Time
During lesson choose "The Odyssey" for bonus Wisdom.
You will automatically get Asuka [2], Gorou [1] and Sousuke [1]. Collect Friend notes from:
- Munenori [1] - main building F3
- Saki [2] - talk to Towa in Annex Building F1 to get it
- Saburo [1] - cafeteria area in club house

Visit dojo for the story. You will get Mai [1]. Now you have unlocked side-quests. Some of them are required to proceed with the story, some are not. Required quests are marked with red in game and with [#] in my guide.

You also unlocked Free Time feature - Affinity shards. These shards are used to see special bonding events with companions. There are not enough shards to see each available event during Free Time, so be sure to choose others on second playthrough. Also remember, you get soul points from these events in case they're with active party members (and with those who will be them in the future if it's your second walkthrough) which increases their soul level and give you advanced support in battle if they're with you.

When you try to leave the school you'll get story event with Rion getting Rion [1]. You can use disk she gave from inventory.

Feel free to exchange all gems into yen. There are no other use for them. Second stop is in the shop next door Star Camera. Talk to the seller girl Akane (Akane [1]). Next go to Blacksmith on Shopping Street (Mayu [1], Jihei [1]). At last, you need to visit Brick Alley to turn in quest to Antique Shop owner.

Completing this quest unlocks recipes in NiAR. Now you can learn all recipes from bought books and start cooking. Usually meal is better than potions, but you get lazy to cook (like in real life)

I dropped My Precious... Wallet Getting from: Nodoka – School Main Building F1 near clubhouse Reward: 200 Gems, Nodoka [2] Talk to Nodoka and accept quest. Then just check the roof and pick up the shiny object.

This time you have 2 Affinity Shards, but 3 companions to choose from:
  • Asuka - Station Square - it will give Old Man Yamaoka [2]
  • Shiori - Books ORION - Station Square
  • Ryota - Shopping Street

After you finish everything above, continue to follow the story. Mr.Yanagi is waiting for you in sport shop on Shopping Street. During work you will get Mr. Yanagi [1]. After you finish working go into alley behind candy shop. New dungeon is waiting for you.

Amber Labyrinth
This dungeon isn't linear and it has several "floors", so check the map to be sure where are you going. You will also learn new trick - flying. To fly you need to jump and press Ranged Skill button (E on keyboard by default). This will let you glide forward. Usually if you fail gliding you will fall down a level and will need to run back, so try to master this skill! Boss - Dread Golem Golem-type boss Greed. It can fire laser into you or try to slash you with its "paw". Sometimes it start to whirl around turning itself into moving tornado - this is the most deadly of its attacks, so go out of its way asap if you see it coming. Golem has high def and decent mdef, so special attacks are the most effective against it. Use them as soon as they're charged.

4/28 Story Time
Before you will follow story check on Ms Keiko [2] in Infirmary and Minoru [2] in Clubhouse. You can also find Nobuo in Annex Building 1F. From this day forward you can give him cooked meals. He is interested in either perfect or failed ones. After you give him specific number of different meals he will give you different rewards.

Moving with the story to Shopping Street. Talk with Takashi [2] near entrance and visit blacksmith. Talk with Mayu to get Mayu [2]. Get outside. Now you can re-visit all dungeons to get better grade or more loot and exp.

Go into further alley to talk with Mai ( you will also get Mai [2]). Move to Station Square. First make a visit to Books ORION and talk with the seller boy to get Kenichi [2]. Then talk with the woman in Star Camera and police officer near station entrance.

Next stop is Brick Alley. Go into Cafe to catch Hekiru [2] and then talk with the painter in the middle of the street.

Choose "Square => Street => Alley" to get Wisdom. You will get full star at this point, so Kou can visit Temple for the reward from grandfather.

Be sure you talked with everyone and got all equipment you need before moving to Memorial Park.

Simply talk with Aizawa on the bench to open new dungeon.
Moonlit Garden
Dungeon time! Dungeon map can look scary, but it's pretty linear because of the closed gates. Boss - Glare Phantom Boss will be a bit more challenging. His circle attack can be avoided by jumping over it. Other attacks include slashes and digging under the ground with appearing near you and making a slash. You can track its movement by dark shadow to get away from it. Usually before digging it sends shadow after you. If shadow touches you you will be rooted at place and need to press Left-Right to get free. As boss plans to appear and slash you better to outrun shadow (not a good plan) or make a dodge in last second to avoid it. After you deal a lot of damage it will fall onto the fround in exhausion showing up its core. Core is weak to Wind, so use Sora to dish as much damage as you can in that moment. After getting up it usually create circle dark zone around - you need to run out of it to avoid damage. It also put up a shield against ranged attack so you need to strike with Power Attack to break it. Move characters with depleted health into support slot to heal them for free without potions. And most importantly use all the moves you learned on the way.
Chapter 2 SS -The Promise that Day-
5/1 First Day of Vacation
This Side Story is made from the Sora's view. You will have control over her only in dungeon.

Amber Road
Be cautionous arounf Iron Maiden-type Greeds as they like to pull you inside. Flying attack works best on them. Other attacks need to be timed to avoid getting inside. Using ranged is an option, but with MagRes it is slow, but steady way. Boss - Nefertis Boss here is a mage-type. Start fight with Asuka's X-Strike to destroy all totems with one hit. If you get close to boss it will use circle AOE around - its glowing orb give away this move. It has only two more attacks. One is simple magic orbs (giveawy - raised hands), they don't have great range, so dodge and get as far as you can from boss. If you see electrifying air around - dodge! Expect several lightings to strike where you stood. On Calamity at the last health lighting hit without breaks, so dodge - ranged strike - dodge is a way to go. And Sora is faster with this than Asuka.
Chapter 3 -The Word of God-
5/7 Free Time
You will automatically get Chiaki [2]. There will be 2 quests in NiAR. When you try to leave school you'll get Shio [1]. Try to get out again for one more event and new quest.

Eclipse Hunting [#] Client: Asuka Reward: 200 Gems, 1 Affinity Shard Go to Station Square. You will see numbers in the left upper corner. run around until you get 100% there. Press PgUp to open the gates. Now you have access to first Free Dungeon named Viridian Labyrinth.
Viridian Labyrinth
It's easy, even all Greeds are already known. And there is no boss at the end. Here you will also learn to fly. But beware game is pretty sensitive with locking on, so if you try to fly while there are mobs nearby... most likely you will do air strike and fall down. There are two ways to avoid it: use the ranged attack to kill mobs before jumping or use double jump and hit E in air twice - first one will be strike, second one will allow you to glide forward.

Free dungeons don't have bosses at the end and they give additional Affinity Shard for the first clear if done during Free Time. And yes, you can clear them later and miss that shard. Also, if you cleared them in first walkthrough, you won't be able to get shard from them in NG+. Shard is given only for the first ever clear aside the Viridian Labyrinth as you get shard from quest instead of directly from dungeon. But there will be additional Free dungeons on your second walkthrough. No such luck for third if you'd run it ^.^"

[NG+]Seventh Spirit Barrier
This dungeon is available only in New Game+. Check Arcade in Houraichou and look past arcades with fishing game.

Visit comp lab in school to see the event with two teachers.

Pursuit of (Overdue) Knowledge Client: Ms. Komachi Reward: Royal Milk Tea, 200 Gems Talk with librarian to get this quest rolling. • Cooking Quest - Tofu Dengaku - Books ONION - Station Square
  • Purrfectly Catty - Books ONION - Station Square - this is stat boosting book for Asuka. Use it after you get her with you

Now you can visit Memorial Park and check the skatepark for the first available mini-game. If you played ToCS II you should remember snowboarding. This is the same thing.

Rules of the game are simple: use Attack (Enter) to speed up, WASD to change direction. After reaching at least half of the speed bar you need to use A and D to maintain speed. After getting in special zones you need to hit Jump (Backspace) to do a trick. To clear the course you need to collect required amount of flags and perform set amount of tricks. At the moment only one course is available. More will be open as story progresses.

At the end of the Brick Alley you can see an additional scene.

After visiting Kou's room and placing all collected items in it you'd get additional scene with Ryota and Jun.

You will have 3 Affection Shards (up to 4 in NG+) and 5 friends to choose from:
  • Towa - comp lab in school. You'll get Towa [2]
  • Gorou - Clubhouse. He will get there after the scene in the comp lab. Gorou [2]
  • Sora - school dojo. Sora [2]
  • Rion - Star Camera - Station Square
  • Jun - Boutique - Brick Alley. Ryouta [2]

After you finish all the things above visit Houraichou and take your time to look around.

Here are two interesting places - Arcade and Pawn Shop. Pawn Shop sometimes will sell things which were missed in previous chapters, so if you forgot something check it later and maybe you will be lucky to find it here. Arcade is a place for mini-games.
Arcade Mini-Games
To play in Arcade you need to exchange yen for medals. These medals will be used to purchase items in Arcade shop. There are four games available. All of them you should know if you've played ToCS.

Explosive Fishing with Demon Prince Rean
First game is Demon Prince Ultimate Fishing. You will play as Rean and will be able to fish in places from ToCS. There are three places to choose from. You need to pay 10, 100 or 1000 medals for each attempt. You have a chance to get different fish. If you caught easy fish your chances to get rarer ones will increase.

You start fishing by pressing Enter. Press Enter again when there will be ! mark above Rean's head. After this you will need to press from 2 to 4 buttons in a mini-game. The rarer the fish the more presses and faster you will need to do.

To earn a lot of medals you should fish at the same place until you get boss-fish. Usually the chance of the boss-fish will raise up to 6-10% by that time. I'd also recommend to have medals for at least 5-6 attempts when you start, the more the better, especially in case of the last course.
- The easy 10 medals route usually turns profitable on each fishing attempt.
- The middle 100 medals route half of the time let you win, but half of the time you'd lose. You'd usually get a bit on plus side before you get boss fish. But you can also go negative for some time.
- The hard 1000 medals route will let you lose a lot of medals before you'd get profit by catching boss. Usually you'd have 5-6k medals in negative before you will see boss for the first time.

Mishy Panic with Magical Girl Alisa
This game is whack-a-mole with Magical Alisa whacking Mishy toys. You need to run around and hit dark toys, but avoid hitting light-colored ones. Your reward will depend on your score. There is no tricks or special advice for this game. Just try it and see how good you are.

Toy Crane
I think everyone knows crane games, but this one is much easier. You choose one of the options how to proceed. If you fail number of options will decrease. If you want that plush just continue to choose whatever you want and eventually you'll get it. Usually any plush will be caught in 2-5 attempts. Collection of available toys will increase with every story chapter.

Gates of Avalon - Blade
This is mini-game with the most intricate rules. If you've played ToCS you should already know card game Blade. Here is used its improved deck and rules from ToCS II. If you haven't played it before it's time to learn it.

Blade is a card game with cards from 1 to 7 and special cards. You and your opponent put cards on the table after each other, so the sum of placed on table cards will be higher than sum of opponent's cards. If you're even both your cards will be removed from table and you will start from drawing new card from the deck. One become the winner if opponent can't place any more cards on the table.

Aside numbered cards there are special cards: Bolt - deletes last enemy card; Mirror - changes all yours and opponents cards on the table with each other; Blast - let you blindly delete card from opponent hand; Force - doubles your score on table and also numbered card 1 - normally gives 1 point, but if your last card was hit by Bolt it will be recovered instead. There is special rule to prevent easy victories - if you play special card as last one you'd lose.

The usual tactics for this game is about dropping low-scoring cards as fast as you can and then use big-score cards to provoke opponent to use them too, so your opponent will sit with his low-score cards unable to use them which make him lose at the end. Because of Force card you should be careful with placing too much cards on the table at the same time and use tie to remove cards from the table from time to time.

Arcade game allows you to challenge different opponents and gain levels. To level up you need to beat opponent of your current level twice in the row using "Continue" after first victory. At the beginning you'd have only 2 opponents available, but more will be open later.
Chapter 3 -The Word of God- (continue)
You can buy Morimaru Plush for 2k medals in Arcade shop. There is also good accessory named Kitty Fie Plush which cost 20k medals. Up to you if you want to play mini-games to get it. But if you are playing on high difficulty accessory which make you immune to all statuses is more than worth all that time spent fishing. Glorious potions here are also a thing to consider for stacking up.

Collect friend notes:
  • Itsuki [1] - Houraichou

Also there is new category News among Books in NiAR.

Visit Brick Alley. Before going to the Gallery talk with Yaeko who is walking with her chihuahua to get Kaoru [2].

Corridor of Souls
Dungeon is pretty short. New mechanic - Warning rooms will have resp points where Greeds will apeear in waves. Boss - Haze Fairy Fairy-type boss will wait for you. I'd recommend to kick boss in close-range. Use your most powerful strikes as boss has heal and can restore its own health... and will do so constantly if you won't use all skills. You need to unleash all your power at once with X-Strike usingg at the same time to clear area from lesser mosters. Drinking Somas to replendish special bars can be good idea if you stuck in battle for too long because of its heal.

Nope, that's not the end of the chapter. You again have a bit of time to run around.

Friend notes:
  • Hayato [2] - Clubhouse
  • Azusa [2] - Station Square
  • Shiori [2] - Books ONION - Station Square - talk with Kenichi to get it

Owner of the meat shop on Shopping Street will give you some freebies.
There will be new service in Antique Shop after talk with its owner - Tips. Yeah, some late tips for the game.

Check Cafe Bar in Houraichou and buy new recipe there Cafe N Recipe - Milk.

After finishing everything one more time go to the new area. On your way to second floor talk with all shop owners to get their profiles in NiAR: Kozue [1], Catherine [1], Togashi [1] and Tetsuo [1] on 1F, Tomioka [1] on 2F. Ayumi in the middle of the 1F will give you some snacks.

Second Spirit Barrier
Now you have 4 characters, but only 3 can participate in battle and enter dungeon. It's up to you to choose those who you enjoy to play... just don't forget to check Greed elements. Boss - Astral Widow This spider starts slow. It uses only slashes and try to get attached to columns at the border of arena. Columns are weak to Steel, so Yuuki will crash them. If you do it fast then spider won't have time to attack and will be running between columns. After its hp drops it will start connect to several columns at once. Spider will also start to run charging into you. If you destroy all attached columns sider will drop on the floor and you will have around 10 second to dish it whatever you want. Near the end spider connect to all columns and start ro use three new AOE attacks. You can either hit columns to calm it down for short time or try to kill it with all your power strikes.

5/11 Story Time
Short story event.
Chapter 3 SS -Spirit Sword Wielder-
5/17
A bit of story.

5/18
Story. You will learn about 'Spirit Sword Wielder' and go into new dungeon.

Scarlet Battlefield
Here you will learn Omega Drive. Asuka will be quite powerful so you don't need to worry about elements... much. But don't forget her hp decrease with time and because she's alone if hp drops to zero it'll be game over. Boss - Vampyr It has charge attack and round smash. Boss can also breath fire in a conical zone before it. And jump creating AOE near landing place. Most of attacks are easy to dodge or at least windows to get away big enough. Asuka's EX-Strike freezes enemy interrupting cast of any attack which you can use to your advantage. Same as with Shroud - don't forget you have only one character so better to make her eat everything and stay at 100%. Use X-Drive in a bind as it's your powerfull auto-heal in this battle.
Chapter 4 -BLAZE: Firestorm of Memories-

WANTED: Fleet-Footed Female! Giver: Mr. Yanagi, sport shop Reward: 2x Sadistic Soda, 2x Galette Bretonnes, 300 Gems, I-Lighting (Sora's shoes) Go into shop and talk to Mr. Yanagi. He will requests help from Sora. You need to go into any Eclipse (Free one in Shopping Street, for example) and make 10 powerful attacks and 10 flying attack. First ones are made by charged E, second ones by jumping and taping E in midair.

After you finish quest above you can return to school to get one more Affinity shard.

Diamonds in the Rough Giver: Kozue, jeweler in Nanahoshi Reward: Bronze Charm, 400 Gems You need to give her Crystals of 5 elements. You can get them in dungeons randomly. But most likely you already have them with you. If not you can try exchange in Pawn Shop, fail cooking some recipes or chack battle info in NiAR to find Greeds which drop them in one of dungeons.

There is also a hidden quest. Visit swimming pool to get it.

Spartan Training Questgiver: Ms. Saki Reward: 400 Gems, Courage points After getting into swimming pool you will be asked to help with training. Choose "Be Cool" to participate. This quest requires you to win twice in swimming mini-game (do you remember ToCS? yes, it's the same!). You need to press RB and RL in time with circles (PgUp and PgDn on keyboard by default). You swim faster if you get more hits in the row. It's actually not very hard mini-game and it will allow you a lot of misses. If you lose you can Retry.

There is Free dungeon in Shopping Street:

Ruins of Recollection
Leave Kou on the bench as there will be no mobs weak to Fire. Aside big Ogres no problems in this dungeon. And because Ogres are wind-weak this dungeon will be good for "WANTED: Fleet-Footed Female!" quest.

[NG+]Sacred Land of Time
Another Free Dungeon is accessible only in New Game+. Look for it in Kokonoe Shrine. In the room with switch high in the middle you can easily get to it from one of two stairs. It will open hidden door with a chest behind it.

Sadie in Nanahoshi Mall can do a 'reading' for Kou and a friend increasing Bond for both of them. Be sure to visit her. You can choose only one friend each day.
There is also a capsule machine near anime shop. You can collect all accessories from it.

Return to school to see Mitsuki back and get one more affinity shard if you haven't seen it yet.
Don't forget to visit Kou's Room to place all bought items on shelves and watch a scene with Towa and Sora.

Tetsuo (Nanahoshi Mall 1F) has pretty nice Elements to exchange for. Military and Cosplay shops there can give decent equipment upgrades.

Affection Shards. You can get up to 3 shards to use.
  • Shiori - Library
  • Ryota - School dojo
  • Yuuki - Nanahoshi Mall 1F
  • Asuka - Memorial Park
  • Mitsuki - Main Building 3F

After you finish everything it's time to go to Boutique and start working. Be sure you haven't left anything undone.
Chapter 4 -BLAZE: Firestorm of Memories- (continue)
5/22 Story Time
Here you can choose either one for your team. Just choose whoever you like. It will change some dialogues a bit, but nothing significant.
Go straight to Brick Alley and... make the beeline into Cafe to talk with Sakaki [2]. Visit Antique store and Gallery for the story after that. You will get Rion [2] later.

Move to Houraichou. Talk with the old man near karaoke to get Mr. Shige [1]. Then move for the story: host on the street -> Naomi in Arcade -> Back Alley.

In danceclub talk with the marked NPCs and choose these answers to improve your wisdom: "Nod, hoping he'll continue" for bartender, "Ask about Akihiro's deeds" for the pair on a date, "Roll with it" for dancer. After this some events happen which give you Akihiro [1] and pull you into new dungeon.

Cave of the Fallen Dragon
Problem can be only with mobs weak to element you don't have with you. Be sure you have antidotes with you or poison immunity accessories as most of the mobs will try to poison you. In the middle of the way you'd come across water-filled room. Try to jump around and avoid this water or you get "Burden" and can die pretty quickly. Same water will be in final room of the dungeon. You can clear the place with ranged attacks so you won't need to worry about mobs while jumping around. Boss - Blade Rex. This dino is weak to wind, so get Sora with you. He likes to jump and in love with circles, so there will be circle AoE in the place he jumps to. He also has head-slam which make circle around it and standard charging forward attack. And tail-spin which is wider than his usual AOEs. He's moving fast and constantly jumps around, so be careful and keep moving.

5/23 Story Time
You'll get Shio [2] automatically and News update. Talk with police officers and then listen in on yakuza. And then get out from there into Back Alley.

There is not much to check into danceclub. But you will get Eiji Gotou [1] and Kazuma [1]. Just follow the story and go to Underpass. You'll get Akihiro [2], Kazuma [2] and Eiji Gotou [2].

Before following further you need to check around the city and collect everything as usual.

Friend notes:
  • Chiaki [3] - Station Square
  • Osamu [2] - Station square
  • Mizuhara [2] - Sakura Pharmacy - Station Square
  • Mr. Shiokawa [2] - Soba Restaurant - Shopping Street
  • Karen [2] - Nanahoshi Mall 1F - talk to Catherine for this one
  • Haruhito [2] - Houraichou
  • Aoi [3] - Brick Alley

You can get one more reading from Sadie. And don't forget to upgrade your equipment if you need it. Then it's time to move to the new location.

Azure Ruins
You have now more party members and ability to give Kou different master element. Because both required guys have Fire element you should use this new ability and give Kou either Wind or Steel. Take the element from one of the mates you leave behind. I choose Yuuki as third and gave Kou Wind. Don't forget to give some accessories to Shio and maybe even change his equipment. Greeds here will try to Paralize and Freeze you. So you may want to have items or accessories to help it. Dungeon is also pretty long with the whole three maps. Boss - Dark Delphinium This boss is annoying for sure. And can be more difficult than ones before. Take Asuka with you and check that both Shio and Kou have Fire. Be sure they all have Poison immunity in accessories. You need to jump and dodge and avoid vines all the fight, so it'll be intense. There are two canon-type Greed weak to Spirit on sides of the boss. Kill them as fast as possible. Dodging their fire along with boss is insane. Boss will resummon them during fight several times - keep killing asap. At the start of the fight boss uses only vines, so you need to time your jumps/rolls or ran out of range as you are free to run around. Look at the plant body - it give away which attack it will use next. After getting down to half of its hp it starts to create poisonous puddles with no way to run around them and a very small place between them - you can either run in them taking damage or try to dodge in the small space left. You can use ranged attacks, but they are ineffective. Wait for plant to use its claws and drop down on your platform. Its head is weak to Fire, don't try to use powerful attacks - head will get up faster than your attack lands, so deal one or two normal attacks. If you deal a lot of damage plant will drop - this is the time to hit with all your power. You can also try double jump to reach head, but mainly it's reachable with Shio's EX-Skill. X-Skill will deal a lot of damage too and can help with killing canons and X-Drive with Asuka in second slot will give you powerful auto-heal along with damage and other bonuses, so try to stay alive and activate as many spacials as you can.
Chapter 4 SS -Sigh of Yuuki Shinomiya-
5/27
Story time.

Garden of Stagnant Water
Be aware you don't have support slot here, so the only way to heal is to use items. Expect "Burden" status. Plant-looking thingies use traps which you need to avoid if you don't plan to die quickly. Item "Meaty Udon" will be quite helpful because it gives temporal immunity to traps damage after eating it. This dungeon also uses new way to hit switches. As you can see on the map some switches are located outside the path - you need to hit them with ranged attack to turn on. Boss - Dynasty Ogre It's just improved version of the first boss, but still... I haven't liked him a bit. His most common attack send several orbs your way. They form traps after hitting floor. Good news - traps disappear quickly. Another one is him charging at you. Third attack is a earthquake cast. He's staying at one place, glow for short time and then release a big circular AoE around him which hits very hard. You can avoid it by running in the farthest corner from him. There is also slash with his arm if you're in close-combat range and another casted attack which appear after you put its hp down to half. This cast calls forth spikes of ice around the place you stood. Spikes will linger for several seconds and work as traps during that time. Ogre will also put a shield from ranged attacks at the same time which you will need to break.

5/28
A bit of story.
Chapter 5 -Hidden in the Fog-
6/3 Day 1
Persona 4, anyone? Nothing much to do in school this time, just take a quest in Infimary and try to leave to see more story events.

Garden of Reflection
As it's one of free dungeons there will be no boss at the end. Use this knowledge and unleash special moves on Shadow-weak enemies instead of saving them for boss.

And one on the 1st Floor if you're in NG+.
[NG+]Fortress of Light
It is located inside military store on the 1st floor of Nanahoshi Mall.

If you collected all Kagemaru straps from Candy Shop you can give full set to Hitomi. She's sitting in the Cafe -N- Houraichou and give you S-Rare Element for it.
Don't forget to put Megastation 4 into your room. There will be scene with Shio and Yuuki.

Chapter 5 -Hidden in the Fog- (continue)
6/4 Day 2
We're back in school.

Friend notes:
  • Jun [2] - Classroom - Main Building 2F
  • Hitomi [3] - Books ORION - Station Square
  • Kozue [3] - Jewelry Shop - Nanahoshi Mall
  • Satsuki [1] - Observation Platform - Acros Tower

Talk with Ayumi near dojo to get 2x Mushroom Sandwich. If the one you haven't done Sadie's reading yet is Asuka you can take it now. When you get up on Acros Tower Observation Platform check the coffee shop and buy Tokyo Sandwich Recipes.

For story you need to talk to lottery seller on Station Square and Rika at massage parlor in Nanahoshi Mall. After leaving Nanahoshi you'll see story event and get Mikuriya [1]. When you visit Acros Tower you can get up to Observation Platform on it. You'll find Urara there to talk for the story (Urara [1], btw). When you try to leave there will be call for help. This is your last chance to stock on supplies before the dungeon. As you get ready go to Shopping Street.

Temple of Evil Mist
Dungeon is short, but there is a bit of a trick to it. There are three paths at the beginning, but you need bridge to cross. Use switch to move bridge between them. Don't forget about left path and chest there when you'd go to for all chests trophies or S grade. Boss - Malice Claw I felt it easier than previous boss. This hand has a bigger AOEs and it mostly crit hit on you, but its attacks still don't hurt as much as Ogre's. Its basic attack is a floor slap which make circle AOE around it. Another one is five orbs which it sends your way. You can try to dodge, stand between orbs or dash out of conical zone. Third attack is simple and straightforward laser in your direction.

6/6 Day 3
As soon as you get control over Kou again you will see News update and gained info on Kyouka [1], Mayu [3] and Mitsuki [2].

You should gather information from three NPCs before going to Brick Alley: Takahiro in Soba Restaurant, Shopping Street, Kazuki in Books ORION, Station Square and Youichi at the Kokonoe Shrine.

Friend notes:
  • Marie [3] - Infimary - Main Building 1F
  • Hayato [3] - Main Building 2F
  • Munenori [3] - Main Building 3F
  • Akane [2] - Star Camera - Station Square

Go to Brick Alley and get Mikuriya [2]. Boutique has the best gear for this chapter, so if you need it make a beeline. Overwise follow the story into cafe (Old Man Yamaoka [3]) and then Antique Shop (Yukino [3]).

Scarlet Labyrinth
This dungeon was planned to make you try and use Mitsuki's special powerful attack. Hold E to make it. After there will be bubble around her. This bubble will hold for some time (just enough to run through poisoned zones) or until first mob's hit nullifying damage from it. She also much more powerful with ranged attacks, so it's a bad idea to use normal attack. Boss - "Puppy" Ok, I know it's not its name. Use Mitsuki in battle and don't forget about her bubble. "Puppy" has basic set of attacks: head-slam, jump, rash and beam-like attack. Overall easy to avoid, especially as you attack it from distance, but as puppy is very fast and use attacks one after another without breaks you should be constantly on the move.

There is nothing much to do aside replendishing potions if you ran out of them. Follow the story in Memorial Park. Was you curious about Grove area? Time to get into it!
Birdcage Corridor
On first map be sure to NOT hit the last switch, as it will turn corridor back and you won't be able to pass to the exit. But if you still hit it go back to previous (second) switch and hit it again to return corridor to the place you need it at. At some point on second map you'd get near gates and two switches before them. You need to turn them on at the same time. There is pretty small window to make light second one. Use ranged attacks if you cannot make it running. Wide ranged attack of Shio can come in handy to solve it easily, but you can do so with any character. You will meet four similar switches later. Lighting them in pairs should save you time to turn all four on. Boss - Chaos Raven Its pattern isn't hard, but if you'd get hit it'll be painfull. Expect beak-slam, 5 orbs which will follow you, body slam and summoned tornados. They all have short range, so if you run far from boss they won't reach you. Or you can dodge. Or use Mitsuki's barrier. At the same time boss has a lot of health, so it'll be long battle. You can use Mitsuki to play safe and use barrier to allow yourself more space for errors, Shio to hit hard and deal with it faster or choose others as you like.

Witch's Briar Castle
This dungeon no more harder than all before it. There are new traps classic for any 'castle' - walls pressing you, flying axes and magma and water and all of them mixed up. If you have accessory giving immunity to Burden and Burn you should be fine... or don't forget to use Mitsuki's barrier. It;s a cheat here. Also, if you're going for all chests trophy (only possible to get on second run) don't forget to look around carefully - several chests are behind nearly normal-looking walls. They look normal, but could be destroyed - just check map to find them. Boss - Mist Witch Ow... this fight will be crazy. Witch has a lot of projectile attacks, springs some thorn traps, but the worst are her illusions. She creates her copies and then they all start projectives and chainsaw-like attack around hem of their skirts. They try to surround you and corner you, but dodge is allowing you to cross these saws in worst case. At some point they all stand close to each other and put floor in blue fire - it covers only circle area around them, so get away from them as fast as you can. At some point area is covered in mist. You can't lock on witch then, but you still can hurt her... or simply run away to avoid getting hit. Main advantage for you is that witch makes area glow red sometimes. While you look on red-filtered room witch is weak to Spirit attacks=use Asuka and/or Kou with Spirit Master Core. Her illusions will also be weak to Spirit making killing them easier. If it's too hard to kill them - dodge all the time, there are several seconds before she summons illusions or un-summon them when she stays vulnerable to Spirit and just stands on one place. It's your time to strike. If you still have hard time, use Giganamin and Glorious to heal and recharge bars. X-Strike is generally for time with illusions on, but Asuka's EX-Strike is good for this too, especially when witch and illusions stand together. D-Gauge will also help you heal and do more damage. Good luck with this hectic battle!
Chapter 5 SS -Maiden and the Silent Flame-
6/7 Holiday
Only event scenes today.

6/8 School Closed
As usual for SS you can control characters only in new dungeon. But you'll automatically get Taizou [2] before it.

Diseased Ruins
Expect to be poisoned and burned. Don't forget about Mitsuki's barrier which let you run freely in poisoned water or magma. Boss - Gust Phantom You'll get Mitsuki [3]. Boss is similar to second one. He likes 'Paralisis'. All his attacks are already known to you - circle AoE you need to jump above, tornadoes, swimming under ground to you, sending following you smoke which will root you on one place and send wind-beams. If you manage to strike him down he will become vulnurable to Fire.
Intermission -Coming of Summer-
6/18 Free Day
As soon as you get control you will see Friend updates: Shio [3] and Towa [4].

Friend notes:
  • Shino [1] - Front Desk
  • Suzuna [1] - Lobby
  • Kasumi [2] - Garden

Don't forget to buy newspaper Morimiya Today - Extra Edition at Front Desk.

Visit the Shrine and take the shining thing at the cave entrance. It's an affinity shard. After you return to the garden you'll see a scene and get Wakabe [1] and Akira [1].

Affection Shards. You have up to three shards and six possible 'dates':
  • Yuuki - Main Entrance
  • Mitsuki - Garden
  • Asuka - Garden
  • Shio - Lobby - you'll get Shio [4] and Kazuma [3]
  • Sora - Lobby
  • Rion - Building in the Garden - You won't see her event right away. Instead you'd spend shard and event will trigger later.

After attending all friendship episodes go up on the second floor. After the dinner you're again in control of Kou. Talk with Suzuna in the Lobby to get Suzuna [2], then have a talk with all party members. Check the map if you can't find someone. Leave talk with Asuka as the last one. You will automatically get Asuka [3] from it. After the talk simply move to the hot spring and chill there a bit... story won't give you too much time to relax.

Sacred Land of Eternity
You automatically get Rem [1] and Rem [2]. Map of the first part won't help you much, you will need to look on your own in-game one. Boss - Five-Tailed Fox Kill the strawberries! Fox will eat them and restore health. Its main attack is stomp by paw and jump with circle AoE around landing area. There is also classic charge, actual laser and a lot of power in its punches. During combat Fox will lose tails and change its element. It starts vulnurable to Spirit, then Fire, then Wind, then Steel. At the end it will have only one tail and be vulnurable to Shadow.
Intermission -White Shadow II-
Story time which will give you Armored Soldier [1].

Ruined Castle of Darkness
Check your inventory and don't forget you can buy some potions from the relic. As there is no support slot here, potions will be the only way to restore your health and resurrect characters. Boss - Dark Avalon His attacks are projectiles, dark traps and two circle AoEs before him. But the one he uses the most is his charge forward. He doesn't charge in straight, but instead follows you, so it creates a bit of problems. Through there is an easy way to avoid all his attack - try to stay on the opposite corner of the arena and most of his attacks won't reach you. At the same charge will be easy to dodge. Downside is - your attacks also won't reach him from this corner so you will need to hit him while on the move there.
Chapter 6 -Wing and a Prayer-
6/25 Day 1
You will automatically get Kou [3].
Choose whoever you want to accompany you. It doesn't matter aside that you will get into dungeon in exact same team.

Friend notes:
  • Wakabe [2] - talk with Haruko walking around 1st Floor
  • Togashi [2] - talk with Mashima near Military store

Things to do and buy:
  • Amber Barrette - Jewerly Store - stat boost for Sora
  • Cloud Disk - Thrift Store - stat boost for Yuuki. Both items required for exchange are gotten from failed cooking. If you don't have them and ingridients to make them you can return to this shop later
  • Pleiades - Thrift Store - this is Master Core. You need all of them for trophy and switching them can make a difference in battle. You should have Crystals for it, but may be missing elements. You can upgrade I-grade Elements to III-grade in this same shop. Or buy them at Star Camera later.
  • You can do a reading with Sadie if you took someone with you who haven't visited her yet.

After this visit Animate and let story go on.

Ruin of Fading Melodies
Before you start be sure to change Master Core in Yuuki's weapon. You need to give him Spirit-type core, because this dungeon doesn't have any Steel-weak enemies. Change the cores for other members if you need it too. This dungeon is short overall, but here you will for the first time remember all platform games. A big water paddle, lasers and flying platforms. If you have hard time with all jumping and timing accessories with immunity to 'Burden' and 'Paralisis' will help, same as Mitsuki's barrier. Just keep in mind for Gliding you need range attack bar which is used for barrier. You also won't be able to glide if you're paralised. Boss - Resonance Golem His attacks - four circles around him, sound wave-like straight-forward ranged attack and tornado'ed charge which will follow you. But area is big, so the tactic from previous boss will work here too. It's easier than headless rider.

6/26 Free Time
Time to have a bit of free time! ^.~ At the start you'll get Seijuurou [1] and [2].

Before you will be leave school you need to see an event near main entrance.

Lights, Camera, ACTION! Client: Movie Club Reward: 600 Gems, Kousaku [2] Talk with them in school cafeteria in Clubhouse. Time to be a star. Choose these answers: - Be Bold! - Sorrowfully - Small Sigh If you get answers right you'll get bonus to Wisdom too.

There is a Free Dungeon in Acros Tower.

Corridor of the Sky
Actually this dungeon has nothing of note about it. Aside getting item for Bizzare Liquid Gathering quest. Just clear and forget.

And in the Pool for those who is in NG+:
[NG+]Prison of the Murky Depths
Visit Swimming Pool to find an entrance at the back of the area. As any Free dungeon there is no boss, but fight with Elites at the end. There is also a lot of poisonous water on the way which made it sometimes tricky to dodge mob attacks.

Visit Kou's Room to place all items there. You'll get scene with Asuka and Mitsuki.
Chapter 6 -Wing and a Prayer- (continue)
After you've finished everything above head to Star Camera for the story. You will be able to visit one more optional dungeon:
Temple of Twilight
Don't forget to change Master Core for Asuka. Here you will again need to remember all platformer games you played and try to jump fast between disappearing platforms. Boss - Arc Fairy This is fairy-type boss which you have already seen, but this time... Start battle from killing all summoned mobs. Fairy mainly use three tornados and charge forward attack. Both easy to dodge if you don't stand right beside it at the moment of the cast. The key to win here is to do a lot of damage as fast as you can (X-Drive + two Strikes), because this boss has powerful healing which it like to spam, so as soon as you drop its health to 50% it heals back to 80% easily. One of the tricks here - EX-Strike (one when you press C) of Asuka can stop healing spell, buying you a bit of time. If you out of special strikes don't shy from using meal to increase EX-Strike count to be able to at least freeze fairy and stop its healing. If not... well, I got my combo here raised above 999 with no big problems, so dodge until your bars of special strikes will be full again.

After clearing this dungeon talk with Chief Satonaka in Star Camera to get Akane [3]. You will also get Affinity Shard and unlock Asuka for friendship episode.

Affinity shards. You have up to 5 shards and 8 friends to meet. Also, Shiori, Ryota and Gorou will send you message cards after meeting with them in NG+. These cards are required to see the final friendship episode later (and to get their bond trophies).
  • Mitsuki - Entrance - Acros Tower. Mitsuki [4]
  • Yuuki - Entrance - Acros Tower. Yuuki [3]
  • Shio - Shopping Street
  • Shiori - Roof. Shiori [3]
  • Gorou - Clubhouse
  • Ryouta - Arcade - Houraichou
  • Sora - Kokonoe Dojo - Kokonoe Shrine
  • Asuka - Station Square

After viewing all episodes with friends go to Antique Store for work. This will end Free Time and let story go. When you'd get to chose take the second option Abandoned Factory for the Wisdom bonus. You'll automatically get Akira [2]. No point wandering around, you can go straight to Factory for the story.

6/27 Day 3
Chose whoever you want for the party - it will change only a bit of dialogues, but not much. You also automatically get White Shroud [2].

Then speak with Chika and use elevators. You'll receive Kyouka [2], Haruna [1] and Reika [1].

Friend notes:
  • Ryota [3] - Entrance - Acros Tower
  • Minoru [3] - Comp Lab - Main Building 2F
  • Mr. Shige [2] - Houraichou

Go to Karaoke Club in Houraichou. Talk with the clerk. You will get News update. The only thing left is to get inside room 107.

Fourth Spirit Barrier
Here you will get new element to dungeon crawling. It's a puzzle. Easy one when you need to hit switches in the same order they lit up before. Boss - Alter Angel Its pattern is easy: projective feathers, rash forward and whirpool under it which will try to drag you in. It hits less than previous bosses too. It would be easy fight if not for its teleportation. Angel tries to teleport behind you all the time and every time you lose lock on it and that's annoying.

Palace of the Winged God
I'd recommend to take Asuka with you. Her new Spirit Master Core will make a difference in battle. After first map you will be forced to take Rion in your party. Her element is Wind. So Kou, Rion and Asuka will be the best party for the rest of the dungeon. Don't forget to change Rion's equipment as her original one is pretty weak. You will also meet new type of puzzles - you will need to turn "mirrors" to focus beam of light on the door to open it. Boss - Seraph of Despair This is Grim Greed, same as Mist Witch, but I think it's easier than she. Its basic attack sends two disks your way. It's actually hard to make it hit you. If there are black dots in the air near its legs - it'll be straight-forward spears, so run left or right. But this boss is better with traps. You will see a lot of bear traps on the ground, so watch your step. Another trap is birdcage. Sometime it will be dropped on you. Attack cage at the same minute to get free from it as fast as you can. You're sitting duck while you're in the cage. The last trap (and the main one for the mechanic of this fight) is spears appearing from the floor. At the beginning there will be a little space between spear squares to stay safe, but later all the floor will be covered in them with only safe spot being on the round platform boss drops before this attack. Seraph also tends to fly high, out of reach for the most attacks. Both Asuka and Rion can still get it there through with ranged attack (but not Kou><). Standing on that platform will allow other characters to reach it too, so most of the time you'd want to be on it. Oh, and also boss sometimes summons that disk-looking Greed you met in dungeon. Try to kill it fast or ignore it until you use S-Strike.
Chapter 6 SS -Resolute Wings-
7/04 Holiday
Story time as usual until getting in new dungeon.

Palace of the Luminous Sky
You can choose either Asuka or Mitsuki to go with you. At this point of story Asuka usually is stronger while Mitsuki has her barrier. Boss - Noa Grendel The first thing you should take care about is its two summons. They are weak to Wind and their charges across arena can make you suffer a lot. Deal with them asap. How difficult will be fight depends on how fast you kill them. On Calamity you may want to leave Lighting Sword or Ice Sword elements on characters. They will allow you to paralyze or freeze summons making at least one of them unable to attack for some time. This will give a bit of breathing room. After you will be left one-on-one with boss keep your distance to avoid flamethrower attack. The only annoying thing will be its teleportation which will make your lock drop from boss, but as you will expect boss to appear behind you you will always have time to run or dodge.
Chapter 7 -Hollow Quake-
7/06 Day 1
You automativally get Rion [3], Mikuriya [3].

Chapter will start from a school lesson. Do you remember that swimming quest? Now it's time to swim during class. If you win you'll get Courage.

After that choose partner you want - you will go into dungeon with this same party, so choose one you like to go with. Actually, I'd recommend Asuka. Go to Yanagi Sports. Chose "The wind cut through everything" for Wisdom. Then run to Houraichou and to the yakuza headquaters. Nothing else to do here aside following the story (and visit shops if you need it).

Cave of Divine Flame
Automatucally gain Eiji Gotou [3]. And about dungeon... There is new kind of trap - classic run-from-the-boulder one. Boss - E=Crimson Weak to Spirit so gear up for that. His main attacks are projectiles which are easy to dodge. He also apply 'Burn', so wear something with immunity to it. But at some point it will start long charge and then put all area on fire. It deals a lot of damage and tend to kill most of characters if you won't manage to dodge at least one of this attack hits. You can stop charge if you deal a lot of damage during charge time, so save your special strikes for this time. EX-Strike of Asuka as usual is very helpful to stop cast.

7/07 Day 2 Free Time

X.R.C. Interview Client: Hekiru Reward: 600 Gems, Hekiru [3] Hekiru is waiting in Clubhouse this time. Talk to her to start quest. you need to answer her questions. If you answer correctly you'll get bonus to Wisdom. Answers are following: - Late April - Ayumi - Pill - Witch of the Misty Castle - Room 107 - A woman's voice can be heard

In Search Of... Client: Takeuchi Reward: 700 Gems, 3x Spirit Stone, Takeuchi [3], Airi [2] Talk with Takeuchi in Memorial Park to accept quest. Go to Station Square and talk with Sergeant Takahashi. Then ask Kenichi in Books ORION. Next is Nemoto and Yaeko at Brick Alley. Then catch Morimiya Resident walking around. But talking isn't enough. You need to check Scarlet Labyrinth. It's the one where you learned to use Mitsuki's barrier to run through poisonous clouds, so take her with you.

Treasure Beyond Time Client: Old Woman Mitsu Reward: 700 Gems, Horn Charm, Grandma Mitsu [2] Grandma Mitsu is sitting down the stairs at the Station Square. It's a riddle-full quest, so if you want to try it yourself - go for it. Visit Kokonoe Shrine and check ema charms. Then go to the Candy Store on Shopping Street. Check the tree near entrance of the Grove.

Summer Shilling. Let's PR! Client: Morimiya City Hall Reward: 700 Gems, 5000 yen, Haruna [2] Dunno about you, but I think this quest fun. You start it in the Enrance area of Acros Tower. To get Wisdom at the end choose these answers: - 'Tis I, Morimaru, has ARRIVED! - Down it right there - Draw his sword and posture

There is Free dungeon on 3rd floor of the Main School Building:
Golden Dusk Ruins
Here is a puzzle with bridges. Bridges divided by colour - they are either grey, blue or green. Grey are lowered by each own switch. Blue and green ones are lowered by hitting blue and green switches at the center. But there is a catch: if you put down green bridges, blue bridges will go up and vise versa. So you will need to switch them a lot to clear your way.

For those who is NG+ there is another one:
[NG+] The Temple of the Boundary
Visit Brick Alley to find it. It looks actually a lot like dungeons you were already in with main quirck being switch to move bridge between three paths.

Don't forget to do a hidden quest:

Different Strokes Client: Kou Reward: 600 Gems Talk with Saki on the Roof to get Pool's Key. Then go to the Pool. Choose those guys you need additional Soul Points for as you'll get +50SP. If you win you'll get bonus Courage too.

Visit Kou's Room to place all items. You should see an event with Rion and Shiori and get Magical Alisa [4] for this. You will also get a trophy for fully staffed room.

Affection shards. You will have up to 5 shards and 8 friends to spend time with. Also, this time episodes are important. You'd get Message cards from people you spent time with. These cards will allow to see additional scenes later.
  • Towa - Clubhouse
  • Asuka - Brick Alley. Asuka [4]
  • Yuuki - Star Camera - Station Square. Yuuki's Father [2]
  • Sora - Shopping Street. Sora [4]. Talk with Hitomi after that to get Hitomi [4]
  • Jun - Nanahoshi Mall 1F. Jun [3] and Demon Prince Rean [2]
  • Shio - Houraichou
  • Mitsuki - Memorial Park. Mitsuki [5]
  • Rion - Acros Tower

After finishing all go to Memorial Park and talk with boat rental guy. Talk with people marked with red exclamation marks. Choose answers to get Wisdom: "Froze from another point" and "North shore, where the old lady was". Go past old lady to the chained part.

Garden of Frozen Trees
You will be forced to use Kou, Sora and Mitsuki for this dungeon. New thing here to watch out is ice-covered floor. Boos - E=Calcius This boss is similiar to previous one. Just weak to Steel. Still, easy to dodge. Don't forget to stop charge by dealing a lot of damage or roll during detonation.
Chapter 7 -Hollow Quake- (continue)
7/08 Day 3
Be free to choose anyone. I'd recommend Mitsuki.
After gaining control over Kou visit library and talk with librarian. She will reward you for collecting Books with rare element. Talk with Ayumi (Annex 1F) to get free pies. Who doesn't want free pies?^^ And chat with Haruhito (Main Building 1F) to get Haruhito [3].

Go to Houraichou. Before following the story talk with Itsuki [3]. Follow the story to apartment. Check everything in it if you want, but you actually need only to look on shelves and on photo near bed. Then mark answers "How the "distance is fixed"" and "The circles on the map". Choose 'Station Square' on the map (it's in the middle with red arc). You will automatically get Futaba [1].

Friend notes:
  • Morimaru [2] - Acros Tower
  • Tamaki [3] - Brick Alley

Butcher will give you 3x Beefy Croquette.

It's your last chance to improve your gear before you'd get into dungeons.
I'd recommend to check Spiritual Beast Charm and Platinum Ring in Pawn Shop. You can only get one Charm per walkthrough as one of components can be gotten only in quest, others are bought in Kokonoe Shrine, but Rings are limited only by your yen - all three irems for them are sold in Jewelry shop in Nanahoshi Mall.
Among elements Ice Sword III and Lighting Sword III will help to clear dungeons easier. Absolute Defense and Mirage are good for defence and dodge.

As you're ready go to the Station Square and down the stairs. Find the maintenance door to see more events.

Purgatory of Molten Blood
Boss - Jormungard This boss is easy and boring. It hides under ground most of the time. Go over ground for couple of strikes and hides again under the ground and... that's all. You will run from it, strike it once or twice and run again. Dark purple spot on the ground indicate where Jormungard is hiding and where it will appear.

You will automatically get notes for Armored Soldier [2] and Gorou [4].

Fortress of False Gods
Here you need to divide everyone on two teams. You will play for both teams in order, so don't just drop guys in second team and don't care. The rules are such: both Kou and Gotou in one team, Asuka and Mitsuki should be in different ones. Don't forget to change Master Cores to match Greeds here. Maps for "First" refer to Kou's and Gorou's Team A, Maps for "Last" are for Team B. On the way you will be switched between teams and automatically give you Futaba [1]. Boss - Breed of Dawn I'd recommend to take Mitsuki, Asuka or Yuuki for this fight. Fight will start slow. Boss will use only paw strikes and bad breath attacks, which are very easy to dodge. But your attacks won't hurt its hp at the beginning because it has armor. Armor should be broken on different body parts separatedly to be able to hurt its health by attacking exposed body part. Armor is weak to Steel. Around 60-70% health battle will get real. Breed will stand up and add new attacks to the list - three paddles on the range and jump in the center. Its most weak points are chest and head, but they will be hard to reach while it stands. Through mage-type characters like Asuka and Mitsuki have no trouble with it. Others can try to hit its legs to make it fall. To avoid its slash/paddles it may be good idea to stand as close to the arena border as possible - attack won't reach you there. Around 30% it will become more agressive and also start to change color. Color will be changed pretty fast, it represent current element of the boss. Depending on it it will be weak to one of elements, so you'd want to switch characters. It also starts to use wider breath attack and 'Hollow Quake' attack. Mitsuki's barrier or dodge can save you against hollow quake.
Final Chapter -Endless Night-
7/08 Morimiya Eclipse
You will automatically get Sousuke [4].

Talk with Sanae to get Sanae [3] and then leave the area. The only place to move is Shopping Street, so let's go there. You'll get straight in the fight. The big guy will look like first boss and basically it has same attack pattern. It is not too scary, but because arena is small dodging will be more difficult than usual.

Armor of Righterous Client: Mayu Reward: 800 Gems, best armor for girls or boys, Mayu [4], access to best footwear crafting Talk with Mayu to get this hidden quest. She will ask you for 'Golden Element'. It could be received later in the Eclipses of this chapter. Quest will give you the best armor in game, but this armor is gender-specific.

Buy new Fire Master Core Hauteclaire and present for Shio Japanese Cutlery from Mayu. There is also pretty nice new elements to combine if you have materials for them. Yanagi has new equipment which is better than your current (if you have money for it... if not, it's not that much better. Save yen for cores and potions/meal) and present for Gorou Sports Band. Talk with Shinsuke [3]. You can buy new Secret Recipe - Cutlet Bowl in Soba Reastaurant.

Move to Brick Alley. Enemies here are weak to Spirit and Wind. And moving around even more cringy than on Shopping Street.

Here talk with Old Man Yamaoka [4] and Yukino [4]. You can buy Mitsuki's present R-Type Music Box from Yukino and Rion's Bejeweled Earphones from Boutique.

After finishing everything, go to Memorial Park. Greeds here are weak to Spirit and Steel. After dealing with them it's time to visit first pillar.

Pillar of [Darkness]
If you thought you know how slippery dungeon can be after ice one, well, now you will know that slippery actually mean. I can only recommend to use dodge roll to move around. Mid-Bosses They're actually second and third chapter bosses, but together... Dunno about you, but unleasing all specials on them is the best way to deal with them. They will be fast dead after that. Don't forget to change gear on new party members as they left all that they weared to you at the beginning of the chapter and now they have some generic one on. Second map has a pretty bad jumping challenge. And it's slippery! But there is a bit of trick - choosing someone less agile may help. Boss - Galon Guardian This boss uses several types of projectile attacks, nothing you haven't seen. The thing you need to watch out here are floor in spiked ice - you'd get damage if you step on it, so don't go too close to arena wall. Twice during fight boss will crush part of floor and cover it in ice (slippery kind, not spiky), this way it intends to make area around him where you can stand your ground less. It's up to you to try ice skating to give yourself more window to dodge and move or don't risk it.
After the dungeon you can go to school without wasting time. You automatically get White Shroud [3] and Jun [4]. Talk with your teacher Tanabe on 1st floor to get Master Core Gjallarhorn and a bit of Virtue because your big friend list (it's ok if it's not full). Get Ayumi [3] in Clubhouse.
Now is time to move further. Nanahoshi Mall will give you Tetsuo [4] and Togashi [3] just for getting there. There is Cigarette Case for Gorou in Military Store and Moe Coooking - Parfeit in Animate. Also talk with Saburo [4].
Next is Acros Tower. It's just a quick look around before going to Station Square. You will be welcomed by Fire and Spirit-weak Greeds. Star Camera has Master Core Mercurius to buy and new nice elements... which will cost you arm and leg^^"

Pillar of [Eternity]
Instead of slippery floor here you will find whindwhoorls which help you jump higher. also a lot of Greeds will have mag-res here. Mid-bosses here are three (!) Angel-bosses from before. Unleash your special strikes and just go forward. On second map in case you have trouble with aero-jumps note: wind send you 1 jump higher than windwhoorl and while in air you have chance to jump once. To get to the other side you need double jump and gliding. So move fast. Boss - Seediq Guardian This battle is similiar to the previous one. 2 Wind-weak summons and again puddles to avoid and ranged attacks to dodge. But this time you have Mitsuki's barrier.

I'll automatically get Kyouka [3]. Now you need to walk around and collect notes and buy things:
  • Nobuo [3] - Annex Building 1F
  • Erika [3] - Main Building 3F
  • Mountains of Japan - Books ORION - Station Square
  • Ryouta [4] - Shopping Street
  • You can complete Myu's quest now to get the best armor from her. After this you can get more armor and matching footwear from 'Combine' menu at Blacksmith. You will need 2 Golden Elements for armor and 1 for boots. During Final Chapter you'll get only one more Element. Re-running dungeons won't give you more.

For the story visit Books ORION and talk with Kenichi. You can also visit Acros Tower. As you're ready move to Houraichou. You can get into Cafe Bar to get 5 Sangrias from Itsuki. Arcade Crane has BIG Noi Plush in line-up from now on. It's last one for collection. You can turn them right away to Saki, Main Building 2F. She will give you Element and Saki [4]. After finishing all visits go to the next dungeon.

Pillar of [Refinement]
Theme of this dungeon is fire so there will be a lot of pulls of magma on the floor which you'd prefer to avoid. Greeds will also try to Burn or Freeze you. Also, this time Greeds will tend to stay in groups of different types instead as their usual same-element groups. At the middle of the dungeon you will meet three previous bosses - elements and Jurmungard. As earlier - just rally your special attacks to deal with them. Automatically get Akihiro [4] and Eiji Gotou [4] after that. Boss - Azure Guardian Same as previous two, but dodging is harder as it chip floor more agressively. Also stepping in magma will give you Burn. Better to have accessories against it.
Final Chapter -Endless Night- Final Battle
Now is time for bonding trophies. You know, night before last battle is the best time to deal with your bonds... or so every video game thinks. But good news you can see all "last" friendship episodes as long as you have message card with the person. You will get a corresponding trophy for each of these events.

Friend notes:

  • Sadie will read your fortune with Gorou
  • Visit Gorou's apartment to get 'Keepsake Photo'.

There are also several quests to do. They are all hidden as NiAR not working as it should...

Fantastical Foraging Client: Aoi Reward: 800 Gems, 3x Sumo Stew, Aoi [4], all special bars filled to the max Talk with Aoi in school cafeteria. You need 5 of each: mead, ambrosia, solar eggs, lunar mutton. If you don't have them you can get them from Pawn shop or running some Eclipses.

SPiKA-boo! Client: Manager Reward: 800 Gems You will find depressed Man in the middle of the Nanahoshi Mall 1F to get quest. Then ask guys in Houraichou to hear about Underpass. Talk with Nurse in Memorial Park to hear about hospital. Go to Underpass and after short fight you'd get Akira [3]. Same for Hospital for Wakabe [3]. Next stop is Abandoned Factory for Haruna [3].

Cure for what Ails Client: Kasumi Reward: 800 Gems, 3x Sweet Bean Cider, Kasumi [3], Shino [2], Mizuhara [4] Talk with hostess in Arcade to start quest. Then visit Pawn Shop for first ingredient and go to Nanahoshi Mall to talk with Sadie to get second one. And... quest completed!

There is new location available - Residential Area. Visit it and Kou's Room for additional scenes. It will rise your Wisdom, Courage and Virtue too.
Actually, you should have them maxed out now. If your Courage is still not high enough, clear some dungeons. It should be maxed if you have around half of them with S, no need to have S in all dungeons. Report to Grandpa to get the best shoes for Wisdom, accessory for Virtue and armor for Courage. He will also give you Master Core Ginnungagap if you maxed all stats. This is the last Master Core for your collection.

After you do everything you can move to the 'Pandora'.

Box
You will automatically get Chicaki [4]. First of all you will need to divide everyone in teams of two. Kou is fixed for D-Team. Others you can place as you wish. Team A - Road of Interstice Spirit and Wind team. Even if there are maps for the dungeon in this guide - they won't help you much, because here is a lot of backtracking and porting. You will meet two powerful Greeds which will play mid-boss part. They are similiar with main attacks being flamethrower and arm clash. Both are weak to Wind. Second time it'll be on boss arena-like and there will be two summons weak to Spirit to deal first. Team B - Road of Division Shadow and Fire team. You will meet similiar mid-boss here. It will be weak to Fire. Second time you meet it it'll be on boss arena-like and there will be two summons weak to Shadow with anti-magic shiuelds to deal first. Team C - Road of Infinity/Rebirth Wind and Steel team with Shadow and Spirit-weak Greeds too. Mid-bosses will be Steel-weak. When you meet it on the area - start moving as fast as you can because two 'summons' can kill both characters during their one attack if manage to catch you. Team D - Road of Rebirth/Infinity Why the double name similiar to previous one? Translation issues. Fire and Shadow team with a lot of Greeds week to Spirit too. Mid-bosses are Spirit-weak. There is a little trick to get to all chests - you need to fall off from second jumping platforms (look down first to be sure it's the place) in the sky to get to the switch and one more portal. Final Corridor You'll get Rem [3]. Mid-bosses here are Shadow-weak. Before boss-fight you can use relic. This relic sells most of powerful elements from shops, let you combine them, buy food and upgrade soul device. Use it if you need. You can use food to restore specials. All your party members will participate in battle. You can level them using teleports via relics if you feel you need it. Throne of Capricious Fate You start with party of three who is at the bottom of party list. At some points boss will put cage-like thingy around you - you can switch character when you're inside, but can't do anything else. This character will be removed from battle and another one will join. Kou will join the last. After he's in battle boss will stop sealing characters. Even if it's final boss its first form isn't hard. Main attacks - arm slash and tail hit (there is aoe which goes from place of the hit). It also constantly switches its element and has specific attack for each: while being in Steel - rash forward, Spirit - circle of icicles aroud (run from boss directly to camera to easily avoid), Wind - storm of lightings (just dodge), Fire - circle of rotaring flames. It has a lot of hp, so you will be dancing with it pretty long. Second form also not so hard. Attack it will use - calling tornados near it, putting circles around itself, sending projectiles. If you fight from the distance you will be out of range for most of them, so even no need to dodge. The most deadly attack - series of charges, each precisely targeting you. Best advice to avoid it is "do a barrel roll" ^^" It's actually working here. Around 50% it will put a barrier and call four stones around. You need to kill stones to be able to do damage to boss. At the same time boss attacks will become more aggressive. It'll be six tornadoes instead of four, six charges instead of three, etc.. Boss will put barrier again around 10%. X-Strike should be able to kill stones at once.
Epilogue -A Legend is Born-
7/24 Last Day Before Holidays
First time you will see just scenes for the normal ending. If you got 8 stars in Kou's special stats then you can unlock way to True end. To start the real Epilogue load clear save data and choose to replay epilogue. After all the same scenes you will be given option to use affinity shard. Use it to start your way to True end.

After getting to Epilogue you'll get Rem [4], Kou [4] and Shiori [4].

There a lot of things to do now. To proceed with story - follow the red exclamation marks. But of course more interesting are things you need to find.

Ten Years Gone Client: Manami Reward: 1000 gem, White Key, Kanji [3] Take this quest after talking with Manami on Shopping Street. Check Station Square down of stairs. There will be Old Man to talk to. Talk to the family in Sky Lounge. Talk again and choose: - How has it been, after so long? - You left because of your dad? - You need to talk to your folks

The Show Must Go On! Client: City Hall Reward: 1000 gems, Osamu [3], Mikuriya [4] Find City Hall Worker near stage in Memorial Park and talk with him. Visit Acros Tower to get into Theater. You need to find three people: Takahiro on Shopping Street (Takahiro [3]), Urara at the Entrance of Acros Tower (Urara [3]) and Osamu on Station Square. After that, return to Memorial Park

International Girl of Mystery Client: Sakaki Reward: 1000 gems, Sakaki [3] Talk with photographer at Brick Alley. He's in the alley behind buildings. Visit Antique Store to talk with Yukino. Next hit Sousuke in Kokonoe dojo and Sadie at her place in Nanahoshi Mall (Sadie [3]). Go to the Grove in Memorial Park.

There are free dungeons in this chapter. You will get White Key for clearing them and you can find a Golden Element in each. First free dungeon is in Acros Tower. You need to go up to new available floor - Acros Theater and find it there:
Palace of Light
As in all dungeons of this epilogue you will meet a lot of traps. Here are energy pulasers from walls and filled with needles wooden bars you have already met in earlier dungeons.

Another free dungeon is in Memorial Park:
The Castle of the Holy Chalice
A lot of hanging axes will be on your way, making you time your steps.

If you talk with timetable down the stairs at the Station Square you will get option to travel to Kamiyama Hot Springs. Go there and check Garden to find Free dungeon.
Cave of Ancient Gods
This Eclipse is slippery and make you jump between slippery things, but overall it's just a free dungeon which give you a White Key.

Take a dip in Hot Springs to get all your special bars filled (they will be available if you completed quest and cured illness in the Final Chapter). The last key is in Kokonoe Shrine. Simply talk with Sanae and it's yours.

In NG+ there is one more Free Dungeon to check:
[NG+]The Pillar of [Oblivion]
It is in clubroom of X.R.C., Annex Building 2F. Dungeon is full with disk-looking enemies, so it'll be tough. If you thought before that Free dungeons are easy because there is no boss at the end this dungeon will make you think otherwise. At the end of the dungeon you will meet in Warning room copy of the Chapter 6 boss - seraph with spiked floor, flying high above and summoning couples of disks from time to time. You will get Armageddon Crest accessory for clearing it. It gives nice bonuses to damage.

Visit all shops you need and prepare to visit the last boss of original Tokyo Xanadu.

Sanctuary of Eternity
There is no dungeon here, only boss. It's similiar with the one from intermission, but a bit more angry. It will change element in battle and lose tails too. And there is full arena of tasty strawberries. Basic attacks: paw stomp, paw clash, laser, rash in you and power jump (I'm sure after all previous bosses you can guess them by these nicknames ^.~) It will also have big AoE which changes depending on its current element. Usually there are pretty huge holes to stand and don't be hit. After hitting 50% boss will become more agressive and use one additional attack: it will move in the center of the area and use short charge to call area-wide AoE which has three strikes with enough damage to kill nearly anyone. You can stop attack with Asuka's EX-Strike or you can do three barrel rolls and dodge. If character has Chaos Mirage equipped it will help A LOT.
After Story -Now and Forever-
AfterStory was added to the ex+ version of the game and wasn't present in original Vita game. You can start it after saving at the end of True End and then choosing in Main Menu - Extras - After Story.

10/30
Even if it's After Story you're not free from getting friend notes and poking around. You will also get five quests after trying to leave the school and you need to finish at least three of them to continue with the story.

Friend notes:

  • Cooking Quest - Paella - Books ORION
  • 17 Recipe - Coffee Jelly - Cafe -Coffee Shop 17-
  • You can get Somas at Pawn Shop now, but save those stones for now.

So there are five quests. You need to clear at least three of them. Also every time you can call one of your companions for help. You will be able to spend Festival later only with those who you called during these quests... not like it really matters.

A Season of Selling [#] Client: Azusa Reward: 1200 gem, 2x autumn Festival Set, 2x Autumn Fest Cookie, Azusa [3] Talk with her near Star Camera on Station Square to start the quest. You will be promted to call a friend for help. You need to find kids without balloons. Just don't forget bus stop and check all shops to find everyone.

A Great Pumpkin...s... [#] Client: Mr. Yanagi Reward: 1200 gem, Mr. Yanagi [3], 2x Jack-o-Lantern He's at his shop on Shopping Street. Talk with him and call a friend. You need to visit other shops on the street to get staff - blacksmith, grocery and candy store. Get back to Yanagi's to finish quest.

I Sing the Brew Fest Electric![#] Client: Mr.Hama Reward: 1200 gem, Mr.Hama [3], Brew Fest Coaster Visit Cafe Bar -N- to start the quest. You can call one of the friends to help you here. Look at the mini-map to find spots where you will need to place posters. After you put them all return to Cafe.

Nice Boat![#] Client: Iijima Reward: 1200 gem Talk with the guy in Memorial Park, choose a partner and... done.

Dance for Me, Morimaru! Dance![#] Client: Staff Reward: 1200 gem, 2x Biting Wolf Set, Morimaru [4] Go to Nanahoshi Mall and talk with Staff to get started. Choose: "Right, Left, Pose" and then "Left, Right, Pose". Next "Right, Right, Left, Right, Pose" and "9 times". As always you will get Wisdom if you answer correctly (but do you need it?..)

After completing three or all five quests you need to go to Yukino in Antique Shop. But first get a detour and buy two more gear sets for companions. You will need them a bit later. Talking with Yukino will move the story, so finish everything else before.

You will get Fox-Masked Boy [1] after the events. Check Star Camera and Sakura Pharmacy. Try to leave Station square to get access to Acros Tower. Follow there.

Boundary of Exhaustion
You will get Ryota [5]. Don't forget to gear up your new companions. In case you have troubles with dungeon note this: Shroud is powerful against everything aside Shadow, but he doesn't receive reduced damage as with "proper" element, i.e. Ryota and Kou will be dished less damage. Ryota is weak, no doubt about it, but his aerial attack still deliver decent damage. If you have trouble jumping platforms equip smth with immunity to Burn and don't worry about falling. In worst case you can simply run to the other side or to the place where the last platform should appear and jump on it from magma saving time but getting hurt. Boss - Avalon Drozer So here are his attacks: rashing into you (horse will tap its leg several times before it), sending projectiles, setting circle red traps around you (rolling forward usually get you out of them), summoning several horses which will all charge into you (usually stepping back put you out of zone) and around 50% there will be new attack - series of big circles straight before it. It's fast, so try to get out of zone.

After dungeon you will get Jun [5] and Ryouta [5]. Don't hurry to leave and look around for shiny objects. That's Affaction Shards and you need to collect them. There is two at the Acros Tower and one at the Bus Stop. You need to use them on crystals to wake people up and get access to shops and... friend notes!^^

Use Shard in Star camera and talk with Tsubasa [3]. You can also wake Mizuhara in Sakura Pharmacy.

Moving to Shopping Street - there is a shard in Soba Restaurant and crystals at Blacksmith to wake up. Blacksmith will have new accessories in store but they need Golden Elements. You can also wake Chizuru from the crystal in Grocery shop. There will be entrance to the dungeon in Yanagi Sports.

Viridian Path
You will get Towa [5] after entering. This dungeon is short and with no boss fight at the end.

You can ask Chizuru to take care about cat after it.

Next stop is Nanahoshi Mall. There is a shard in military store and crystals at Tetsuo's. Karen will be ready to sell all cooking ingredients to you. On second floor take shard in toy store and find crystal in Sadie's. Sadie will take the shop from Pawn Shop with addition of availability to get Golden Fragments. You need 3 Golden Fragments to make Golden Element in Blacksmith... but a bit later you will be able to buy them, so you can think about saving crystals if you have yen.

After that go to Server room for the next dungeon.

Amber Waterway
It's really a waterway and there is running water in the middle of all corridor which will give 'Burden' and dot you while you're standing in it.

After the scene go out of the room. When asked to point out choose Brick Alley and go there.

Take shards in Gallery and lying at back alley. You cannot use them at this point, so just follow to the Rion's house and enter the dungeon.

Frost Demon Path
It's really a waterway and there is running water in the middle of all corridor which will give 'Burden' and dot you while you're standing in it. No chests or side paths so you really don't need a map.

You will get Futaba [3] and Gorou [5]. You also can wake crystals in Boutique and Cafe. Yukino in Antique Shop will sell you Golden Fragments after that for 10k yen each. Kaoru in Boutique has a reward for full Friend notes (so it's available only in NG+). It's the best accessory in game - Rainbow Crown (+77% crit chance, prevents all statuses, +77 to ATK/MATK/DEF/MDEF).

Nothing stops you now from getting best equipment you can afford from Blacksmith. So gear up and go to S.D.F. Base.
After Story -Now and Forever- (continue)
Boundary of Tears
This time it's a proper dungeon with poisonous water, platforms to jump and whirlpools to ride. And boss at the end. Boss - Ix Zorva You've met similiar boss before. Its main attack is projective orbs (this time it has more of them). It like to use two rashes in a row. Uses all kinds of paw attacks. Watch out of him hitting the ground with an arm and a earthquake going from the place of hit. You need either jump or roll. It will hit hard if you eat it. Another special attack start when it goes into the center of the arena and start charging. There will be three red circles on the ground which will grow fast. The safe zones are small near arena border, so move there asap.

After the dungeon you will get Fox-Masked Boy [2].

Talk with Karen (Nanahoshi Mall 1F) to get 2x Lunar Somas and Karen [4]. Kaoru (Boutique - Brick Alley) will give you 2x Elixir. Chizuru (Yanagi's Sports) will handle 2x Solar Soma, Chizuru's Charm and Chizuru [4]. Charm is Ryouta-specific accessory. Tsubasa at Station Square will give you 3x Star Soma. Mizuhara will share 3x Glorious OMEGA and 3x Giganamin W. Dunno about you, but seeing a lot of powerful potions make me expect something fishy soon...

You can also visit "Boundary of..." dungeons to get money, golden fragments and twilight stones and dress all your characters in the best gear you can craft. At this point you most likely also need stones for the final upgrades of your weapon. Clear dungeons to get them or... you can always fail cooking to "buy" them (use sad bubble persons as they have best chance to result cooking in stones).

One more thing to do is level up. You can eat meal for this or go into dungeons. Up to you if you need it or want it.

As everyone now is in party you can finish that cooking book achivement too. You will get it as soon as you fill out outcomes for S, A and F on every recipe page. Each recipe has 4 possible outcomes with R being normal one. Each character can be good or bad with each recipe which can be seen by their bubbles. If character with sad bubble he or she will most likely get some crystal or stone - result A. Use characters with neitral expression to get result F - they're more likely to get normal dish, but they also fail pretty often to give you poisonous-looking F. Result S goes for masterpiece version of the recipe. Only one character in your team can prepare it. You need to make characters with happy bubbles try to make it. After character make it once his or her bubble will get a crown. You will get achivement as soon as you fill all strings in all recipes... And you can simply stack meals for your next walkthrough.

Once you're ready it's time to tackle the last dungeon. This is realy THE last dungeon and boss in it will be serious one. Be sure you're ready. Also it's the last time you can freely visit shops. You will be able to revisit dungeons after defeating last boss as much as you want, but you won't be able to get into the shops until new walkthrough.

Boundary of Death
This will be the real long dungeon with some tanky Greeds to kill you if you won't look around. On second map there is a big jumping challenge with disappearing platforms. It worth falling from the top just to see what characters say... but if you're not good with timed jumps you can fall a lot on the last part of it. Keep trying! Or... just remember lowing difficulty and starting dungeon from the beginning will make jumps easier. Before the boss you have last chance to upgrade your party at the relic. Battle will be 'All-Out Attack', so everyone participating. You need to divide your characters on 4 teams. Also, battle will be long, so check if you have free time to finish it! Boss - ??? You start with Team A. Boss will mainly use very persistent orbs to follow you and random slashes. Orbs can be killed if you attack them. Or they can break after collapsing to the ground if you rolled away. But the worst here is ability to summon three elementals. They use AoE with different patterns and properties so boss will be your last problem if they're alive. Use X-Strike to deal with them as soon as they appear. Team B will start fight after boss hp hit 50%. It will use same pattern with a couple of new moves. It will start to teleport which as usual bad because you will lose lock on it and it will try to move into your blind zone. It will also start to do vacuum attack: screen turns into negative and you will be pulled to the boss. After short charge it detonate with visual growing sphere - use dodge when it will reach you to avoid damage. This team should beat it's hp to 0%. Next goes Team C. Boss won't send orbs or use vacuum anymore. But it will start attacking more aggressively with slashes and beam-like attacks. It will also use lighting AOE around itself (get from him if you see electricity) and icicle traps - it will put several icicles and if you step in them you'll eat some damage. Around 70% it begins to teleport again. And yes, it still summons elementals. Team D will get into battle after you put boss hp to 50% again. New attacks it will use will be lasers which leave a trace on the ground that will shortly detonate and whirlpool which will cover big part of the area leaving only a bit of space around boss. This whirlpool doesn't deal any damage, but move you around, not letting you to have a footing for combo or practiced moves, so you can step in it to avoid other boss attacks. Good tactic for this fight was suggested by Orlandeau993 here. Basically you use Elixirs to be constantly in state of X-Drive and try to land as many EX-Strikes as possible because of total immunity during its cast. For this you need to put teams of Wind+Steel. They get buffs for 1/2 damage (Steel) and x1.5 Strike points gain (Wind) with X-Drive active. Recommended elements: Shishiou (+50% X-Drive time); either Luminous (life steal) or Seiryuu's Scale (automatic healing), Genbu Shell (has a chance to completely block damage if you missed hit) and Chaos Mirage (bigger window for dodging).

Are you ready for the break? You can choose one of companions to go with you. There is also an option to go with both Asuka and Shiori. On your first walkthrough you can invite only friends you spent epilogue quests with, but you will be able to choose anyone in NG+. Character you choose will get a bit of additional dialogue at the end. You will also automatically get Fox-Masked Boy [3] and Kou [5]. And News update which will be the last Book for your collection. Talk with friends for the story and don't miss opportunity to talk with SPiKA members to get Akira [4] and Wakaba [4]. After that speak with people around until you will hear a bell.

This is your last chance to revisit dungeons in current walkthrough. You can farm Golden Elements and Stones in your first walkthrough to strengthen yourself for NG+. In NG+ I recommend to finish game to get Infinity (and Calamity if you go this way) trophies and then reload here, lower the difficulty to Easy and go for all dungeon-related trophies you have left as you wouldn't need to worry about difficulty and runs will be smooth and fast.

Find a small girl in the middle of the Street. Be sure you're ready to finish game before talking with her. Save, talk and... Congratulations! You've cleared the game!
New Game+
You cleared game once so now you can go for it again with a bit of bonuses! If you try to load your After Story clear data you will see this screen:

Actually each string here was supposed to have price in points. In earlier games you got 5 points for every time you clear the game allowing you to choose more things next time, but... in the recent Falcom games like this you can choose everything for free after clearing game once!^^

If you go for trophies check which trophies you're missing before starting new run. It will give you a nice idea which things you can ignore. Especially check battle trophies. They usually don't need additional work, but you still can miss some like use of some moves or kill bonuses if you're good without them. Also, note which bond trophies you're missing and friend notes you haven't filled.

There is also two unexpected trophies which can be gotten only in NG+: collecting all chests and clearing all dungeons with S. Your data on open chests and dungeon grade will be carried on, but there are 5 additional dungeons available only in NG+, so you will get these two trophies after clearing them. If you don't get chest trophy after clearing last additional dungeon check Battle info for all dungeons. Check for 100% Treasure there and run dungeons which have less.

Thanks for reading until the end and good luck in game!

HI IcyViking! Yes, it does. Well, technically it's up to you. As you can see on the last screenshot of this guide you can choose which info you want to carry over and which you don't.

Hi Rev, amazing guide. Does Friend info carry over for NG+?
Eg. Asuka [1]

Thanks for the response! Have a good day!

Hello Lestaroth! Nope, they won't be marked.
Lestaroth 2023年9月16日 6時06分
Hello and thank you so much for the guide! It's super helpful, I recommend it to everyone owning the game. :MFF_Mog:

Now, I'd like to ask you something... Do the characters that we have spent time with on Free Time phases in a previous playthrough be marked so in a New Game +? If so, that would be very helpful as it's easy to lose track when not taking notes.

Be well and take care! :winter2019happyyul:

@Seba Jun, hey, thanks for noticing. I checked your message after I've first seen it a year ago and you're right there is a mistake, but I already have game uninstalled, so I left fix "until I install the game back".
Quint the Alligator Snapper 2022年9月6日 10時54分
@Rev thanks for the clarification.
Seba Jun 2022年9月6日 9時50分
@Rev, hey I saw a little mistake 1 year ago and I think you didn't saw it, it was on the frost path section. It isn't really big but I remember being confused about the thing, if I didn't passed something without checking for chest etc. My post is just 5 messages after this one!
Rev  [作成者] 2022年9月6日 9時23分
@Quint the Alligator Snapper, as guide says you need NG+ for them. Actually I was sure you wouldn't get Shiori and Gorou on your first walkthrough too. Looks like they are working, but Ryota is still predictably can't work on your first run.
