For years in the fog, Ace tried to have a positive outlook on the situation he was in. He needed to set an example for the other survivors so they wouldn't lose their hope. Slowly, bit by bit, something started eating Ace from the inside. This whole time, there had been something in his past that he now didn't seem to remember. Something, that cheered up himself and many others in the toughest of times. When Ace entered the fog, the Entity took something from him. Finally he remembered. The fingerguns which he had been blessed with since his birth. After realizing he was no longer capable of doing his blessed pew-pews, Ace lost hope. He felt empty. And that hole in his heart was something no other survivor could fix.
