This article is about Assassin's Creed II outfits.
In Assassin's Creed II, the Assassin Ezio Auditore is able to obtain four outfits. These outfits are simply capes with different colors and, for most of them, a different emblem representing a city or family during the Renaissance. It is also possible to obtain two bonus outfits...

Capes
Plain Cape

Description: The Plain Cape is purely cosmetic, and does not affect Ezio in any way. Wearing it, guards will react to you normally and your notoriety will be affected normally.

Color: Brown with crimson inside.

Obtained by: Retrieving Giovanni Auditore's Assassin Outfit in the mission "Family Heirloom."

Medici Cape

Description: While wearing the Medici Cape in Florence or Tuscany, your notoriety will remain at zero. However, the guards will still react to criminal behavior.

Color: Red with a strip of yellow, a much slimmer line of red at the bottom, and black on the inside. The symbol of the Medici family is also emblazoned at the midpoint of the cape.

Obtained by: Having Ezio speak to Lorenzo de' Medici at the beginning of Sequence 6.

Venetian Cape

Description: While wearing the Venetian Cape in Romagna or Venice, your notoriety will remain at zero. However, the guards will still react to criminal behavior.

Color: Blue, with the addition of a black strip on the bottom, and golden on the inside. The symbol of the city of Venice is placed at the midpoint of the cape.

Obtained by: Having Ezio attend his initiation into the Assassin Order at the end of Sequence 11.

Auditore Cape

Description: While wearing this cape outside of Monteriggioni, you are automatically Notorious, and lowering your notoriety becomes impossible (though, heralds will not mention you in their announcements). When you remove the cape, your notoriety returns to its previous level.

Color: Black, with crimson on the inside, and the Auditore family symbol at the midpoint of the cape.

Obtained by: Collecting and Depositing all 100 feathers scattered throughout Renaissance Italy.

Achievement/Trophy: "Show Your Colors." You must wear the Auditore Cape in every city (with the exception of Rome), and the Mountains region.
General Appearance
Altaïr's Robes

Description: Accesses Altaïr's skin from the Animus databases, though will not affect Ezio's current equipment, armor settings or the abilities of the cape he was previously wearing. The armor actually loads the model of Altaïr, rather than just his clothing, as is visible from color of his eyes, which are lighter than Ezio's, as well as his amputated ring finger. Also the player is silent when taunting enemies. In certain cutscenes, Ezio's armor replaces the robes.

Color: Altaïr's robes from Assassin's Creed.

Obtained by: Claiming the Ubisoft Uplay award (30 points) on Uplay Win.

Bonus Skin

Description: N/A

Color: Black with red detailing; sleeves remain white unless Altaïr's armor is equipped.

Obtained by: Entering a code obtained after buying the Assassin's Creed II 3D mobile game from the Verizon App Store (Bonus Skin also included in Game of the Year edition and Digital Deluxe Edition).

Trivia
  • Altaïr's Robes change Ezio's model to Altaïr's, the same seen in Desmond's hallucination sequence. The differences of the models are that the left ring finger is amputated, the right Hidden Blade does not have physical form on the character (despite being usable), and the beard that Ezio gains during the Battle of Forlì sequence is not present, during or after these sequences. Additionally, though Ezio's voice remains the same, he does not speak during taunts, instead only gesturing towards the opponent, similarly to Desmond's taunting motions in the credits scene.

  • There are several glitches while wearing Altaïr's Robes. If Ezio has no more throwing knives, the holders are still full of them. The scabbard for the knife on his back is also empty, and the animation for putting the knife away shows it being placed on the hip, by the sword, but it disappears once put away. The player can still use the dual Hidden Blades, but there is no blade visible on Altaïr's right hand. Unlike in the first Assassin's Creed game, there is no scabbard for Altaïr's sword; it simply hangs at his hip with the blade exposed. If wearing the robes of Altaïr when acquiring the Hidden Blade, instead of wearing Altaïr's robes, you will wear Ezio's, but after Leonardo gives him the blade, the robes will change into Altaïr's. Also, when Ezio receives his Assassin's mark, a glitch may occur, because Altaïr had his ring finger removed.

  • In Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (another Ubisoft game), you can buy Ezio's costume for 30 UPlay points and put it on the Prince himself.

  • The Medici Cape can be found in Monteriggioni's church by Desmond in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It is one of the artifacts.

  • The player is awarded the Auditore cape for fully renovating Rome in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Unlike in Assassin's Creed II, the cape allows Ezio to remain incognito, which functions the same as the Borgia Cape.

  • The Auditore cape is also worn by Mario Auditore throughout Assassin's Creed II.

  • The cape worn during the Carnevale bears markings similar to the Assassin insignia.

  • The Bonus Skin is currently the only outfit in the entire series that has not been released later as downloadable content.
