Natural Selection 2 - Damage Stats

This guide lists some of the health and damage statistics associated with Natural Selection 2. It describes the different types of damage and lists the effective health of players and structures versus the different damage types. Also included is a breakdown of various weapons and attacks and a list of how many hits are required from each to kill specific player types and structures.
(Note: This guide is a work in progress, I will be adding more weapons and lifeforms as time goes on.)

Damage Types
Light: Each point of armour absorbs 4 points of damage

Normal: Each point of armour absorbs 2 points of damage

Heavy: Each point of armour absorbs 1 point of damage

Puncture: Each point of armour absorbs 2 points of damage (does 100% extra damage to players)

Corrode: Each point of armour absorbs 1 point of damage (can only damage armour against players)

Included is both the new health of the structure along with the fully matured health. Structures health and armour increase gradualy as they mature.

Marine Weapon Damage
This section lists different weapon types and the amount of hits required from each to kill various lifeforms.

Note: When determining the number of hits to kill an Alien you need to factor in their natural health regen. Because of this, I have included decimal points in the tables.
In most cases you can just round up but if the number is exact or just under, chances are it will require an additional hit, depending on how long it takes to land those hits.

Meh. Outdated. The fade does light damage and not puncture damage. Belive that spikes and HMG is the only thing to do puncture damage now.

To kill the Fade you need to fire all 50 bullets without missing one. Or you need 3 shotgun shots. Now i understand why people tell me that shotgun is more effective against Fades.

Thanks for the info dude, i mainly read to see why i should even bother teching to armour 3, is there any advantage.... but jeeeeeeeeeeeesus people like to bitch and moan, nothing but complaints when this guys obviously spent alot of time on this... and again Thanks dude :)

Ok, I know this was a long time in the works but I have just updated this with Build 264 damage stats. Most of the Alien tables have become huge now due to the varying levels of Carapace and Bio-mass (which were added in Build 250) but I thought it better to include all data. I am still in the process of completing the damage tables for Marine weapons and these will be added over the next couple of weeks.

Update coming soon. Sorry for the delay but the Alien tables have had to be redone due to the now 12 levels of bio mass and 3 levels of carapace.
