Getting a Partner/Mate [OLD]

A guide so that people can have an easy list of how to "romance" the datable cats in the game! This is going to take a while to work on, and help will be appreciated!

Introduction

Welcome to the guide! Please know, that at this time, this is a WIP guide and isn't finished at all by any means. However, I felt like I should start this up since there's currently no easy way to find this information.

The Basics

The #1 thing to do is work on increasing the friendship level with the cat you like! This can be done by giving them gifts they like and talking to them every day.


They'll be "datable" once they reach 5 stars, as shown above!

After a certain date [UNKNOWN ATM], Coco will appear and tell you where to find a Red Rose. Giving one to your partner-to-be will then put you in a relationship with them!

ALL cats love catnip! If you have some, I strongly reccomend giving it to your partner! It boosts the relationship a ton.

Forest Colony

The three datable cats in the Forest Coloney are: Scout, Missy, and Lyrus!

Marriage + Kittens

If you've finally gotten a cat to agree to be in a relationship with you, congratz! Now, onto the next step.

At first, in the corner of their dialogue, you'll see a heart. It should start off WHITE. As your relationship with them increased, it will change to BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, and then RED.

Once you reach a RED heart in the corner, you can marry them! To do this, you will need a Shiny Trinket. Giving it to them will let you finally marry them, and they'll move into your den!

Kittens

Now, about those lovely balls of fluff. In order to have kittens, there are two things that must be completed.
1. Get a mate
2. Have the nursery room added to your den
Once those have been done, eventually your mate will ask you if you'd be interested in having kittens. If you choose yes, then one to four tiny bundles of joy will arrive within 3 seasons!

If you want to make sure you have four kittens, make sure to give your mate LOTS of gifts as often as you can! It keeps them happy, which increases the likelyhood of 4 kittens!

Alisa is the only datable/marigeable leader in cattails, If you do marry her, the colony remains normal, just without a leader.

okay, here's the fastest way to get a mate, at least for me on my files.

1. give the chosen cat as many gifts as you can everyday. make sure the gifts are either loved or their favourite / catnip. sure, if you don't have access to either gifts, give them liked gifts.

2. talk to them everyday too, don't just stop by once a day and give them their gifts then be on your way. talking to them will also boost your friendship.

3. repeat steps 1 and 2 until the chosen cat is at 5 stars. now they're available to date!

4. wait until the 5th of autumn for Coco to come and inform you of the red rose. head over to the sacred temple and collect your rose. (NOTE: make sure to continue at least talking to the chosen cat while you wait for the 5th to maintain your relationship.)

5. give the rose to the chosen cat, they should accept.

6. there you go! you have a loyal mate now. make sure not to break their heart or start to ignore them :)
