Fun Fact: He is named after the Fighter Jet Pilot from Top Gun.

An Ace in the Freedom Fighters, he proven himself first hand as Eggman devastated Mobius with the majority falling under Infinite's Control. He's faced different challenges in combat against the Death Egg Pawns caused by the Phantom Ruby. He'll do whatever it takes to Free Mobius, dethrone Eggman & Return Classic Sonic to his own time in the past using an arsenal of Color Alien Wispons.
However, after meeting Classic Sonic, he finds out that 2 Sonics in one time has set off a Time Warp Paradox with the Past & Present Sonics in the same Time Period and if Eggman's Empire is not defeated, Mobius is not Freed & Classic Sonic is not returned to the Past in 3 Days, both the Past & Present Sonics will cease to exist.
After Classic Sonic returned to the Past to continue fighting Robotnik, Eggman trapped in Null Space & Iceman left the Freedom Fighters to seek Fortune & Glory as a Freedom Fighter Mercenary.
