Overview
Please note it’s impossible to get all the achievements in one playthrough! I’d recommend leaving the bulk of the achievements until your second playthrough when you have a better grasp of the house and characters. There will also be additional hints in the second playthrough which makes finding items and recipes way faster. I’d also recommend to save as often as possible so you don’t have to repeat sections too much if you die.

I have blacked out the answers to puzzles for those who want to do these by themselves.

There is also the ‘Save the World’ achievement for saving 50 times. This should be easy to achieve and they don’t have to all be in one playthrough.

After you've completed the main quest and achieved the true ending you can go to ‘Extra’ from the menu and take a look around the room. You can talk to all the characters and look at the bookshelves to see which sections you have unlocked. You can also enter the side room which will get you the 'Extra Extra' achievement.

Prologue
Prologue
Achievements - ‘Light the Darkness’ & ‘The Beginning’

Go to the tea party and meet all the witches - you will automatically have some information about Marilyn and Andrea. Follow the story. Before you leave the garden pick up the first two puzzle pieces. One is in the teacup in the top left corner, the second is in the middle lemon tree on the right hand side. Enter the house.

The house has been cursed by Renee. You will automatically learn the first piece of information about her. This part is quite linear. You need to find Vanessa, Mirabell and two parts of the toy key. Pick up the toy key blade from the second book in the maze and the bow by talking to the teddy bear in the room with the wardrobe. Combine these items to make a toy key. Make sure to speak to Mirabell to gain information about her. After you try to turn the key in the door it will break and bears will appear and question you. The answer is 1st floor.

Enter the main house. Go to your room, which is locked. You will have to find Cathy. Also use this time to start to explore the ground floor of the house. Go to the pantry where you can find squid (in the bucket) and a piece of the puzzle in the middle cabinet. Then return to the kitchen, speak to Polly who will tell you where to find Cathy. Pick up a puzzle piece from the tall chest of drawers and a potato from the basket. Go back into the hall and pick up a puzzle piece from the chest of drawers. Return to the lounge and you can pick up a puzzle piece from the left-hand bookcase. Enter the foyer and pick up a puzzle piece from the right-hand chest of drawers. Speak to Cathy to get your room key. After she has given you your key, speak to her again to get ‘The Broken Lamp’ side-quest. You can find the pieces in the cupboard under the stairs and the cabinet in the lounge. Take the parts back to Cathy. Afterwards go to your room to complete the Prologue.

Explore your room. Then head to Vanessa’s room where you can pick up a puzzle piece from the top of the right hand ladder. You should also look at the papers on Vanessa’s floor to find out information about her. Then speak to Vanessa to start the ‘Vanessa’s Paint’ quest. Pick up violet from the first floor plant, rose from the pantry and lemon from the garden.The lemon will also go in the inventory to be used in cooking. Once you’ve collected the ingredients speak to Cathy to unlock the potion room and pick up a puzzle piece from the clock in there. Then work on your potion - this is pretty simple - it doesn’t matter which options you choose. Then head back to Vanessa’s room. Before you take a nap be sure to speak to Vanessa to find out some information about her. You will then receive the painting, the first of your gifts. After this you should head downstairs to the dining room.

In the dining room you will receive the quest ‘Missing Renee’. It is important that you explore the house and complete any other quests before looking for Renee. Pick up a recipe from the left hand bookcase and a puzzle piece from the right hand bookcase in the dining room.

Then speak to Marilyn, who will give you the quest ‘Tomato Lover’. Once you’ve received this head to the kitchen and pick up the tomato from the tall cabinet near the baskets. You will now have the option to make some food in the kitchen. I tended to cook each new recipe as it became available - you can make 10 at this point (diced tomatoes, tomato juice, fried tomatoes, french fries, classic potato mash, jacket potato, lemon tea, lemon juice, lemon cookie & grilled squid). Cook all these recipes to gain ‘The Novice Chef’ achievement. Then take the juice back to Marilyn to complete the quest and gain the ‘Tomato Hater’ achievement. Marilyn will also give you two new recipes (passion tomato and potato/tomato compromise). I then headed back to the kitchen to make the new recipe (borscht).

You can then find Renee’s hat in the first floor stairwell. After you pick this up head to the attic room to pick up a puzzle piece from the purple plant. After this head back to the stairwell and investigate the teddy bears. Choose to put the bears away and you will find Renee. Mirabell will faint (this will update her profile) and Evangeline will appear - it doesn’t matter how you answer her.

After this you will be taken to the dining room. You will need to speak to all the characters. When you talk to Evangeline explain that you know she is not guilty using the Alibi note. Afterwards head to Stephanie’s room and fully question her. You won’t be able to explore her room properly yet. You can also choose to check on Renee during this time, but there’s nothing to pick up here. Once you’ve spoken to everyone head to the lounge for the big reveal.

SAVE BEFORE YOU DO THIS! Firstly follow the questioning until it gives you the option to accuse yourself (Charlotte). This will give you Dead End 1 which is an essential element of the ‘Game Over’ achievement. You will then need to restart. Then retry and give four wrong answers (Guilty x 4). This will give you the Bad End 1 (Sleep) which is an essential element of the ‘If…’ achievement. You will then need to restart to follow through the proper answers. Answer the questions in the order ‘Not Guilty’, ‘None of the Above’, ‘Stephanie’, ‘Mirabell thought Renee was dead’, ‘Stephanie’s room’, ‘Not a guest’, ‘Young’ and ‘The reason is Order’. By doing this you will also gain the first bit of information about Stephanie.

After this the story will progress through to the end of the first chapter.

Renee will want to have a slumber party - you will need to convince Vanessa by using her gift. Then speak to Renee to get an idea of guest numbers (the answer to the puzzle is 2) . You will have to go invite the extra witches to the party, but beware as you’re on a timer.

You should firstly invite Stephanie - you will gain a new bit of information for inviting her. You can also explore her room. Pick up a puzzle piece from her hat and a recipe from her bookcase. Go to make this recipe now (dark spaghetti).

You can now enter the bar on the first floor. Pick up a puzzle piece from the piano and speak to Cathy to get another new recipe. You can also head out to meet Evangeline on the balcony but she will not want to come to the party.

Then go to invite Mirabell and convince her using the toy rabbit. After this head over to the party to get ‘The Starry Sky’ achievement and a gift from Renee. Speak to everybody at the party (leave Renee until last) and pick up a puzzle piece from the lemon tree. Then hear the bedtime story to finish this section.

You will wake up in the garden and Polly will give you a quest - to take Vanessa’s breakfast to her. As you head into the house you will run into Xaviera who gives you another task, to retrieve her hourglass. DO NOT do this yet, there are several side quests to complete first!

First of all go pick up Vanessa’s breakfast and take this to her - you will get a recipe, information about Vanessa and ‘The Room Service’ achievement.

Next go speak to Stephanie to get the ‘Silent Stephanie’ quest. Then go speak to Marilyn about Stephanie, picking up the puzzle piece from Marilyn’s bookcase. Then return to Stephanie to tell her what you learned (click on Andrea, House, The maids, To have dogs). You will get a gift and information about Stephanie for completing this.

After this go speak to Xaviera in the attic to get the ‘Home, Sweet Home’ quest. You can collect the items for Xaviera from the kitchen (cake stand), the pantry (candy lights from the chest of drawers) and the cupboard under the stairs on ground floor (carpet). Give the items to Xaviera and you’ll get a gift. You can now go to Andrea’s room.

You will need to solve a puzzle to get into Andrea’s room. The answer is water. Pick up the passion fruit from Andrea’s table and the puzzle piece from the large teapot. Then pick up Xaviera’s hourglass and follow the white rabbit! You have to jump when you reach the tree, then work your way through the maze - there are no hidden items in it. You will then find yourself in the library.

Check the bookcase in the first room to get some coffee. You should also check your reflection in the mirror (this will be important later). Work your way around the library making sure to check the top of all the ladders - you should also interact with all the sparkling books to hear the story. At the bottom of the half length ladder you can find another puzzle piece. Speak to the skeleton and agree to help him.

Go to the room at the top of the library (next to the empty bookshelf) and SAVE here. Try to catch the brooms to achieve Dead End 2. Once you reload leave this part of the library for now. You should use the library key to enter the next room. This room is simple, follow through to the 3rd room where you will need to press enter to move the boxes around to clear a path. Follow the path through to the left (ignore the right side for now), making sure to pick up the puzzle from the box in the top left corner. At the end of the route you’ll find the hat - take this back to the skeleton who will give you a witches hat. Head back to the room with the brooms and put this on. The brooms will stop and you will get a broomstick to keep. In this room make sure to pick up the puzzle piece from the box in the bottom left corner. SAVE after exiting this room and head to the 3rd room. Attempt to jump over the hole in the floor which will trigger Dead End 3. Reload the game and use the broom to fly over this hole.

Pick up a puzzle piece from the starlight lamp in this room. There is a small puzzle involving the skulls. Only the skull next to Bookcase 1 should be lit. Take the paper you get from this skull and place it on the table (with the numbers). SAVE here. Take the book from Bookshelf 5 to achieve Dead End 4. Reload the game and take a book from Bookshelf 3 to open the secret passageway. Place the books on the thin bookshelf in the order History, Machine Manual & Fairy Tales. There is a concealed room at the end of the hallway with the holes in the floor. Stand on the colored square and press enter. Take a look around the room and open the box. The password is Tomato. Go back and SAVE. Follow through to the end of the path and when you meet the final character say ‘I don’t want to die’ to trigger Bad End 2 (Freedom). Reload the game and meet this character again, this time choosing the option ‘Don’t Listen Drea’. You will gain some new knowledge about Renee and Andrea.

BEFORE you take the hourglass back to Xaviera there are several side quests to complete. Speak to Andrea about the small room to gain information about Marilyn. Then speak to her again to get the ‘Unnecessary Feelings’ side-quest and achievement. You should be able to carry out the task quite easily. You can also pick up a puzzle piece from the clock, look at yourself in the mirror and check out the cats. I would look at the grey cat last as you can take it back out with you. You’ll get green tea powder and a gift from Andrea.

Next go to speak to Renee in the garden to get the ‘Forgotten Rabbit’. You can find this rabbit in the foyer. Before you give this back to Renee go to see Stephanie to get the ‘Cat Lovers? Dog Lovers?’ quest. As a side note I then spent some time in the kitchen doing a big chunk of the new recipes (Passion Tomato, The Ultimate Juice, Matcha Latte, Matcha Cookie, Matcha Pudding, Matcha Ramen, Espresso, Latte, Espresso Croissant). You can now go and speak to Vanessa, Mirabell, Marilyn, Andrea & Evangeline about Stephanie's quest.

You must then decide whether to give the rabbit to Andrea or Renee. I would recommend Renee, as this unlocks quests later in the game - she will give you a strawberry. You can also ask Renee about cats/dogs. I then went to make the new recipes using the strawberry (Frost Strawberry, Caramel Strawberries, Strawberry Cookie).

After this go to speak to Xaviera and return the hourglass (don’t worry the cat/dog quest will carry over). You will achieve the ‘Hourglass’ achievement. You will then have to question Xaviera in the following order Guest List, Can’t do it, Unable to enter the room, Evangeline, Humans are Enemies, From another world. You’ll gain information about Evangeline & Xaviera here. Remember to speak to Xaviera about whether she prefers cats or dogs.

This will then take you to the end of Chapter 2.

You will automatically learn some information about Mirabell. BEFORE you try to complete anything to do with this quest go to see Stephanie and finish the cat/dog quest from Chapter 2. You’ll receive a gift for this. After this go to see Renee in the garden and beat her at all the games to receive her cards and a new quest. SAVE. Go to Vanessa’s room to play the same games with her. You want to let her win - you can do this by Scissors, Right Hand and letting the timer run out in hide and seek. You can then get ‘The First Victory’ achievement. Go see Xaviera next and get the recipe, then head to the kitchen and make Caramel Potato Mash. The recipe is quite simple - just take it back up to Xaviera. You’ll receive a gift, a recipe and information about Xaviera, plus you’ll have finished ‘The Foreign Friend’ achievement - now go make the recipe quickly. Head into Evangeline’s room and pick up a puzzle piece from the icicle in the bottom left corner.

IMPORTANT - AT THIS POINT THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT ROUTES THE STORY CAN TAKE - I WOULD RECOMMEND CREATING TWO SAVE FILES AND FOLLOWING THE TWO DIFFERENT PATHS I HAVE DETAILED BELOW.
Chapter 3 - Playthrough 1 - With Evangeline
Go and speak to Evangeline - she will join your party which will get you the ‘An Unexpected Journey’ achievement. Go to Mirabell’s room - you will need to push the door several times. SAVE. Use the blue sugar in the candy machine to achieve Dead End 5. Reload your file. Then go and pick up a puzzle piece from the pink unicorn picture in Mirabel’s room. This time use the pink sugar in the cotton candy machine to create a stairway of clouds, which you should go up.

Speak to the unicorn - the correct answer is Mirabell. Speak to all the characters in the ballroom. Then go back and use your broom to take the bluebird to the girl in the blue dress who will give you a recipe. Next take the rooster and use this to wake the cat (in the carriage). You can now return to the ball and pick up a puzzle piece from the cloud which sticks out from the main bulk (in the top right corner). Go look at the sparkles and fly with Evangeline.

Follow the path which is pretty linear. You can find a puzzle piece when you reach the red parasol. The door is locked. To open it answer the questions in the order witch, human, bat. Pick up the puzzle piece below the left bird cage. SAVE then let the wedding dresses catch you for Dead End 6. Reload - neither of the doors to the side will open yet so go straight ahead, this time avoiding the wedding dresses. You then have to repeatedly press ‘Z’ to open the door, then do a little dodging as you run away from the dresses.

SAVE as soon as you get in this room. Pick up a puzzle piece from the left hand dresser. Go hide in the wardrobe (top right) and exit when the option ‘It should be ok…’ comes up. Once you exit the closet look at yourself in the mirror, then break the mirror. It’s then safe to leave the room the way you came in. Enter the left hand door and play match the dresses. In the next room pick up a blueberry from the bottom left blue podium and a puzzle piece from the top right blue podium. Interact with the mirror in this room to get a book, with a key inside. Afterwards interact with the mirror again to get ‘The Mirrors’ achievement (assuming you have interacted with all previous mirrors as detailed).

Use the key to open the door on the right hand door, then speak to Mirabell’s fiancee and pick up a puzzle piece from the roses on the table. Go through into the next room and pick up a puzzle piece from the wine bottles on the table. Speak to all the dolls in the room then head into the next room. Pick up a puzzle piece from the third bench up on the left side. Chase down Mirabell’s fiancee and answer the questions in the order motive, scandal. Go back into the garden, talk to Mirabell and save the game when prompted. Let Mirabell catch you to trigger Dead End 7. Reload then run away from Mirabell. In the maze just head for the top right.

Save before the interrogation begins. Give 4 wrong answers (imaginary x 4) to unlock Bad End 4 (Where Are You?). Reload and answer correctly was planned, a murder, the viscountess, Ernest, Ernest, Mirabell, were a human, Mirabell’s family name, lost yourself, the unicorn, ‘bat’. Run away with Mirabell afterwards, then tell her you understand when she wants to die as a human - you will achieve a gift and information about Mirabell, as well as the ‘Mirabell’ and ‘The End of All Nightmares’ achievements.

Chapter 3 - Playthrough 2 - Without Evangeline
Go to Mirabell’s room. This time she will open when you knock and you can give her a gift. However she will not respond to any of them and you’ll wake up in your room. Then back to Mirabell's room and explore this and the cloud world as before.

When you get back to the room with the closet SAVE as before. Go hide in the wardrobe and leave at the first chance to unlock Dead End 8. Reload. Go hide in the wardrobe (top right) and keep waiting until you get Dead End 9. Reload. You can then leave and carry out the other tasks here as before.

When you are confronting Mirabell in this playthrough save before the interrogation begins. Answer incorrectly (say imaginary x 4), then say that you want to run to unlock Bad Ending 3. Reload then answer correctly as before. Run away with Mirabell afterwards, then tell her you don’t want her to die (she’ll enter a 100 year sleep instead) - you will achieve a gift and information about Mirabell.

Chapter 4 - Beginning

REGARDLESS OF WHICH ROUTE YOU TOOK LAST PLAYTHROUGH, PLAY THE SAME AT THIS POINT

After the end of Chapter 3 you will have to go and see Andrea to tell her what happened - Evangeline will barge in talking about a missing item her necklace. Head to the kitchen and catch up on some recipes! (Blueberry Yoghurt, Blueberry Cake, Eyeball Jelly).

Make sure to see Stephanie to get the ‘Another Language’ side quest. Get the recipe for this from the top right bookcase in the lounge and the vines from the potion room cupboard on the top left. Renee and her rabbit are in the garden but there’s not much to do there. Likewise you can talk to Vanessa but not enter her room - Andrea and Marilyn aren’t much help either.

Head up to Xaviera’s, where she’ll give you the necklace and you can learn more information about her. Head back to Evangeline’s room, saving before you enter. Make sure to pick up some wood for the lute from one of her trees. Head into her palace where you’ll learn some more information about Andrea. Pick up a puzzle piece from the first tree that you see. Head to the final room where you can pick up a puzzle piece behind the cottage. Say you will ‘leave for now’.

First head to the potions room to make some strings. Then combine these with the wood to make a lute which you deliver to Stephanie. This should trigger ‘The Silent Witch’ achievement.

Head back out to the garden, then interact with the rabbit. Follow the rabbit into the basement. You will interact with Evil Renee who asks for food. Give her two strawberry flavoured meals from your inventory to receive a recipe, a gift and information about Renee. You will also get ‘The Eternal Darkness’ and ‘That’s Helpful’ achievements assuming you’ve done everything else correctly up to this point. Speak to the rabbit to go back to the garden.

Next head to the kitchen and make strawberry spaghetti to get ‘The Golden Chef’ achievement.

Go speak to Andrea, then follow her recommendation and check in with Xaviera.After the flashback check in with Marilyn for a bit of information and then head back to Andrea. SAVE Then head up to Xaviera where you will have an option at some point in your conversation with Xaviera to say ‘I don’t know’. Select this to get another Bad End 5 (Hero).Then reload. Pick up the twig and ice in Evangeline’s room, then head back to Xaviera and use the ‘house’ note to access Evangeline's memory.

AT THIS POINT YOU WILL CREATE TWO DIFFERENT PLAYTHROUGHS AGAIN

Chapter 4 - Playthrough 1 - Normal Ending
Inside the memory first investigate the snowman to gain a memory. In this playthrough enter the cottage. You will then be drawn into the garden where you can challenge Evangeline.SAVE first. Firstly say several times that Evangeline has no power to achieve Bad End 7 (The End of the World).

Reload and use the options is restricted, Daria’s curse, nearly attacked the village, location, of something else, Evangeline, memories of Irina, Evangeline’s necklace, Irina, Evangeline. At this point you’ll get a gift and information about Evangeline, as well as the ‘Friendship’, ‘Curses and Promises’ and ‘Peace…’ achievements. You will also unlock the ‘Extras’ option on the main screen.
Chapter 4 - Playthrough 2 - True Ending
Inside the memory first investigate the snowman to gain a memory. Then leave before entering the cottage. Head over to Xaviera’s hourglass and choose to visit the village. Pick up a puzzle piece from the sign outside the right hand house. Follow the path to the right, then pick up a puzzle piece from the top of the two pots. Investigate the snow sculpture (this provides a hint for the later puzzle).

Then look at the barrier and say you’re going to go inside. Here there is a challenge - the quickest way to get around is up, right, up, left, down, left, up, right. Then investigate the crack in the wall. You will end up in a maze.

The route is left, up, down, left, left, right, down, up (don’t worry if it feels like you’re going back on yourself!). You will end up in a clearing - pick up the final piece of the puzzle from the first icicle on the left. Then save and speak to Sniechek, on the right. You can get a lot of information by talking to her, make sure to follow all possible conversation lines. When given the option to go back to the village choose to talk more. When you reach the ‘your wishes’ option, choose the ‘travel’ option to unlock ‘The Traveller’ achievement. You can then return to Xaviera’s room (I quickly went to put the puzzle together in Charlotte’s room to unlock this image in the final gallery).

You can then head back to Xaviera’s to investigate the cottage and start the garden confrontation. SAVE before you do this. Choose not to confront Evangeline to Unlock Bad End 6 (Peace). Reload and use the same options as before This will then unlock the true ending and the ‘To the Future’ achievement.

Puzzle Pieces: Collect all 36 puzzle pieces
The Traveller: When speaking to Sniechek in the woods choose to tell her that Irina wished to travel.
Curses and Promises: Complete Chapter 4
Gossip with Tea: Collect all the facts about the witches
If…: Collect the 7 bad endings
Peace...: Get the normal ending
To the Future: Get the true ending

Extra Extra: After achieving the True Ending go into Extra and head into the additional room.
Save the World: Save the game 50 times (across any number of playthroughs)

There's a icy sliding hallway between the first room behind Eva's door and the cottage, not mentioned in the guide. There's a save point and a thing I should be able to investigate, but I can't stop or turn. Is it just a little joke by the developer or a new addition?

I'm not sure what to do. I open the door to the house, I go in but then what? Every single door after that is locked. I'm not sure what to do or how to unlock Charlotte's room.

@Mousekateer627 Hi, I'd recommend using the guide on the second runthrough, mainly for help with all the puzzle pieces :)

I didn't get Gossip with Tea, Friendship or Puzzle Pieces on my 1st playthrough so I'm going to replay
Do you advice me to use your guide for 2nd playthrough or do you advice mixing up a bit

No problem, I got stuck on that part too. Also, to write an answer you have to delete the "?????" first by pressing esc a couple times, then use the arrows to select the letter you want and press z or enter.
