Do not spoil your experience!
DO NOT USE THIS GUIDE ON YOUR FIRST PLAYTHROUGH.

(also, I hate video guides - they are too long and boring - give me something I can read)

You will ruin a great experience.

This game is one of the best interactive-fiction-style, cyberpunk thrillers in years.
Up there with Neuromancer, Dreamweb, Tex Murphy, I have no mouth but I must scream.

Do not spoil it for yourself by using a guide on your first play.

It is not a game that can be easily replayed, as the story and plot are so memorable in detail and event.
Those annoying cards...
Whoever decided to put collectibles in a one-shot adventure game - that must be collected in ONE playthrough - made a poor decision, in my opinion... It is this game's only flaw, other than to put them in non-returnable areas and have some not unlock unless you have found the previous or completed other actions in sequence (ie, cars, roses).

Complete all optional objectives, as some are required to unlock collectibles.

As mentioned in the spider section, it is not necessary to complete the levels at each computer. Merely play to unlock - they can be completed all together at Victor's computer (on which you unlock the final level, the solutions are linked in the spider section of this guide) before dealing with the trapware mini-games.

(yay, murder and mini-games, a match made in heaven)

The RC cars and RS roses must be collected in order. Patient Records can be found in any order, but are missable...

I can see why it was done, as there were a few events I didn't encounter the first time; there were a few missed conversations that I am glad to have listened to. There was also the opportunity to choose alternatives to moral dilemmas and conduct conversations in a different manner. Perhaps a few things happened in a different way, as I took different routes.

But, it's annoyed me so much... That the developers would put in such a mechanic to a one-shot game - that I have to write this guide. It is my notebook on how to find everything, in the right order.

So much to replay for such little gain...

Gotta catch em all! Necro-necrophage [cards]!
Those annoying cards... part 1
This is the most efficient way to collect all the cards (and other things) that I have found.

Any marked # are MISSABLE and require game restart.
All cards are marked with either a yellow Necrophage sticker or Radiation sticker.

Exploration:

(Knock on every door as you go, scan everything)

  • 01: After first crimescene, in bathroom on right of apt. 005. Card is right of toilet, on upturned blue bucket.
  • 02: After hacking door (0446), RC car speeds off. Card on washer on right, under electrical panels, pecked by a bird. Next to apt. 016, marked with 'phage sticker.
  • RC1: Here you can also scan the 1st RC car, outside apt. 017.
  • FS01-02: The first spider computer is located next to this RC car, in apt. 017.
  • 03: Same room as computer. Card is under window, on radiator, left of 'phage sticker.
  • 04: Janitor Janus' Office, close door. Card is behind monitor with 'phage sticker.
  • FS03: In this room there is also the 2nd spider computer.
  • 05: Enter Courtyard, turn immediately left, enter door and room marked with fan sticker. Power up computer using cable next to it. Update system to CronOS 5.61 (driver info from scan). Enable operations. Card is between first set of machines, plastic wrapped, along vent accessed via hatch marked with 'phage sticker.
  • 06: In Courtyard, alley down left side of Tattoo Shop. Card is in trashcan marked with 'phage sticker.
  • RS1: From Courtyard, enter main building. Descend to basement level through metal door to find first rose on pipes opposite basement door.
  • 07: Cross to opposite side of basement and ascend to 3rd floor. Card is on chair under map.
  • PR1: Radio directly behind after collection of card 07, among monitors.
  • 08: In wardrobe, plastered with stickers, next to apt. 110, card in box marked with 'phage sticker.
  • PR2: Continue along corridor, enter bathroom on left. Flush toilet. Radio is under filth.
  • 09: Exit bathroom same way (or robot to the rescue! blocks corridor...), turn left before apt. 107, follow corridor, bearing left down glitch hall.. Card is on top of cabinet marked with 'phage sticker and radiation sign.
  • 10: Apt 106, head past apt. 105 and exit onto balcony, left to end of walkway. Card is on chair, right of poster at end of walkway.
  • 11: Turning around, exit via opposite end of walkway (into stairway). Card is low on left, on computer parts, directly in front of doorway, near 'phage sticker.
  • 12: Through door for apt. 101-104. Enter first door on left. Card is on monitor next to large 'phage sticker. Ignore the old man asking for help - he's not going anywhere.

DO NOT GO FURTHER DOWN THIS HALLWAY OR YOU WILL BE FORCED TO CONTINUE WITH THE STORY.

  • 13: Exit the way you came. Up stairs to door for apt. 201-207. Card is outside apt. 205, on electronics, under 'phage sticker.
  • 14: Inside apt. 205. Card is on table with laptop and vodka bottle.
  • FS04: Inside apt. 205. Also open safe via wire trace button to progress organ dealer case.
  • 15: Exit 205, enter laundry room to right. Card is in open locker on left.
  • 16: Cross over to door to apt. 210-211. Card is at end of hallway, behind metal door, on floor.
  • 17: Head over to apt. 114 (talk to Polina in 113 or use code 1074). Card is inside cupboard immediately right of door, above holo-image (can use NV or turn on disco ball to see).
  • FS05: Apt. 114, in room with Pieta.

Pieta interrogation:

  • 18: # During neural interrogation of Pieta, after attuning tree. Card is where tree was before. Machine is marked with 'phage sticker. Grab fast, else wind blows out of hand...

Exploration:

  • 19: Back out, up stairs. Through door for apt. 201-210. Turn right at T junction with "new eyes, new you" poster and follow hallway. Card is in open shelving, right of blue door, next to 'phage sticker.
  • 20: Enter blue door to kitchen. Card is in the freezer marked with a 'phage sticker.
  • RC2.1: It is possible that there is an RC car in the kitchen at this stage ("Dad..?").
  • RS2: Exit kitchen same way. Go through grafitti marked door next to apt. 210. Rose is attached to safety grid, right side, easy to see.
  • 21: Directly through next door from rose (marked with stickers), bear left. Card is on chair, in recess marked with 'phage sticker, next to window.
  • 22: Go through door to outside, take right door to stairway. Ascend to 3rd floor. Opposite door for 301-304, enter unlocked door to balcony walkway marked with 'phage sticker. Card is in the bathroom at end of walkway, on cabinet, immediately right.
  • FS06: Enter door for apt. 301-304. Through first door on right, apt. 302. Hack door directly in front (6359). Inside is "holo-horrible" computer and plangonologist's wet dream (think she's half-dead in the centre - guess therapy didn't work)...
  • 23: Exit room and turn right, follow hallway. Card is in grimy wall cabinet on corner, past toilet, marked with 'phage sticker to right (same apt.).

An interesting conversation at 304 - a counter-point to the fembot [de]humanisation of 211.
Also 301, regarding the 'phage. Anyway... that's the "free-roam" stuff out of the way, some things won't be there later... and you ought to have the "annoy every neighbour" achievement - game on.

Amir interrogation:

  • 24: # Return to apt. 104 and commence neural interrogation of Amir. During interrogations, past the score-marked hallway. Enter kitchen. Card is on right, above cooker, in cupboard marked with radiation sticker.
  • 25: # While visiting clients, after first delivery to "the Champ", a green monitor displays a right arrow. Turn right and go under barrier. Card is on the door marked with radiation sticker.
  • 26: # During prison sequence, after escort. "I wanna go home!". Entering a long corridor, it will go dark and lights flicker. Turn around and crouch under barrier to retrieve card from bloodstained wall. "Let me out!", gone too far, still able to backtrack to get card. "Fresh meat", too late, reload.
  • 27: # After initiating shower sequence, knock the TV flying and head right of the central column. Follow the pipeline to a blue-lighted shower, marked with a radiation sticker. Card is here, high left.

  • 28: After the interrogation is complete, left of the blood-filled bath. Card can be found in the bottom drawer of a low cabinet, marked with a 'phage sticker.
  • FS07: Inside this room there is also another computer, in the kitchen.

Do not forget to grab the jar of "Controlled Substance 31a" behind Amir's body, to start an optional investigation. It is perhaps necessary to investigate his clients for these next collectibles.
Here is also a good place to overdose on Syncrozine for an achievement. Take 2-3 doses to "rectify" vision... kinda.

It is not necessary to enter apt. 202, but worth a visit for P.T. fans.
The code is in the list (hack and code shows on tablet with duck sticker, in laundry room - 3690).

  • RC2.2: After visiting Amir's clients (112, 209), head up to the second floor, through door for apt. 201-210. Turn right at the T junction. The RC car will end up back in the kitchen, through the blue door. Use EM to scan, even if it was there before - this appears a small bug in the game. Perhaps it must be scanned after interrogation... either way, visiting the clients nets an achievement and clears an optional objective.
  • RC3: Returning to the Courtyard. There is an RC car (and some exceptionally brave pigeons) that will eventually crash, down the alley that contained card 06, allowing it to be scanned. If it is not there, return to scan the first two cars again.
  • FS08: As soon as entering the Tattoo Shop, there is another computer (never get a tattoo like those in any data if you wish to earn respect, except maybe the last skull).
Those annoying cards... part 2
From here on out, it is possible to die - Charon / Chiron is the ferryman over the river styx.

"The West killed the East. The East Killed the West. There were no winners, except Chiron."

** Avoid the Chrion mutant **
(When it is around, you will hear your heartbeat and feel its footfalls. It even has its own ambient, tension music with strings. Patience and certainty are your allies. Move stealthfully between desks, dumpsters, vents or - in a few places: Run away. Fast)

(ps, if you want to cheat for "Unbreakable", when you hear it running at you - quit and reload before it kills you - up to the point it says "game over", so you can even see its face)

Nowak interrogation:

  • 29: # During Helena Novak's neural interrogation, as the offices light, head to the bathroom. Turn right and again before the break-room/cafeteria, hugging the wall. Turn right at the end of the smiling poster (3rd right). Card is in the empty cubicle. (It is possible to backtrack if you enter the cafeteria, instead of following the snake).
  • 30: # The office becomes blurred with a nightclub and turns red. Look right, 4 o'clock, to find the pillar with the 'phage sticker. Move to the sticker. Laying on a chair - the card is directly left.
  • 31: # Follow the chop-shop snake through the tunnel into the apartment. "Respect through surveillance". The computer says it is set to print at 3:20AM. Set the nearby kitchen clock (marked with radiation sticker) to this time and card will be printed.
  • 32: # After the washer sequence, "hey baby, I'm home", emerging into a dark room next to a table, "I can't do this any more". Turn immediately left down a hallway after teleport, crouching under cables. Card is on a lighted table at the end, marked with a 'phage sticker.
  • ** After the initial data download - touching the tilted chair - be very cautious to avoid being caught by the mutant. Appears - first section, hang right til exit. Second section, hang left. Third section (downloading from the lighted, cabled terminals), only timing of movement and avoiding the central, open space. **
  • 33: # After surviving the mutant, follow the green cables round the corner and go up the stairs to the door with the 'phage sticker, instead of continuing down. Use the handle to release the card from the letterbox.
  • RC4: # You must have collected all the previous cars (ie, Amir's clients optional). Use the laughing/crying TV, after opening the 2nd door - move straight down the hallway, through a room containing a TV on a blue cannister, to open a room that shows the RC car sitting on a workbench. Take the car.
  • 34: # After negotiating the corn-field (remain crouched while moving through corn, remain static on hearing static. Time your sprint across the centre of the centre) and speaking with Adam on the computer, the world becomes transparent. There is a blue/white flash towards the end. To the right, opposite the orange cables - there is a 'phage sticker. The card is on a desk, behind this.

  • 35: # After entering the Tattoo chair keycode, enter the door and look immediately right to find the next card. Use NV. (HEY! IT'S YOU, ROY ROY BATTY BOY!!!)
  • 36: # After opening the metal door with the switch ("a surgical chop shop..."), the card is on the left as you enter, on a shelving unit next to the arm prosthesis. Use NV. Grab before turning on power.

Basement:

  • 37: # Emerging from the tunnel into the basement, turn left and take the first left, past apt 004. The card is inside the left room at the end of this short corridor, in an open cabinet next to a monitor, marked with a 'phage sticker.
  • 38: # Upon seeing the flying chair, turn right from its position, Past apt. 015. Card is inside the open fridge, marked with a 'phage sticker.
  • PR3: # Tale the right corridor from the fridge, past apt. 018, and through the metal gate. Turn right, up the stairs, first room on the left. The third Patient Record is inside apt 020.
  • FS09: # Exiting this room, the next down the corridor on the right - glowing green, down in the dark - contains the penultimate computer.
  • 39: # Returning to the main path (back down stairs, thru metal gate), past broken fridge. Through the doorway, in earshot of the pig. Flanked by green grating, take the stairs that lead to nowhere. Card lies at the bottom of these. (is that Walter White..?)
  • 40: # Back up the stairs, follow the pathway to see an apparition. Turn right to apt. 028. Open the door with code 7441 (idk where to find the code, I bruteforced it after hacking the 1). The card is inside the toppled freezer, dead ahead, underneath the developer's advertisement poster for Layers of Fear, marked with a 'phage symbol.
  • If you get lost, exploring the basement - listen for the pig and then the lo-fi music - the exit is near there - 4004.
  • 41: # After the conversation with the woman, who's path you will not cross again / Gertrude / Laura, return back down the hallway, through a darkened door, into a bathroom. Card is up high, next to a 'phage sticker.

I like Janitor Janus.

Karnas interrogation:

  • 42: ## As soon as you enter apt. 210, upon seeing the white flash, turn back to the right and find the card on the sideboard next to the vacuum cleaner, marked with a 'phage sticker (if you move forwards after the flash, the card will not be there on the way out and it is not there before the flash, and you commit to moving on, either... REAL easy to miss.).
  • 43: # After the interrogation is complete (not that you knew it was happening...) there is a drawer in the kitchen, marked with a 'phage sticker. Card is inside.

Tracking the Killer:
  • 44: # Back in the Tattoo Shop's chop shop, klaxon blaring "lockdown procedure", behind the barriers at the back, surrounded by red lights and marked with a radiation sticker. Crouch to reach it. Card is on the silhouette.
  • 45: # After exiting the guts of the apartment building ("am I losing it?"), onto the balcony walkways - bear right instead of following the trail, entering the door at the end. Card is on the chair next to a 'phage sticker.
  • ** On talking to the paranoid guy who knows about "him", after doorcode 2069 - quickly turn back to the symbol marked door and run ahead immediately, or you will die **
  • 46: # Deactivating the holographic forest (or "dispelling the illusion", for techno-elves) using EM. Card is before the door leading outside that has a 'phage sticker to its right, among broken computer parts, right of the blood trail.
Those annoying cards... part 3
At this point, there is no going back.
So far, collected:
  • 46 Cards
  • 4 RC cars (start, kitchen, courtyard, Nowak)
  • 2 Roses (basement, walkway)
  • 3 Patient Records (3rd floor, toilet, basement)
  • 9 Computer game levels (all over)
If not - messed up. Restart and try again, unless missed something that is not labelled, "#MISSABLE". Maybe you will be lucky and it will still be there... but perhaps now Janus is using the walkway bathroom, so you can't get that card that was supposedly "unmissable"... perhaps taking the card means Janus is now in the room! Who knows..? Who cares any more..?

This is why the "exploration" cards came first, despite not being entirely linear order (eg, collecting Tattoo alley trash can card while collecting 3rd RC card).

Everything is missable from this point onward.

  • RS3: After dropping (no pun intended) down into pigeon central - Head up the stairs to the left instead of over the planked ramp. The rose is inside the furthest cage.
  • 47: Do not open the trapdoor. Crouch and move to the chair on the left. Card is under fallen locker, marked with radiation sign.

Victor's interrogation:

  • 48: After the gate opens onto the courtyard filled with TV heads, turn immediately right, hugging the wall, and approach the steam emitting from the cage. Card is located inside, lighted by monitor. It can be collected still if the storyteller falls.
  • 49: When following deer, a TV says, "what's wrong with his legs" - turn right - there is a clawed door on left side with a 'phage sticker to its left, before a glitched hallway. Card is inside, directly ahead.
  • 50: After a flash to a past bedroom filled with wolfman posters, "this is hopeless", returned to destroyed present. Do not follow deer. Card is in destroyed kitchen, broken fridge, marked with 'phage sticker.
  • 51: "Talk to him Victor...". Card is in front of the church, on pew marked with 'phage sticker, right side.
  • The morgue contains the bodies of "tylko l osoba" - "only one person".
  • RS4: On reaching the Tattoo Shop in the woods, passing by, bear left through the woods and find Laura Lazarski's grave just before a bright lighted tree, before the mutant. (who is Gertrude..?)
  • ** Be cautious now - The mutant is around hte lighted tree area. Use the dumpsters to avoid death by mutant. Hang right. **
  • 52: The Janitor appears in a distorted version of the office, after the forest, "there may be some very nasty people out there". The card is in front of him, above a 'phage sticker.

"I interrogate dead people..."

Victor sounds like Norman Rockwell...

The way to the Hideout:

  • 53: After the completely silent, heavy metal door - Card is near the hole in the ground, near 'phage sticker. Stand on the sticker and find it by looking back towards the big door, under the girders.
  • 54: Card is in central locker, in same room as spare fuses (35a).
  • 55: Having activated the generator, return to card 53 (easier to see, this way, perhaps). Open the door using the button and turn first left. Past apt. 042, spot a 'phage sticker on the wall. Card is to the right, atop a scrapped cooker.
  • 56: Down in the sewers, continue straight ahead under piped archways instead of taking the left tunnel. Card is on the ground, in the effluent run-off, near the grating. Not questioning why there is grafitti everywhere... in active sewers... must be Victor's tags...

Victor's Hideout:

  • FS10: Victor's computer contains the final game. All levels can be played here (I got stuck on level 9 and 10 - solutions are linked in that section of this guide)
  • I had trouble with level 10: The solution is: Leftx6, Upx2, Lx4, Ux3, Rightx1, Lx3, U, L, U, L, U, L, All Up to the princess. Gratz UR4W31NN3R.
  • 57: Card is directly ahead of computer, in the middle of the film posters, marked with 'phage sticker.

Adam's interrogation:

Looking good in the mirror there - the mouth even moves when he speaks, in the car, at the start. Kinda. I like games with player bodies and shadows (shame no-one ever notices player shadows in stealth games...).

  • 58: Before activating Chiron Main Data Storage, as the room lights up. Card is on the floor, to the left of the terminal, marked with 'phage sticker.

The Trapware achievement is covered in another section of this guide. But if you can be bothered to not hack your way to victory - simply run in [anti]clockwise circles around the edges of the first "Tetris" room for about 10 minutes. Reload if fail. (hack the speed... be 1337...)

Finding Sanctuary:

  • 59: Down in the sewers. Flip the switches. Get electrocuted. Continue through a gate that is now lit green. Crouch under a pipe and turn left instead of forwards through pipe chicane. Card is in the filth, next to a grate, under a dimly lighted 'phage sticker.
  • 60: Pulling the lever to open the second floodgate, at the end of the tunnel when faced with rusted piping and hearing flies (savepoint), before a right turn. Card is on the left, tucked next to the pipe marked with a 'phage sticker.
  • 61: As soon as laying eyes on Sanctuary, turn immediately left. Card is on floor next to the metal quarantine doors. Marked with 'phage sticker.
  • 62: Before entering Sanctuary, passing under the archway, turn right towards the trash pile. Card is laying on top of a church organ keyboard, marked with 'phage sticker.
  • 63: After meeting with Adam in a beautiful forest straight out of Oblivion. Above the entrance, upstairs through sets of double doors and past the church organ to progress the game. Wall bears a 'phage sticker. Card is on the balcony's railing.

Chiron:

  • 64: After exiting lift in first room with greeter and red carpet. Card is left of top-most monitor, marked wth 'phage sticker.
  • 65: Crouch under barricade after 'phage victim, "Remove your implants". Card is on corner, to right of "Digital Decay", above 'phage sticker.
  • PR4: Entering, "Nanophage Inefected Area" (intentional typo on game poster..?). Patient Record is on lighted table with radio (can't miss it, unless you didn't get the other three, perhaps..?).
  • 66: In white floored room, "Sir, some of the patients are still symptom free". Card is on a stool directly to the right after entering, under 'phage sticker.
  • 67: ** Avoiding mutant ** Second section (floodlight, blood trail, mutant). Exit left and turn left again. Next to monitors displaying lips is panel with 'phage sticker in brightly lighted area. Card is behind this panel. Exit left for quick entry to third section (can also return this way after mutant teleports to next section, if missed).
  • 68: On reaching the control room, thumping on the glass, do not use the computer (RUN!). Instead, look right and card is laying at end of console. ** PS: Run or die **
  • 69: After "RUN!", escape through hatch. When reaching static screen with steam-emitter after a wall of fans - look right and unplug all power cables. Final card is beyond. (yay).
  • If you haven't already - OD on Synchrozine now. I wonder what happens if you DON'T take your meds..? Never found out...

Revelatory moment...

Aaaaaand - should have everything now.
Hopefully you chose a different ending, so you unlock the final achievement (rejecting Adam/Shodan, cos you were nice the first time, right..?).

What a great game and amazing story - took ~10 hours to play it from start to finish.
What a terrible idea - to have to spend another 10 hours finding a bunch of stuff, while reliving something so powerfully memorable I'll never forget a detail of the experience.

Can speedrun the final collection of everything in less than an hour, if the game is sped up by several factors using a speedhack and dialogue is skipped. It does mess up the audio quite a lot...
Missing something..? oh dear.
In case of missing collectible - lists compiled to numbers to determine which was missed.
Unsure if changes on different playthroughs, or is set order however picked up. Don't really care.

Some elements of game appear procedural-based on interaction sequence.

(not repeating the mistake of noting all locations of Deus Ex collectibles and forgetting to get one myself...)

PR2: Telltale.
PR3: You're mean.
PR4: Marshmallow broke.

Patient records are worth finding - discovery lends to backstory - very nice.

  • Tattoo Shop
  • Basement 021
  • Apartment 302

Get all of these, the cars, roses and the three interviews before following the blood trail to the attic, as you cannot return from that point onward.

It is not necessary to finish the Spiders levels, only to unlock them by visiting the computers.

  • The final computer is in Victor's hideout.

Here all the levels might be played out.

Solutions:

For some written solutions to follow, you can see here:
https://www.gameskinny.com/pp128/observer-guide-to-the-fire-and-sword-spiders-mini-game
(If the spiders guide freezes - simply reload the page).

I've added level 10, as a video, in the comments, but here's a written solution to follow:

FS10: Lx6, Ux2, Lx4, Ux3, Rx1, Lx3, U, L, U, L, U, L, Up to the princess.

If you really get stuck on the other levels, here's a walkthru: https://youtu.be/W9quH0DPG0c

Trapware achievement
The simplest way to get enough points in this is to simply run in circles in the "Tetris" room, and reload if you fail.

But that takes ages.

With an i7 @ 3.4ghz, 32gb ram and 980ti - good luck with the speed of the race game, unless you happen to have wired reflexes.

Otherwise, if you are sick of failing (the race game is where the points are gained fastest, there are no points in the dungeon - only an RC car ending) more than twice:

The game is about hacking. There are plenty of hacks if you need more time.
I like hacking. It was easier in the 90s.

For this, we can use a simple memory editor, or CPU throttler.

There is an option in Cheat Engine (watch the bloatware on install):

  • Open Cheat Engine
  • Choose Observer (process must be running)
  • Edit
  • Settings
  • Hotkeys
  • Speedhack
  • Set superslow (eg, 0.1 or even 0.01) and regular speed (ie, 1) bind to keys
  • Alternative: bind to one key and check "stop on release" - hold the button.
  • Use Speedhack
  • Profit

Why run in circles when you can learn the basics of memory editing and how to hack games..?

/* this cheat engine feature is very useful for single player games to speed up or slow down anything - using it in multiplayer games will get you banned */

If you don't want to do that, there is 3rd party software to adjust game speed.
You can use a trial version of a utility such as this to slow the game right down:

http://www.asoftech.com/as/

But idk why you'd want to do that, when you can simply run in circles or use free software to do the same thing.

(I hacked my way into the top 50 of MGSV leaderboards and no-one noticed until I told them it was because I was invisible, silent and invincible - it's a game in itself and shows what terrible anti-cheat mechanisms are in place for very expensive PvP games, sometimes - no-one likes me in MGSV any more...).

I used a speed hack to more quickly progress through this game the billionth time, because I didn't want to waste my life replaying the entire thing at the same pace.

It broke the music and some audio, but that was it. No scripting errors that I noticed.
All the keycodes
  • Starting Apartment: 1984 (from book)
  • Locked door between room 11 and 12: 0446 (hack)
  • Apartment 114: 1074 (talking to girl)
  • Tattoo Chair: 3615 (from neural interrogation - don't just skip that...)
  • Basement 028: 7441 (hack, back of photograph in Organ Farmer's Safe) - TY MsoG.
  • Basement Exit: 4004 (bruteforce after hack)
  • Apartment 202: 3690 (hack, from tablet with duck sticker / tv near door / bruteforce)
  • Apartment 302: 6359 (hack)
  • Tattoo Alley: 2069 (hack, from nightclub)
Cars, Roses, Cassette Tapes
RC Cars:
  • Apartment 017.
  • Kitchen (must have interrogated Amir and questioned his customers, even if scanned before).
  • Main Courtyard (must have interrogated Amir and questioned customers).
  • Neural Interrogation of Helena Nowak, (must have collected all previous).
Roses:
  • Near entrance to basement (near start, disappears after entering basement).
  • Second floor, outdoors, in safety grate on balcony bridge.
  • After entering attic, upstairs, off blood-trail, in middle pigeon coop.
  • In woods during Victor's neural interrogation, after Tattoo Parlour, before mutant (must have collected all previous, no reload possible if missing this one).
Patient Interview Recordings:
  • Radio on the staircase of 2nd floor. Use EM to check for cables.
  • Building section 105-110. Toilets in which you get locked. Use toilet. Radio hidden under filth.
  • Basement 020.
  • Chiron Hotel on the table with white and red cloth (endgame).

Refer to main guide if lost.
End Achievements
Once the game is complete, reload your save by quitting before the end of the credits and you are able to experience the "other" ending.

But - since it's likely necessary to play it twice to get all the fkn annoying cards...

Why not save the other ending for the time you decided to choose the other options in conversations or to the moral dilemmas faced - let the girl return to autism, kill the old lady, deny the people access to life-saving organ transplants..? Or simply ignore them..? Oh right... need to visit those areas for the fkn cards... right...

It is only a shame that, ultimately, no action than the final decision is of any consequence in the game-world, other than in pursuit of the damn one-shot collectibles in a one-play adventure game...

Never-the-less, it was a great experience. Movie of the year, for me.

These flaws can be overlooked.

Except the "collect all cards in one playthrough".

Why in one playthrough..? Why..?

Oops, I missed that one right at the end I got last time and can't go back for... oh well - time to restart for another dozen hours to get that one card I missed...

Please don't ever do that again - it was not fun to scrabble in the dirt, although it was nice to hear the few conversations I missed and encouraging other playthroughs (at least seeing the alternative ending) was something appreciated as there were a few things I missed (Thanks for the missing code location, Miserable Sack of Guts!).

Thankfully, the yellow stickers that signify the card is there helped a lot.

(and yes, girth matters more than length...)

I just wanted to hop in here and give an absolutely huge thank you for adding a text guide to level 10 of the spider game. All of the video guides are super difficult to follow with all of them rushing through, and it was ten times worse with no boundaries to track the movement.

"Turn right to apt. 028. Open the door with code 7441 (idk where to find the code, I bruteforced it after hacking the 1). " dude...you've tried every possible combination?? o.o

by the way, the code was in apartment 205, in the bottom left photo on the safe... I don't know if someone already tell.
you don't even need to look at the numbers, just pick the photo and the number will apeear in the case notes

Doh.

That sucks - but don't let one small thing wreck stuff - class game, right?

For me, it has been nearly 3 years since I played this game, so it is like a book or a movie. I forget some parts but as soon as I have a cue I remember it all.

Maybe I ought to just play all games like this on drugs so I never remember.

#alwaysforget

I visited all computers before i finished the game yesterday, but nothing. I got the 5th level on Victor's computer.
Thanks for your help, but no way i will Replay this game in the near future
Cap'n Saccade  [autor] 3 jul. 2020 às 20:02
If it was me I would check the places in sequence, as listed, and recheck.
I have a vague memory that the first computer allowed a few levels...

Perhaps another reader might be able to have a fresh memory of the computers.

Or... I could replay the game, because it is good and it has been long enough for me to forget stuff. But I will remember it as it happens.

No way am I going to bother with collecting stuff.

What is interesting that i got the 3rd chapter on the 4th computer. I hope it isnt a bug what makes the achievement incompletable
pityke0211 29 jun. 2020 às 10:58
Thanks but i completed the available levels, green ✅ after every 4 available chapter. I Will check on the last computer

Oh - you need to complete the levels to unlock the next one - when you are in 302, you have only 4 available as you have only finished 3 levels. You must finish the 5th level to access 6th and so on - it will not appear if it is incomplete.
The order I have listed them is simply to go with the route for the cards and other things - but I think the issue here is that you must finish the levels to unlock the others, that is why they are not appearing :)

good luck
