Tiki taka on speed, Sarri's Napoli. The most beautiful total football ever seen on Football Manager.

Descriere
Now won Serie A twice with Napoli. Won and been runners up in Champions League. Leading premier league with Southampton. I'm currently using the tactic to rejuvenate EVerton's woeful season. Just played half a season with Sunderland in the third season, we're eight points clear at the top of the league, and hammered Barcelona in the Champions League with 72% possession (see screen shot).

Why is it the greatest tactic ever ? It's certainly not the most successful, there are exploit tactics you can play and play to achieve better results. The beauty of this tactic, is that it plays beautiful football and gets results.

Here's a video on what it's all about
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM00yrvVRC4&t=14s

More detail on training, instructions, and PPM's available on my blog (also at the bottom of this post).

Also some people said they're struggling to download the tactic on here, it can be accessed from {LINK ELIMINAT}

The essence of the tactic is a 4-3-3, playing fast attacking possession football. Like tiki-taka on speed. There is very many short passes in the defensive area of our pitch, and more incisive passing in the final third (this will also require a lot of attention to PPM's over the duration of your game- PPM's are discussed in the blog post, which ill get out tonight 25/10).
The defense plays very high, with an offside trap and very aggressive pressing. The pressing is orchestrated also through the opposition instructions which are important to the tactical success (OI's are in the screenshots).
You need players with good compsure, decisions, off the ball, passing, fisrt touch, teamwork, workrate and determination to make this work.

Additionally, against some teams it is likely that attacking mentality is going to be required, this can be downloaded from another link on here. I actually think i use this more with the overload mentality if i'm chasing a game, so you might want to change that.

I also have a link of worlld class players, and wonderkids with the potential to be world class players, here:

Instructions and PPM's to achieve the short passing in the first third, more incisive in the final third.

GK
PPM’s for the keeper – “simple short passes” and “stops or slows down play”

CB’s
Just want them both to play short passes into the playmaker Jorginho.
PPM’s – “simple short passes” and “stops or slows down play”
You may wish, if you have technically competent CB to allow them to run through the centre with the ball, as Koulibaly does for Napoli. I’ve trained Koulibaly to do this (he already has gets forward).

RB
The right back is less attack minded than the less back in the Napoli system, and hence has a support function. Has no offensive ambitions particularly. We just want him to push the ball inside.
PPM’s – “simple short passes” and “plays one-twos”.

LB-
The left back, Ghoulam, who I’ve now replaced with Grimaldo, for Napoli gets forward very often. In fact, the left-sided focus of the Napoli team, perhaps should mean you end up ticking the “exploit the left side” tactic option, and you could do this, although I’ve not had much joy in this game. But that could be because Ghoulam and Insigne are underrated by FM.
PPM’s – “gets forward whenever possible” “plays one-twos, and “plays simple short passes”

DLPD –
The DLP cannot have fewer risky passes, and that is ok because Jorginho has the PPM for simple passing game, but moreover, he has a great passing range anyway (probably longer than Busquets), and can often be found playing 20-30yard passes for Napoli.
PPM’s – “comes deep to get ball” “dictates tempo” “slow play down” “stays back at all times” “plays simple short passes”

CM(S)
A tricky position to get right. Where Allen plays this for Napoli he’s definitely not as deep as Jorginho, and doesn’t get forward as much as Hamsik. But i’m not convinced this is the right role, suggestions taken.
PPM’s – “plays one twos” “plays simple short passes”

CMA
The Hamsik role, characterised by a diverse game, he’s good at spotting a pass but also playing a short ball to keep possession, can take a shot from anywhere, and is good at keeping the ball in tight areas. Perhaps his defining feature would be his forward runs into the box and goalscoring ability (could also use B2B midfielder).
PPMs – “plays one-twos”, “gets forward whenever possible”, “arrives late in opponents area”, “moves into the channels”.

AM(right)
My first tweak to the Napoli tactic came with the signing of Bernardeschi, who’s especially strong on the right cutting in on his left foot.
PPM’s for an IF – “plays one-twos” “plays simple short passes” “cuts inside from the right flank” “places shots”

That said you can use Callejon also as a winger in this position, I often start one, then if it’s not working switch to the other, which is really effective. I think the download for the tactic starts with a Winger.
PPM’s for a Winger would be “knocks ball past opponent” “runs with ball down right” “gets into opposition area” “plays one twos”

AM(left)
Self explanatory.
For Napoli, Insigne is very influential, therefore I have given him PPM’s of “comes deep to get ball”, as well as “dictates tempo”. That said, when Mertens plays he gets more goals and assists, but we sacrifice that authenticity, I want play to go through Insigne. He’s under powered in the game to be honest. Insigne also has “gets into opposition area” “plays one-twos” and “cuts inside”.

it could even be worth training team cohesion permanently for the first two years, although you'll obviously mean that players won't develop as quickly. But this is not an exploit tactic, so there are realistic trade offs to be made. It does work under the right tactics, and some of the goals i scored with Napoli and fourth season Sunderland are incredible.

yeah i think this is a function of the tactic and signing new players. With Everton, i've had to overhaul the squad in the first 18 months, and in every game i've outplayed everyone, and lost a few games. Outplayed in terms of possession and shots.
I do believe this is because of signings made, because i signed very few for Napoli. And also i tried it for a 4th season team at Sunderland, with whom i'd only added one player over the summer, and we're unbeaten in the first 13 games. I think it relies on strong partnerships and cohesion.
The partnerships thing is influential but hidden in this version of the game, but i believe in FM2018 it's being made visible to you. But obviously signing 15 new players in 18 months is going to affect the way the tactic is played. The sweeper keeper attack, the high line and offside trap i think is particularly reliant on strong understandings between keeper and back 4.

if you set up your training to General Training as Balanced, with High intensity.
Then you have 3 bars of Match Traning of Attacking Movement you should be ok.
Yeah download the attacking version of the tactic, change the mentality to Overload and click Take more risks. Then at about 65 minutes change it if you want to go for a win, or if you are losing.

I'm having a lot of problems with replacing playing staff.
The tactic is too senstivive to new players, i guess any tactic that isn't an exploit is going to be like that.

davydoom.dk - there is download of the tactic on the wordpress.

i always use attacking movement for training. Have you tried using the attacking version of the tactic, with the overload mentality - that has got me out of a lot of scrapes. I just won EURO Cup, FA Cup, and Euro Super with Everton. Although finished 4th in league.
