Introduction and Recommendations
Welcome to my Chantelise Final Battle Guide. First off, how did you enjoy the game so far? Was it awesome? Yeah, you probably didn't enjoy the bosses either. That is understandable. You are probably stumped on the final part of the game...the final boss.

The final boss of the game contains three waves, which you must defeat in one run. Painful isn't it? I thought Final Fantasy 8 was bad enough with three waves of the final boss...

So without further ado, let's get started.

Here is what you need:
Patience. Lots and lots of patience.
Knowing how to easily do the "Dodge" technique. (It was introduced in the tutorial. Go brush up on that.)
Two Miracle Charms and One Hallowed Charm. (The final bosses will contain a lot of magic.)
One good shield. (I use Knight's Shield)
Powerful Glove items. (At least one White Gauntlet or Rocket Gloves. Recommended are one of each.)
Lots of HP (I recommend at least 500).
Completing the Story Mode stages up to the final boss (The Silhouette). (You don't wanna go through killing all the monsters all over again do you? I wouldn't.)
Winged Boots in order to get to the boss easily. (The item basically let's you "Dodge" in air and bypass enemies.)

Most of these items sound foreign to you doesn't it? If you don't have the ones mentioned, I recommend taking a look at this walkthrough for the Hidden Treasures.

Wave 1: The Silhouette
Recommended Equips for this Stage:
Two Charms
One Shield
One Glove

The battle is fairly simple, but the thing is we don't want our HP wasted during this cheap battle. How do we counteract this? Keep Aquamarine summoned (4 water crystals) while you defeat this boss so that it can continue healing you without worrying about casting it. Once it disappears, gather more water crystals and summon it again until the end. Another recommended summon is Sylphid (4 wind crystals) for its tornado attack when a second shadow pops up. Take notice of the HP bar on the figures (They are all shared). Once its low and your HP is short, take the time to heal up (with Aquamarine. You have to be busy dodging all those magic attacks they dish out at you.)

The boss is basically nearly immune to magic (Even with spirits and powerful magic, it still receives damages in 1s and 2s!), so you must attack it to dish out most of the damage. I would recommend just one glove since we'll be taking a lot of hits from the shadows (Both physical and magical damage).
Wave 2: The Archdevil
Recommended Equips for this Stage:
*You will be taking different equips during the battle.*
Three Charms
At least one glove. Two is recommended.

First off, Spirits won't work for you in battle, and you need a lot of patience on this wave. To make things easier, I'm gonna list the types of attacks for this guy:

Spiraling Fire (Fire that rotates around the stage)
Summon Bombs (Bomb monsters that appear in the stage)
Hammerball throws
Thunderball
Firewall to protect hands
Quake
Mini Blue Lasers
Giant Hand Lasers(Hands that stick together and fire a giant laser).

First off, how to defeat the guy? You summon a Spirit like you normally do (4 crystals of one type), and he is rendered defenseless and you are able to damage him. The thing is...you don't wanna do that while the hands are right by him, dishing all those moves do you? Over the course of the battle, damage the hands evenly or try to take down one hand. The recommended time is when you hear the bombs in the background explode (I'll get to that about the bombs.)

So for the overall course of the battle: dodge all magical attacks, especially that giant laser...it deals A TON of damage (dodge ability recommended right there). The mini blue lasers will be hard to dodge by running, so use the dodge ability when you're near. The hammerball throws and thunderball will sometimes get you even when your running, so make use of the dodge ability. Keep your distance from the boss during his spiraling fire attack and run away from the bombs that are coming at you. When the hands do its giant laser attack or pausing to go back to the center, give them a couple of hits (like seven) and continue running and dodging again. In the meantime for the dodging and running, try to pick up four one types or crystal, or three water crystals if you need to heal. Once you knock down one hand or two hands at the same time, use your spirit magic. Quickly, pause the game and replace one of your charms with another glove. Hit the boss like you mean it! Once the damage reduces to 0, hit pause again and replace the glove with a charm. Repeat the process patiently and safely as possible, no matter how long it takes.

Taking down half of his HP will make him turn red...the only increase is the speed of the spiraling fire. I recommend standing out of its range until it disappears, but not too far or your speed goes down, enabling the bombs to get closer to you.
Wave 3: The Coward
Recommended Equips for this Stage:
Three Charms
One Glove

...IT'S NOT OVER YET?! The second wave felt like final boss material! Yeah I know how you feel.

Anyways, hit all of Elma's attacks. Then Chante comes along. Okay that's over. Now onto strategy.

Only one glove is needed for this battle. The rest of the equips should be charms. If you are a tad bit over your half of hp, then you should be fine during this stage. If not, chances are you're f******.

Most of the time on the stage is focusing on dodging. Here, you will need patience once again. The boss will throw red balls at you and they deal a good amount of damage on each hit. With the equips range, I'd say about 23-35 damage. If you take more than 35 damage, I'd suggest to go get some stronger charms. He will also shoot lasers all over, which is easy to dodge so use that time to dish some attacks on him.

The strategy is simple yet tiring: Once Chante's green ball is on top, aim for the monster to hit him. He won't take much damage. Only do this when there is a pause of his attacks. Then repeat the process. Try to stay on the center when you can. I would run from center to side platform then center again to dodge attacks. Don't forget your Dodge technique!

That's it! Enjoy the short, yet sweet ending!

Easygamestation does those kinds of things where the fake you out. They do it in Recettear with some bosses where you'd think it is magical cuz it's a giant eye laser...but it's physical and Louie tanks it like a boss

Mine was done on a stream so I did a lot of trial and error, which is how I found out about the elemental shift based on the spirit use, which is why I used the water one since fire ups the attack by a lot. Finding out that the second stage magic and hits use both your Mdef and Pdef in the formula was helpful and finding out the 3rd stage's damage was based off Pdef made is laughably easy, just long. He only hit me for like 1-2 damage

@Ritnio it's ok! It's good to confirm another person's strategy. Everyone approaches challenges in different ways:)

.....I just now noticed I'm posting a lot...and about a strat on another guy's strat guide....I am SO sorry! I just get carried away when it comes to games I've beaten. I'm very very sorry for stealing the thunder

It should be noted as well that magic combos are useful to know. If you do a fire fire wind or fire wind fire (Same thing. HAS to be fire first) the wind will make an extra fireball. do the triple fire and ad a wind and you'll cover a whole line, adding fire extra makes it stronger...etc. I may have them wrong a tad, but check it out on the wiki! When I learned it, it made things so much easier

The second stage is where you'll get your ass beat a lot... I kept switching gear based on the sitch. Takes a while but it's a good idea. Magic def is almost key for that fight. FOR THE LAST STAGE.... Equip shields. Yes....Shields.... It goes off your physical def and not magical for whatever reason.... And before you say I'm dumb, that's what happens in the last video

She changes element and the most damaging (And easy to hit with) is the triple wind so it's always good to have that on the back burner and just throw 1-2 crystal magic at her until she grabs earth then let her have it!

Ok. So for the first stage, you need magic defense and physical. Magic less so if you do what I did, spamming the water summon. So I used the TH shield which is found naturally and you should have it since you got all the treasure. The Omnicharm...You fish for and has THE MOST Mdef which is why you only need it. And the Salamander shield was a personal thing because I had trouble with fire. The glove was to decimate the first stage asap. They aren't that tough physically.

I went fishing a lot, yes. Let me load up the game to tell you exactly what I have

@Ritnio You have a bunch of equipment I don't have. I found all the hidden treasures. Guess I gotta go fishing?
