Accessing the Setup Tool

Right click TRIII in your STEAM Game Library, click Launch Setup

Or open the windows folders and paste this into the top bar (depending on where you installed it).

Getting the right setup

1. Change your resolution to whatever fits you're playstyle, I prefer the same as my desktop resolution. Adjusting to a higher resolution may impact performance on older PCs.

2. If you aren't running standard PC speakers, you may lose sound after the intro movie and main menu. If this is the case, use the dropdown menu located at 2. to pick your sound device. If you are running optical like me you may get random jumbled up letters and numbers, but don't fret this option works.

- Zbuffer and other optional extras can be used at your discretion.

Optional: Improved graphics with Nvidia Control Panel

Nvidia make it so easy to improve the look of old games, it's fantastic!

If you're running a recent Nvidia graphics card, update yourself with the latest drivers and you'll have the control panel included. It will start whenever your computer does, and is always accessible from the taskbar in the lower right.

Click to open the Control Panel and navigate to the Manage 3D Settings menu located in the left bar. Click the tab marked "Program Settings" not global settings. Allow it half a minute to search your PC for game executables. Once the list has populated, you can click the dropdown menu and navigate to "Tomb Raider III: The Lost Artifact." If it's not there, you can add it by clicking the Add.. button the right and nagivating yourself to the games directory.

Changing the settings is as simple as clicking the one you want, and choosing a new option from it's dropdown menu. You can fiddle around to work out what works best for you or copy the settings I use below. These are the optimal settings for the best looking Tomb Raider experience.

Доброго дня. Кто-то знает как можно постоянно использовать TRIII setup без Steam?
Кстати есть патч или что-то вроде того. Много интересных возможностей. Но стоит заменить exe файл перестаёт работать геймпад + Software mode тоже исчезает. :(

There is a patch for Tomb Raider 1 that adds the soundtracks from ps1, for example the tune that plays when you find a secret, the suspenseful music that plays when an enemy jumpscares, and the TRex music. I thought there was a patch similar for Tomb Raider 3 but I cant find it.

A Brazilian player whose favourite TR is TR3 is remastering TR3. So far he's shown India and Pacific Islands, they look beautiful, with reflexes on water and other details. Lara's model and NPCs are improved too.

Is there any way I can play this in a window? Really want to stream it through SLOBS, but tried every single way to capture the screen but nothing works. Don't really fancy downloading anything from online as never know if it has any viruses on them.

@Ulthimas, you might have set the resolution too high, or chose the wrong sound device
