Jo'Bengal - Khajiit Follower with Player Home

Female players deserve to have a good looking Khajiit follower of their own! Thus I give you Jo'Bengal, a handsome Khajiit male with the features and coloring of an Asian Tiger. An exiled journalist from The Black Horse Courier (the Khajiit run newspaper from Oblivion), Jo'Bengal does his best to survive in the wilderness of Skyrim as a Spell-Sword. His lore friendly and comical back story can be found in a journal that you can read, once you have selected him as a companion.

Jo'Bengal is taller than a normal Khajiit male, standing 1.05, the same height as a Nord. In addition to being physically larger and more muscular than the other male Khajiits found in Skyrim, he is also better educated and speaks with the cadence of a courtly Imperial. A part-time student at the Arcane University in Cyrodiil, Jo'Bengal was paying for his studies by working at The Black Horse Courier... when suddenly things went very, VERY wrong for our hapless Khajiit.

Jo'Bengal now has a player home build into this mod. His player home is a small campsite made from a broken down wagon left over by his deceased traveling comapnion, Dolmyn. This campsite has a portable forge and anvil, enchanting table, tanning rack, two sleeping bags in the back, a horse the player can claim as his own, along with a chest filled with Dolmyn's adventure loot. You will also find a gravesite dedicated to Jo'Bengal's fallen friend. There is also a few secrets at this campsite so take nothing for granted.

I created a custom class for Jo'Bengal called "Khajiit Spellsword" which put greater emphasis on sneak and added in additional leveling options for Conjuration. I also increased his base speed from 100 to 120, so he can more easily keep up with the player.

Jo'Bengal will level with the player from Level 1 to Level 80 and is designed around long-term progression. Most followers in Skyrim will only advance to Level 40.

At Level 40 Jo'Bengal will have a Health = 440, Magicka = 245, Stamina = 50. He will have the following points in his primary skills: 72 One-Handed, 41 Two-Handed, 67 Heavy Armor, 77 Sneak, 41 Conjuration, 67 Destruction, 67 Restoration.

At Level 80 he will have a Health = 840, Magicka = 445, Stamina = 50. He will have the following points in his primary skills: 100 points in the skills One-Handed, Two-Handed, Heavy Armor, Sneaking, Conjuration, Destruction and Restoration.

When I built Jo'Bengal I had just watched the horror-comedy classic “Big Trouble in Little China” and decided to interject a lot more humor into Jo'Bengal's back story, going so far as to quote the film on several occasions. His lighthearted fish-out-of-water tale should be quite entertaining to the reader and his combat abilities should be well worth choosing him as a traveling companion.

Jo'Bengal is set as an essential character and cannot be killed. Unlike my other followers, Jo'Bengal is designed to level-up with the character from Level 1 all the way up to Level 80, making him ideal for long-term gaming.

He has the following perks: Quite Casting - Bladesman - Fighting Stance - Magic Resistance - Stealth.

His primary form of Melee combat is use of a scimitar used in the right-hand. He also wears steel Nordic armor and fights with a staff of Fire Bolts that he often uses in his left hand.

Adept at fire magic, Jo'Bengal has the following spells at his disposal:

- Flame Cloak
- Incinerate
- Conjure Flame Atronach
- Lesser Ward
- Steadfast Ward
- Greater Ward
- Healing
- Fast Healing
- Close Wounds
- Grand Healing

As a Spell-Sword Jo'Bengal is equally adept at both destruction magic and one-handed weapons, heavy armor and is designed to resist magical attacks, making him the perfect jack-of-all-trades for players who want a follower who has maximum flexibility and adaptability in game-play.

You can find Jo'Bengal at GULDUN ROCK, east of Whiterun on the same road that leads to Eastmarch and Riften.

To any and all running Hearthfire, who want to use this mod and marry this character --- there is a glitch in Bethesda (not my mod), that causes major problems when switching houses.
