The Types of Wolves You'll Meet in RP
By stardoopy
Through out my "years of experience" in different roleplays, I've started to notice the different "types" of chracters that you can see in common servers. This short guide isnt to make fun of people's wolves, but more to show new and old players who to expect and sometimes avoid.

UPDATE 10/14/2022 -- wow! This guide is 5 years old now! I didn't even realize this was the exact same day i first posted this guide LOL! Thank you so much for all the support on this, Im really glad people enjoyed this silly little guide. Anyways, this isn't going to be updated any more -- I've made some very minor edits and fixed spelling mistakes, but I don't really plan on adding any more or remaking everything... plus its sort of funny seeing the way I talked when I was 14 or so :)
Hopefully I'll be able to RP with you all in the future on the Anniversary Edition! Thanks ^_^

Introduction
Experienced roleplayers can agree that there are many similar types of charaters you can find during WQ roleplays. It all varys from wolf to wolf, server to server and account to account. This guide is to explain different characters I've commonly found during roleplays and a few tips on what characters are typically unenjoyable for other players.

Let's jump in, shall we~
The good, The bad and the Ugly
Now there really isnt a "good, bad and ugly" but i felt it was a reference too good to pass up :)

Adventurous Wolves:
these can often be found during many different rps. they enjoy a bit of risk and wandering, unafraid to add a bit of drama into the RP. These wolves tend to forward the plot, usually interacting with those outside of the pack or finding something of interest to make into a story.

how DARE YOU TALK BACK TO ME
Snarky, no nonsense wolves are also pretty common. With a strong fist(paw?) they often make good leaders or troublesome wolves to be around. Be sure not to upset them to much!!

...
Quiet wolves are a bit less common. They tend to keep themselves or follow after the others. Quiet wolves often make good medics, hunters, scouts and sometimes omegas. I sometimes play my main wolf, Fritz, as a quiet wolf.

hehehe...HAHAHA
"evil" wolves are slightly more common nowadays. They can be pretty rude and often disliked by other pack members, but hey, it's not like they're PLANNING for something or anything... If you've decided to make your wolf antagonistic, be sure that you're not overdoing it. Sometimes being the most evil at all times isnt that enjoyable of a character to work with.

You too, Cheeto puff
mmmm, Jokester wolves. They have a good sense of humor and will take opportunities to lighten the mood, but be careful! Too many jokes may be seen as annoying and others may try and steer clear for a bit.

|swift|ambitious|ATTRACTIVE|ex...
There's always that one wolf who puts 'Attractive' in their desc. These wolves are sometimes flirty and a bit cocky, they'll let it be known that you're uglier than them before even rping!

maybe a cannibal??
Cannibal wolves are uncommon, but hey, they exist! Not to be confused with Evil wolves, They are a bit more suspicious and might pick on weaker wolves, waiting to corner them and... Like any RP, a general rule of thumb is to either pretend there's a random wolf to kill or get permission to kill off someone's character. If someone's planning on logging off soon, it might be a good idea to ask them if thats how they want to go out!

hey, hey! HEY
Playful wolves, aww. They love attention from others and tend to lighten the mood, however they can be troublesome an may sneak off looking for fun. Be sure to keep an eye on them in your PackvsPack server!

*sigh* <3
ahhh yes, hopeless romantics. They often seek for others in hopes of finding a mate, they try and be flirty or at least likeable for their potential mate. Be careful though, they're sometimes not-rpers and will just run to random wolves asking "are you male/female?" in hopes on getting in that little wolfy-heart of yours.

HUNT! HUNT!
Often not rpers, Hunting wolves will do nothing but hunt and may not contribute at all. You may have to ask them to leave, since to many carcasses can affect other players gameplay. They'll probably leave once bored so dont bother wasting your kicks. These are acceptable for EXPhunting servers tho!!

MUTT!
Angry, ANGRY wolves. Often found in PvPs, They try to keep you inline and on our side. They'll taunt and try to make you look bad, or maybe they want to tear you apart, who knows. Be sure if you're playing aggressively that you arent completely ruining other people's times. No one wants the RP to be soured!

He felt the wolf's femur crash into his sternum
Overly literate wolves are a rarity and can be almost more difficult to understand that non-literates. Using their knowledge of specific body parts, they'll confuse you to no ends on hat they're even talking about, unless your one of them of course!! Be sure that you're using language that everyone can understand -- not everyone has a college degree!

Characterless
Common with non-literates are characterless wolves. The put generic descs like "Luna, Nice, pretty, fast," (also commonly named luna, would you take a look at that) they dont have any real character and are all over the place. They dont really rp but they'll sometimes say thing to ya.

Isn't that just another word for being "bummed out"?
Depressed wolves seem to have become popular. I've actually found myself guilty of doing this sometimes with Fritz, but it depends on what my mood is irl and what's going on in rp. *Please don't base your characters entirely around a mental disorder as it's not realistic of people who have those issues*

What's an Alpha compare to a KING?
Ah yes, the wolves who think they're better than everyone else. These wolves are annoying but they don't seem to realize it. They'll always insist that they are right, and everyone else is wrong. They become upset when degraded so it's best to treat them with "respect" in order to keep them in line.

I-Im W-worthless...!
Overly anxious and stuttering wolves. They usually have something going on or some sort of trauma. It's alright to have an extremely anxious character but try to avoid overly stuttering as not only can it be annoying but it also makes it difficult to read.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Now these arent the only kinds that there are, but these are the ones i see more often. I reccomend staying away from being Characterless, Overly-literate and Just-hunters!!

What kind of wolf are you, or what kinds have you seen that arent on the list?

My wolf Riddle is literally just: A rock in his own corner of the universe. Never talks to anyone, and prefers to hide away somewhere. No clue where he'd fit in on this scale thingy.

This was interesting to read, I have nothing to do and have no idea what games to play right now, so thank you for making this! Very informative! I am a good RPer, but sometimes I get a bit to silly and mess a few things up... (awkward laugh).

:Sunset my main, is a murderous, sometimes cannibalistic She-wolf, and she has always either been, 'Reserved and quiet' or 'Angry and prone to outbursts' (sometimes she's also the traitor who kills pack Alpha): :Happy_Pup::Snarling_Wolf:

Also thank you for all the comments on this! Its a shame there's no reply function because I enjoyed reading what everyone had to say about their characters! I probably wont see the comments anymore but I'm not planning on disabling them so feel free to keep commenting if you'd like!
