The Cyclum Puzzles are a set of comic panels that explain the gap between the events of Maxwell's freedom and the events of Don't Starve Together. Reaching the last step of the puzzle would reward players with the Tragic Torch cosmetic Skin for use in Don't Starve Together. For the purposes of saving a participant's progress and rewarding them with the torch, it is required for the user to log into Steam to advance the puzzle.

VIDEO

In the page, you'll see a video :

Year ago, it was a secter video, now, it's on a Klei's channel.
Cyclum Story
The story was split into 4 pages plus a secret video. It starts with Maxwell falling out of a portal and being dropped into his own world. After recovering from his fall, a Spider approaches him with aggressive intent. Maxwell raises his hand to attack the spider using shadow magic, but nothing happens. Realizing he lost his powers after being freed, Maxwell flees from packs of Hounds and spiders.

After escaping, Maxwell experiences the effects of Insanity and is surrounded by Shadow Creatures, to which he then puts a Garland on his head to drive them away. As nightfall approaches, Maxwell notices a bright light and smoke in the distance and begins to walk towards it to escape the dangers of darkness. As he approaches, he discovers Wilson eating a carrot he just finished roasting in a fire pit while hiding behind berry bushes. Wilson is startled from the sound of Maxwell stepping on a stick and grabs his axe to go and investigate.

When Wilson realizes it was Maxwell sneaking into his camp, he drops his axe and rolls up his sleeves to personally confront Maxwell with his fists. While the both of them are distracted from fighting, a night hand appears from the darkness and extinguishes the fire protecting Wilson and Maxwell from the darkness. After seeing this they both stop fighting and rush to re-fuel the fire pit just in time to escape the impending darkness. When they recovered, Wilson and Maxwell look at each other realizing they're both in the same position and must deal with each other to survive.

Wilson and Maxwell survive together for several days, seemingly doing nothing other than staring at each other near their fire pit. Wilson notices Maxwell grabbing his stomach out of starvation, so he cooks up a Kabob and offers it to Maxwell, much to his surprise Wilson would give him food.

That night Wilson and Maxwell begin to talk to each other about the current situation. Wilson asks Maxwell how he is still alive after witnessing him turn into a skeleton and fade away after being freed from the Nightmare Throne. Shrugging the question off, Maxwell then asks Wilson why he isn't trapped on the Nightmare Throne. Maxwell glares at Wilson for an explanation, to which Wilson then tells his story.

After Wilson explained how he was sent him back to the islands after being freed by Charlie, Maxwell lurks through Wilson's chest storage the following morning and finds a blueprint, to which Wilson snatches away from Maxwell. Maxwell then pulls out the Codex Umbra, showing his own blueprints within the book.

Wilson and Maxwell spend the next day working together to build the contraption, the final product of which is the Jury-Rigged Portal. After a familiar situation where Maxwell tells Wilson to pull the lever on the portal, it activates and becomes operational. As Wendy, Wolfgang and Wes emerge from the portal, rose bushes suddenly erupt form the ground, tearing down the portal and replacing it with the Florid Postern. A faint image of Charlie is seen in the sky by everyone.
Metheus Info
BASIC INFO

The Metheus Puzzles are ARG puzzles, in the same fashion as the Cyclum or William Carter Puzzles. Signing in through Steam will begin the puzzle. If the user has not completed the Cyclum puzzle and obtained a Tragic Torch, they will be unable to see the puzzle due to the darkness, and won't be able to begin. Cyclum can be completed to gain the torch and begin the puzzle.

HOW THE PUZZLE WAS FOUND

With the release of the free A New Reign expansion, comes more puzzles and mysteries from Klei.
The Fuelweaver's 3rd form, fightable in the Atrium, has a string of quote that said "Metheus..."

Klei posted the release trailer of the A New Reign free expansion:

And it had some moments where hidden images could be seen i one paused at the right time before/after/in the middle of transitions.

The first one :

That seemed to depict weird symbol, maybe even a language, and the community already started to theorize. Some people linked the some of the symbols to older William Carter/Maxwell puzzles.

The Second one :

REWARD FOR SOLVING METHEUS:

Ancient King's Chest

Ancient Cane
Metheus Solving
BASICS

You need to go HERE[metheus.dontstarvetogether.com]
Then you need to log in with your steam account.

STEP 1

In the bottom left of the screen is a tablet on a stand. Clicking the tablet enlarges it, allowing the user to access it. Along the top are a line of black symbols and a second line of gold symbols below it. On the bottom left and right side are buttons with the symbols randomly distributed across them, which change if the tablet is closed and opened again.

To solve the puzzle, as well as every other puzzle afterwards, two players are required. The players need to copy opposing sets of the other's symbols (For example, player 1 copies player 2's gold symbols and Player 2 copies Player 1's black symbols, or vice versa). After each players' symbols have been copied, they can then click the blue symbol in the center. If both players are correct, the tiles around the center symbol will glow gold and purple, showing the two accounts have been successfully synced. The page will then refresh, revealing the right side of the obelisk and a second tablet, allowing both players access to the second part of the puzzle.

STEP 2

The second puzzle is activated by clicking on the second tablet in the newly lit right side of the screen. One player's tablet will show tile squares with different numbers and positions of notches on their sides and a string of black symbols at the top, while the other's will show the opposite. In total, there are 32 symbols and 13 tiles. One partner will get the symbols and the other will get the tiles.

In comparison to the first puzzle, the second puzzle is undoubtedly harder. Players will again have to share the code found on the top of the tablet. Each tile and symbol have a certain place in the 3x2 grid below each player's set. Players need to place the tiles and symbols in their grids in the same location as each other. When a symbol and tile in unison are placed in the correct location, a dot above the button at the bottom will glow, with more glowing the more correct places are found. Completing the puzzle is just a matter of switching the symbols and tiles that are in unison and submitting the answer in a cohesive fashion. When the players get all the tile placements correct, indicated by all 6 dots glowing, the button will begin to glow gold.

Players have a limited number of times that they can submit guesses of tile and symbol placements, so it is recommended to follow the binary method.

STEP 3

The final part of the puzzle is in the game. Next to the Ancient Pseudoscience Station is the Ancient Chest. Opening it will bring up a 6-slots inventory similar to the spaces for placing tiles and symbols from the second part of the puzzle.
You can just spawn chest with this command : "sacred_chest".

Each of the second puzzle's symbols represent an item required and each tile represents a stack amount. Players need to place the correct number of items in the correct order in the chest. The symbols and corresponding items along with the amounts represented by the tiles can be found here :

Example:

The two partners solving the previous parts must be close to the chest. Once items are placed in the correct order, the chest will shake and an announcement will show at the top of the screen saying "Your presence has been noticed", and grant the players two special skins as a reward.

Returning to the original Metheus web page will bring up a new background to the puzzle area. Clicking on the new background will activate a short clip that is suggestive to the game's lore :

GOOD JOB!

If you've done it correctly, you'll get your reward after restartingt the game.

You haave to click the button every time you put in a single piece. So, if there are 16 pieces to put in, you have to check if it's correct by clicking the button after putting in every single one. (1st piece, 1st button checking, 2nd piece, 2nd button checking)

Question: for the second part of the metheus puzzle, do you have to click the button to check the answer or do the tiles just have to be in the correct place?
