Introduction
So you just completed BlazBlue: Central Fiction's storyline, and your eyes are probably fountains. Or maybe they're not. Maybe you're confused. Maybe you're angry. Whichever emotion it is, here's the gist of what happened to conclude the game's story, and the tale of Ragna the Bloodedge.

This is Central Fiction for Dummies, basically.
The plot in a nutshell: Volume 1
After the events of Chronophantasma, Izanami, the Goddess of Death, created the "Embryo", a sort of false copy of the game's world, which she flung all the playable characters into as the original world created by the Master Unit: Amaterasu, was destroyed.

If you didn't play Chronophantasma, I pity you. You are going to be so lost.

Here we go...

Most of the cast has had their memories scrambled, and the entire start of the story feels like a retread of Calamity Trigger. This whole Kagutsuchi brouhaha is monitered by Nine of the Six Heroes, who has come back for revenge on not just Terumi, but the world. She reveals her coup de grace for the world; defeat Izanami and obtain the Azure to get your desired world.

But this is just for people considered "chosen", which include the entire cast sans Ragna and Litchi. Litchi is invited to this because Lao Jiu has a piece of Roy Carmine's soul, as her little ticket to this whole wild ride. When Ragna reaches Izanami, she does a thing that flings him off the place where Amaterasu is. Now the new goal for the chosen is not to kill Izanami, but Noel. Kagura and Kokonoe secure Noel though before anything can get too hectic, and Ragna, alonside Jin, Noel, Celica, Rachel, Kagura, Kokonoe, Tsubaki, Hakumen, Tager, and Lambda, form a merry little band of misfits to help fix everything.

Meanwhile some closures on other characters are explained in sub stories. Carl begins to become more like Relius, and eventually peers into the Boundary to see what his father could see, gets a mass injury to his left eye, but in turn gains all of his father's knowledge and more. Relius peaces out into the Boundary leaving his son as a Tyke Bomb for the existing world. Arakune is revealed to not be Roy/Lotte Carmine, but a vessel for Roy's soul, which is still in the Boundary. Arakune wants to collect all the Nox so he can become a Black Beast, and when berserk Arakune eats Litchi, she gets a chance to talk to Roy, who decides "nah I don't need saving I want to research the world from the boundary, oh by the way destroy my vessel." Bang decides to destroy Arakune once and for all as per Litchi's request.

Bullet reconciles with Tager when she finds out he's her missing captain. Amane does some Observer ♥♥♥♥ and revives Takamagahara since he's Rachel's successor. Naoto Kurogane is lost and ends up being significant to the plot somehow. Hibiki does ♥♥♥♥ all, and his hidden desires to kill Kagura are not explored at all in the story. Finally, Trinity, residing within Jin's sword, guides him to help fix Luna and Sena so their shared body doesn't fade away out of existence. Platinum then becomes important to the plot as she can materialize a MacGuffin capable of killing Terumi once and for all. Terumi graverobs Rachel's dead dad however and finds the same MacGuffin because he has other plans.
The plot in a nutshell: Volume 2
But back to the merry band of misfits who drive the plot forward. They find out that Nine built an 11th Nox to replace the Master Unit which looks like the human thingy inside of Takemikazuchi. It's hidden in a secret workshop of hers that might as well give off True Lab from Undertale vibes as the stage itself is an eerie lab with a big destruction thing in it. Nine wants to use this Nox to destroy the current world and build a new one where her and Celica can live happily because she's self aware of all the times history has repeated itself, and is sick of all the Dark Wars she's seen, people she's seen die, and all the times she had to relive Celica's death.

So Nine is pretty much the least of the three evils you'll face in this game, and her Woobie levels are off the charts.

She gets mortally wounded by Ragna and is pretty much going to die, but not without reconciling with her family and Ragna. But then Izanami shows up and does Izanami things, and Nine uses her soul to activate Requiem in an attempt to stop Izanami and the Master Unit. This causes a time freeze where Requiem will probably explode and doom the world anyway, so in this, Ragna and company go to the location of Celica's old church, which in this fake world, is still standing.

After having some nostalgia trips, it's there that Noel meets with Mu-12, who was cast away by Noel in the beginning of the game as memories she wanted to forget. The two fuse, and Noel's memories are regained. She also offers the idea of doing this sort of thing with Izanami to "save" her. Ragna, Jin, and Noel have a few moments here, remembering things from their past, and when they're all ready to return to Kokonoe, something truly heartbreaking happens.

Celica, merely being a copy with a limited time on this earth, disappears.

After Celica has "gone home", as Ragna states to Kokonoe, the plan is set in action. The goal is this; They will head into an Embryo within the Embryo, Minerva can be used to destroy Requiem, and they also have to find and defeat Izanami and find where in the world she's hiding. The split up teams become Ragna, Noel, and Minerva (we'll call them Team Ragna), Kagura and Jin (Team Jin), and Hakumen and Tsubaki (Team Justice). Kokonoe drops them all into the Embryo which scatters them into another copy of their world but with slightly jumbled geographies. Kokonoe also drops a fourth squad, consisting of Makoto and Naoto (Team Other Guys), as "insurance," which actually means "We have Noel and Tsubaki on this important mission so let's throw Makoto in as well also PLEASE READ BLOODEDGE EXPERIENCE" (P.S. you really don't have to) Then they go to find Izanami.

Team Jin is stopped suddenly by Azrael, who they promplty defeat and seal away for good. Then Kagura vanishes into seithr for some reason. The same thing happens to Makoto, which is revealed by Little Miss X-Blaze (ahem, I mean Es) that they lost their "qualification" and have been "backed up" by her (sadly Es does not delete Kagura's backup). Meanwhile, Hazama is doing Hazama things to Rachel trying to see if it's possible for her to die. Team Ragna finds the jolly green jackass and Ragna almost Black Beasts, which would ♥♥♥♥ up the mission. Then Naoto suddenly jumps in to be important to the plot, fights Ragna to chill him the ♥♥♥♥ out and release Rachel from her magic bindings, then peaces out back to his world, having fulfilled his plot duties. Hazama decides "lol bye" and jumps into the Boundary as well. Team Ragna eventually does find Izanami and Noel, as Mu, assimilates her with the help of Ragna's Idea Engine, and Saya is mostly whole again.

Team Justice encounters Terumi I think and he uses Plot MacGuffin A to beef up his snake and he kills Hakumen with it, ripping Jin's soul out of it because the MacGuffin can do that. Terumi then takes the empty Susano'o unit and fuses with it, becoming what he originally was, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ furry...er...I mean the original Susano'o. Terumi then peaces out with Noel to the Azure gate, so that he can open it and obtain the True BlazBlue or something. This leaves the remaining members of Team Ragna, Team Jin, and Team Justice to finish the job, since Team Other Guys is no more.

Susano'o and Es fight, and Es jobs hard. Ragna and Jin show up, since Tsubaki is left behind to care for Jubei and Rachel. Kokonoe gets seithr'd and backed up by Es as well. This just leaves Ragna and Jin to fight Terumi. Oh, and Trinity is there too.

When Ragna and Susano'o fight, he uses the power of everyone's "dreams" he absorbed (oh yeah Ragna basically went on an Azure buffet before Izanami got assimilated) to pull Terumi out of the Susano'o Unit. Then Jin becomes Hakumen for a bit and uses Plot MacGuffin B (the one Platinum made) to make a sword and cut through Ragna and Terumi. This flings them into the gate, and then Terumi and Ragna have one final battle amidst the Azure itself.

Ragna Black Beasts Terumi and Terumi is gone for good. Now Amaterasu has reappeared and everything's good now; yay! Except not really. Noel still has to assimilate the girl in the unit to regain all of her memories. She walks in there with her brothers, completely buck naked, and does a thing. Now she's truly whole again as Saya, but says she still wants to be called Noel.
The plot in a nutshell: Volume 3
Now that Ragna's reunited with his siblings, all should be well, right? Wrong. Ragna is still going to Black Beast, and decides he has to "end Saya's dream." Basically, Ragna's idea is to take the place of the girl in the Master Unit, and become the new overseer of the world. Jin and Noel don't like this idea, so Ragna fights them one last time before saying goodbye. Before entering the unit, Ragna has one last meeting with Amane, who sends him off well. Ragna enters the unit, Amaterasu is sent back into the Boundary, and the world begins anew. Trinity also sends the Susanoo Unit back into the depts of the Boundary where it belongs. Also all the seithr-fied characters are okay now. We're treated to a beautiful epilogue animation which details the lives of those still active in this world.

- Noel and Lambda become Sisters at a church, perhaps Noel is taking after her foster mother. Tsubaki and Makoto relay an offer from Kagura for Noel to join the now reformed NOL, but she declines. They're also taking care of Nu, who's practically a vegetable because A. she got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by Hakumen and B. the one purpose in her life is off floating in a flying god machine.
- Also, Lambda, despite being a Saya clone is state to be able to make normal food for once.
- Homura, Tenjo's son, takes his rightful place as the NOL's Imperator. Kagura and Hibiki are seen guarding him, and Jin later arrives, meaning he's with the New NOL.
- Bang is seen before the ruins of his homeland, and his massive amount of ninja followers. He then lets out a rallying cry to Make Ikaruga Great Again.
- Amane is with his dance troupe, he's probably still an Onlooker, but he's off doing Amane things.
- Carl is investigating cauldrons. He now has a mask much like Relius, but it's only half and it covers the eye that got pierced by the Boundary.
- Litchi, having cleaned herself of her past with Arakune/Roy, returns to Orient Town with Mai, Platinum, and Kajun in tow. It's not clear, but I'd assume Platinum has joined helping Litchi at her clinic and is making friends with Linhua. Jubei is also seen, smiling at this new friendship.
- Wait, no. I just got an update on this; Litchi adopted Platinum and is now her new foster mother. Heartwarming. As. Hell.
- And speaking of cats, everyone's favorite ♥♥♥♥ returns to her village only to get tackleglomped by the kawaii chibi-♥♥♥♥ kittens! owo nya! ;3
- Tager is seen reporting to Kokonoe about something Sector Seven related, and is seen with an old friend. That old friend is Bullet, his former subordinate, who has joined up with Sector 7, hotpantsu and all.
- Kokonoe is talking to Tager in her lab, but she takes a look to observe a frozen chamber marked "AZRAEL".
- Es returns to doing Es things, that is guarding the Gate.
- Naoto falls from the sky into a pile of trash and is greeted by the girl he was looking for, meaning he's returned to his world.
- Valkenhayn is pouring tea, waiting patiently for Rachel to return, while Nago and Gii look on with worry.
- Rachel is standing before a grave marked with Ragna's sword for a "possiblity" she can't recall, but believes in. Someone wielding Okami with a red ponytail is seen talking to her, stating they're fulfilling a promise to her. Rachel reveals they're an alternate Tsubaki who is implied to have taken up Hakumen's role. Rachel ties one of her ribbons on the grave and departs, promising to find the "possiblity" she once cherished.
-...oh, and then Ragna gets graverobbed by someone. His sword and Rachel's ribbon goes missing, and there's setup for another game.

So what's next?
We dunno what the heck Mori has planned for this series. This isn't meant to be the end of BlazBlue, but of Ragna's story in general. We also know that now this story is done, Mori is able to make BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, where Ragna and friends will fight against Persona 4 and Under Night In-Birth characters, as well featuring Ruby Rose from the RWBY series.

Lots of people are speculating a future game will take an RPG turn like Guilty Gear 2: Overture since BB was intended to be one, or that future games will involve the offspring of speculated official couples. Speaking of, Mori wanted to do an extra thing with Jin and Tsubaki, but canned it because he feels it's pretty obvious they're just about ready to tie the knot.

Also sorry LitchiXBang shippers, they're remaining just friends it seems.

Also I keep hearing something about a potential "Alpha-01".
Conclusion
Have an "F" for if your favorite character/main got killed in the story. I know one of mine did. (RIP Susanoo)

Noel fuses with Mu, and then She offers the idea of doing this sort of thing with Izanami to "save" her. Izanami in away isn't really dead just a piece of Saya that went back to Saya, but yes she's inactive as Izanami not dead though.

I know Alternative Dark War is just a mobile gacha game, but it is shown that Nu eventually recovered. But she discarded her murakumo and only kept one of the blade.

Now she looks like [blazblue.wiki] this [blazblue.wiki]
