How to save your gamefile (OLD)

This guide will teach you how to save your gamefile and how it works. If you lost your savefile, you can put your savefile in.

How to save your progress

Step 1:

First of all, go to your folder and find "This PC" without the ". You will see two drives, you want to click on the first one.

Step 2:

After you clicked your first drive, find and press "Program Files (86x)" without the ". Then find "Steam" and click it. Then find "userdata" and click on it

Step 3:

After you clicked on userdata, you will find numbers. There will be multiple of them if you log in multiple acccounts. Clicked one of the savefile that you play on dead by daylight

Step 4:

Click 381210, remote, and ProfileSaves. (Ignore the copy, I was confused how to do it Xd)

Step 5:

Copy the file inside ProfileSaves and copypaste it anywhere that you will remember

How to put your progress into your savefile

If you did lost your progress, copy your savefile and put back into ProfileSaves.

Recovering it

You left-click Dead by Daylight, click properties, go to updates and uncheck steam cloud, and then log-off steam. Log-on to steam again and you will have your progress back. Keep in mind that KB is your progress, if it's a low number, you still have your progress lost. If it's higher than the lower number, it means that your progress is back.

This is old, some idiot bumped this from commenting on it. Save games are now saved on their own server and cannot be backed up.
