I went through the "trouble" of recording achievement run videos for each chapter. Below each video you can find links with time stamps that will take you directly to the part of the video you are interested in. Obviously this does not work for "collectables" achievements.

Alchoholic I - V
Consumed all the substance flasks in chapter I, II, III, IV, V

Where: One achievement in each chapter.
What: Interact with all the small vial-refilling flasks that are available in the corresponding chapter.

Here is the amount of flasks you need to consume for each chapter. Note that the large refill flasks do not count towards this achievement.
  • Chapter 1: 18
  • Chapter 2: 32
  • Chapter 3: 43
  • Chapter 4: 29
  • Chapter 5: 20
The following map indicates the position of all flasks on the in-game map. Please note that
  • positions for chapters 1, 2 and 5 may be difficult to read because locations are in different heights, e.g. the descent/ascent in chapter 1 and the tree houses in chapter 2;
  • the 6 flasks in the crystal mines of chapter 3 are not displayed with respect to their position because the map does not depict the layout of the mines; 1 flasks is hidden in the basement!
  • the cathedral with the amber beds that you first access in chapter 3 only contains 1 flask when you return in chapter 5;
  • the 9 remaining flasks of chapter 5 are in the area behind the Skull door of the amber bed cathedral: 1 in the 'labyrinth', 2 in the room with the Memory Marker, and the remaining 6 flasks are in the laboratory of the Warden of Death.

Clever, girl!
Solved the Water basins puzzle

Where: Chapter 3.
What: Fill the large rear water basin with four units of liquid.

The Water basins puzzle is indicated on the map with the achievment symbol. It is in the east of the valley and looks like this:

Use these steps when all liquid is in the rear basin to fill the rear basin with only four units:
  1. 8 -> 5
  2. 5 -> 3
  3. 3 -> 8
  4. 5 -> 3
  5. 8 -> 5
  6. 5 -> 3

Discovered the story of the past
Activated all of the ancient memory markers

Where: Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 5.
What: Activate all nine Memory Markers throughout the game. Memory Markers are the pedestals that display story parts when equipped with the vial.

It should be noted that, as far as I can tell, a Memory Marker only counts as activated once the animation sequence has been played all through to the end. You basically cannot miss them but for completeness sake, these are screenshots of all Memory Markers:
Chapter 1: 1 Memory Marker
Chapter 2: 2 Memory Markers
Chapter 3: 3 Memory Markers

Herbivore II - V
Consumed all the flowers in chapter II, III, IV, V

Where: One achievement in each chapter except chapter 1.
What: Interact with all healing flowers that are available in the corresponding chapter.

Here is the amount of flowers you need to consume for each chapter. On that note, the large rectangular flower pots, which contain three flowers, count as three flowers below.
  • Chapter 2: 13
  • Chapter 3: 49
  • Chapter 4: 67
  • Chapter 5: 10
The following map indicates the position of all flowers on the in-game map. Please note that
  • large flower pots with three flowers are depicted with a star symbol;
  • the 5 flowers in the crystal mines of chapter 3 are not displayed with respect to their position because the map does not depict the layout of the mines;
  • positions for chapter 5 may be difficult to read because locations are in different heights;
  • the 3 remaining flowers of chapter 5 are in the area behind the Skull door of the amber bed cathedral: 1 in the entry area, 1 in the 'labyrinth', and the remaining 1 is in the laboratory of the Warden of Death.

  • Chapter 3: 54
  • Chapter 4: 5
  • Chapter 5:
The following map indicates the position of all lamps on the in-game map. Please note that
  • positions for chapter 2 may be difficult to read because locations are in different heights;
  • all 15 braziers in chapter 5 are situated in the area behind the Skull door of the amber bed cathedral - make sure to light all of them before you grab the sigil of the Hunter from the dead Warden of Death.

No Stone Left Unturned
Solved the Stone Pillars

Where: Chapter 3
What: Adjust each of the five pillars so that there is a continuous line from the top of the pillar to the bottom amber line that moves towards the center of the puzzle area.

This puzzle is easier to solve than it looks because the four outer pillars all have the same line patterns and shapes. Here is a screenshot of how the top-to-bottom connection on each of those four pillars has to look:

Ultimate Survival
Did not succumb to the darkness of the world

Where: Chapters 3 and 4
What: Do not get caught even once by the black apparition that guards the forest in chapter 3 and the lost village in chapter 4.

Note that the achievement will only unlock at the end of the game if you managed to not get caught for an entire game session. Therefore,
  • you cannot use the Chapters function when trying to unlock this achievement, and
  • it is possible to go back to a previous save game if you did get caught.
In case you have not noticed yet, you can always run from your persecutor once he has locked on to you. The safest way to get rid of him is by entering an area that is illuminated by stone steles that emit a mysterious blue light. You can find them in chapter 3 around the monument to the west of the market. Chapter 4 has five such locations as indicated in the map.

To "activate" these steles simply light up the blue minerals in the center of each such area.

Also, there are other areas in chapter 3 that the black apparition cannot enter: everything north of the market, and everything east of the bridges. So if you do not have enough juice to light the steles, just try and get to those ares.
Warden of Ezrat Qin
You are a true protector of Ez'rat Qin

Where: Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
What: Get all other achievements of the game.
Wet Warden
Swept away by the waterfall

Where: Chapter 2 or 3
What: Jump into the river and get swept away down a waterfall.

The first location to get this achievement is right at the start of chapter 2 when you exit the cave. Jump into the water here:

Make sure to save before trying to unlock this achievement ;)

This is how guides should be done, especially for collectibles. I HATE games that do not include options in the menu to show collectibles on a map or at least counts.

great work!!!thx 4 the guide and your time.

Great guide, thank you! :)

this guide was SO helpful in getting all the achievements!! i don't think i could have found all the flasks, plants, and lanterns by myself. this was so well put together, you deserve that MVP spot on the credits there. thank you for all your work!!

i did want to mention re: ultimate survival, i ended up getting the achievement without having to start all over? i ended up just replaying chapter five because i wanted to quickly see the other ending before i went on a run just for the collecting achievements, and it gave me the ultimate survival achievement anyway? dunno if anyone else has done that.

@Innocentive I figured a one line addendum to this guide (not the video) in the Video section isn't much of an ask but understandable. Hopefully whoever sees this guide reads all the way or sees the comments.

@SmokeMastaP lucky lol
Innocentive  [author] May 10, 2023 @ 9:51am
@RVK: Your suggestion is good but I hesitate to amend this guide more than five years after creation.
SmokeMastaP May 10, 2023 @ 9:12am
@RVK: I got caught several times in my first play through and I got the achievement anyway. xD
To this day I don't know why but I don't complain.
RVK May 8, 2023 @ 12:50pm
If you don't mind my suggestion, please mention in the guide that you should try to avoid getting caught by the apparition in the video section right before he appears, can't remember the chapter. I wasn't aware I wasn't supposed to get caught till I got to the end of the game and scrolled down the guide to see what I was missing only to find that the Ultimate Survival section near the bottom says you're not supposed to get caught which was a bit too late.
Innocentive  [author] May 6, 2023 @ 4:00pm
Much appreciated, RVK! Glad you like it.
