Friday The 13th How to play Jason(Tips & Tricks)

This guide will make you a better jason player(even though this game is slowly dying) and will also teach you a few tips and tricks.So enjoy.

What Jason Should You Pick?

There are a total of 7 Jasons to pick from including Savini Jason which most people dont have.It is all up to your play style of which Jason you should pick.
Part 2 Jason biggest strength is traps.He can put multiple traps at each objective and still have some left.He is the type of Jason to stop all objectives and wait everyone out.His biggest weakness is Shift and Water Speed.Unlocks at LvL 13
Part 3 Jason is one the really bad Jasons.He is a starter Jason and the only good thing about him is weapon strength and thats a bit cheesy.Unlocks when you start the game.
Part 6 Jason is in my opinion the best Jason(besides Savini).All of his Strengths are really good except Sense but his only major weakness is Morph.His weapon also gives him extra reach.Unlocks at LvL 3.
Part 7 Jason is the worst Jason in the game.He has a weakness in traps and shift which is important.His only good strength is Water Speed but Part 8 Jason does it better.Unlocks at LvL 7(How Ironic Devs)
Part 8 Jason is one of the best Jasons probably on par with Part 6.His weaknesses dont affect him that much but his strengths are really good(besides Sense).You can 3 hit doors with his Destruction.Unlocks at LvL 20.
Part 9 Jason is another really good Jason but not better than Part 6 or 8.He has a plus in Shift and Stalk but his downsides are that he has only 3 traps and his mask can be knocked off very easily.Unlocks at LvL 31
And finally Savini Jason.If your versing a Savini Jason most people will quit.His strengths are good and his only major weakness is Water Speed.However it is too late to buy him.

Early Game Tips & Tricks...

So you picked your Jason now what do you do first?
Follow these steps with a few Tips & Tricks along the way...

Step 1:
You spawn in as your preffered Jason what you first want to do is that you want to get the 2 throwing knives at the shack you spawn in and then Morph to the phone and put down a trap infront of it.You can put down 1 or more traps as Part 2 but use them correctly.As for Part 7 and 9 use your traps wisely.

Step 2:
If there is a Counselor in the Cabin kill them quickly(its hard but if you cant kill them just scare them away) but if there is not Conselour go to Step 3:

Step 3:
Morph to each Car and trap where the Battery and Gas goes,except if your Part 7 or 9 just put one trap down at either the Gas or Battery at each car.If there is a boat dont trap it as it is a waste of traps and easy to get through.Instead keep checking if the parts have been done for it.

Step 4:
By now you should have Shift which is your tool for killing Counselors.If you hear any traps have been sabotaged or activated then Morph over there ASAP.Kill the conselour with a variety of kills (dont spam one kill you will have no friends) and retrap the the object unless your Part 7 or 9 just keep checking on it.


By now you should have killed 1-3 Counselors during these Steps now to move on to the Mid Game...

Mid Game Tips & Tricks...

So you youve trapped the objectives and killed a couple Counselors what is next?

Step 1: (Repeat if you cant find anyone)
You might have gotten Stalk by now which is good for sneaking up on Counselors and killing them.Now you should go to each Area of the map and tab on and off on your Sense ability and if anything turns red go over and kill the conselour inside there.

Step 2:
Check on Boat to see if anyones working on it and if they are kill them or atleast scare them away.If one of your traps goes of Morph over there and hunt down the Counselor who either sabotaged or stepped into your trap.

Step 3:
Tommy Jarvis might have came to save everyone.If the person knows how to play Tommy correctly than thats bad but if he doesnt than hes just another person waiting to die.If it is a good Tommy player,then kill him before he buys time for everyone.

Step 4 Part 1/3: (Can also happen in the Late Game)
If the car has started Morph over there and and use Stalk and Shift to get in front of it and stop the Car.The best Jason for this is Part 9 or Savini as they both have a strength in Shift and no weakness in Morph.If you managed to stop the car the Counselors will either run away,fight you or stay in the Car.First kill the Counselors fighting but if there is none than the driver is and easy kill as you can walk over to the driver door and grab him out of the car and kill him.

Step 4 Part 2/3: (Can also happen in the Late game)
If it is the Boat has started instead of the car than Morph into the water and wait at the exit gate.However if you are Part 7 or 8 you can chase them (because your faster than the boat) and tip the boat over and drown the Counselor/s that are in the water.

Step 4 Part 3/3: (Can also happen in the Late Game)
If someone is trying to call the Cops than Morph over there ASAP and break the Phone Box,trap it and then kill the Counselor who tried to call the cops.However if your too late and the Cops are called than just wait at the entrence their at and wait for the Counselors or Hunt down all Counselors quickly.

By now surely you have killed half of the Counselous or some might have escaped and theres not much time left...

Late Game Tips & Tricks...

You are close to killing all Counselors continue..,

Step 1:
Morph to places that you havent checked much and unexpected places where no one goes there might be a stealthy Counselor trying to wait the night out.

Step 2: (Can happen anytime but mostly the end of the game)
If someone wanders into your Shack,Mother will warn (unless they have your mask) you so Morph there ASAP.They might be trying to kill you so kill the Counselor.But if they suceed getting your Mother's Sweater than you must kill the person who wears it or kill Tommy Jarvis (its hard either way,the person wearing it will be protected and Tommy has max stats so take your pick).You can hide in the water but you will have no friends so dont unless your trolling than it might be funny if an 8-year old cries.

You should have killed all Counselors and maybe 1 or 2 might have escaped or maybe they killed you.Its the end of the match the Game has ended.

Extra Helpful Tips...

-To Shift Grab a Counselor,Unshift slightly infront of them while using Stalk and grab them.

-An easier way to destroy doors is to go into combat stance and hit it the door.

-Only put traps at Objectives(only exception is The Shack).

-Always try to do an Environmental kill as it grants you more points.

-Dont waste Stalk you can suprise a Counselor and is a great combination with Morph and Shift.

-If you hear a Counselor jump out of through a window Shift to them.

-When your chasing a Counselor and they jump through a window throw a throwing knife at them.

-Always collect pocket knives.

-Knock out the power in a certain spot and Tommy Jarvis cant be called.

-Throw a knife at a Counselor when they are is repairing or healing as it stops what their doing.

-Part 6's throwing knifes do more damage.

-Grip Strength doesnt change by much if it is a con or a pro.

-Stun Ressitance means it takes more hits to stun Jason.

-Defence means that your easier to stun.

-Cant Run doesnt matter you can still catch up to them just as easily
