Powerlevelling Guide - The Order of Dawn

Mainly dedicated to people who care about developing their Avatars to an extreme level (>30) in The Order of Dawn campaign. Bear in mind, that Avatars can still be exported to Shadow of the Phoenix by having ready a save of them at levels 25-30. Also, the guide contains tons of useful information for all players, concerning every map in the game, as well as the main quest and all sidequests. All paths are explored, and different flexibility options are provided so that the player can choose how far they want to push their Avatars.

Introduction
Welcome to my second SpellForce guide! It concerns exclusively the first campaign: The Order of Dawn. The aim of this guide is to describe every possible XP opportunity the game offers, so that you can achieve the highest possible level and develop your Avatar even further than what a usual Level 25-30 completion of the campaign offers.

Of course, it is essential to outline the principles by which XP works in this game. The main premise is that subsequent kills of the same exact enemy give less and less experience. Level 1 and level 3 Goblin Bruisers are farmed separately, despite both of them sharing the same name. This is because, internally, they have a unique ID, and thus are treated as different units, with their own attributes. One of those attributes acts as a hidden modifier, directly affecting the equation by which all XP progression is governed. Particularly, it is used to establish a cap, the maximum amount of instances of a specific enemy that you can kill before the XP drops down to zero. This modifier, though, doesn't directly determine how many enemies are worth defeating. In fact, many enemies stop giving experience way before this internal amount is reached. This is because XP is an integer value, which means that it can prematurely be rounded to zero. As far as I know, there is no way to reset the XP progression for any enemy.

Don't worry about the specific details, though. In the AMOUNT column of the tables found at the beginning of each map, you can find how many instances of each enemy you need to defeat in order to fully deplete the XP it has to offer.

Regarding this, note that the guide is designed so that your Avatar will be getting all the experience points as soon as they are available. For example, Goblin Wildlings can be farmed in three different maps: Greyfell, Liannon and Eloni. As far as this guide is concerned, it will be assumed that you completely farmed this enemy in Greyfell, thus providing no further XP in the other two areas.

This, of course, is just a choice in my end, and can be altered in favour of sanity. For me, the main purpose of having an extremely levelled Avatar is to be able to enjoy it for as many maps as possible. This is especially useful for mentalists, since being able to use higher level spells earlier on will allow you to control many powerful enemies. If you, however, don't care that much about the journey, and more about the final result, consider checking the Spawn Points sections below to figure out which are the fastest maps to farm each enemy.

Beware, though, that following this guide is no easy task, since there are several issues that arise when aiming to complete a playthrough like this. Save files grow in size the more you play the same Avatar, getting filled with redundant data that is never deleted. Of course, killing thousands of enemies and looting hundreds of corpses does not help to slow down this growth. When a savefile reaches enough size, most animations in the game get very laggy. This usually starts to be clearly noticeable when one reaches about 60% game completion (Howling Mounds/Whisper), and persists until the end of the game. There doesn't seem to be any known workaround to this problem, and it's hardware-independent.

In addition, there are some errors that appear in certain areas and under certain situations. These errors, again, are hard to avoid, and can block you from getting the full experience a map can offer. Stoneblade Mountain is a notable example, where there is a possibility that the game will crash after several enemies of a certain type are killed.

Does this mean that powerlevelling is impractical? Well, that mainly depends on your tolerance to lag. Of course, if you don't follow the guide to the tiniest detail, then you will probably have a better time playing, and still push your Avatar's level beyond 30. Take this more as an encyclopedia of useful data, rather than an actual walkthrough. But, because it contains guidance on certain aspects and mechanics of the game, I'd say it's useful reading for every player out there.
Before Starting
FARMING

You should already be familiarised with the two most popular farming techniques: camp-defence and spawn-camping (unofficial names).

Camp-defense simply consists in mounting a good line of defence in every entry point to your camp. The strategy is especially effective in maps such as Leafshade or Stoneblade Mountain, where there are only one or two entrances to your base. This technique is however not as effective as spawn-camping for powerlevelling, but rather for a normal playthrough in which you intend on completing the game with levels lower than 30.

Spawn-camping revolves around building towers close to spawn points. It's usually advised to accompany them with some units in order to draw the aggro, so that the enemies never attack the towers and thus can't hope to destroy them. Healers and ranged units are preferrable, since an enemy can only be attacked simultaneously by a group of up to eight melee fighters.

For a playthrough like this, you'll need to use spawn-camping. It's faster and more reliable than camp-defense. Beware, though, that some enemies are very rare, and will only start appearing after a long time since the spawn point was activated. In these instances, make sure to reenter the map after 2-3 hours to reset the evolution process. Otherwise, you won't be able to completely farm them. This happens in many maps, especially in Icegate Marsh and Sharrowdale.

Now, let's go through some of the key concepts that will be used as common notation across this guide.

First, let's introduce "blockade enemies". The name comes from the fact that most of them are found forming barricades, or blockades, in specific maps. These enemies behave in a different way to standard units. Their respawning timer is individual, meaning each enemy has its own, and fixed, so they will always respawn after a predetermined amount of time, which depends exclusively on the spawn point. Because their production never slows down, farming enemies in those maps in which they act as "blockade enemies" is the quickest way to exhaust their XP.

Second, let's talk about activation conditions. They dictate when a spawn point becomes active. They are often related to timers, but can also be tied to monument activation or quest progression, among others. In the Spawn Points sections, you'll see that some of them list several activation conditions. In those cases, know that triggering one of them is enough to activate the spawn.

There are, also, additional notes on several spawn points. These notes mostly inform about specific characteristics of the spawn, such as not sending scouts, having a really slow spawn rate or additional enemies. By "additional enemies" I mean all those enemies you see very close to the spawn point, probably of the same enemy type as the ones related to it, but that in reality don't belong to the camp. They are just there the first time you enter the map. The camp chief is usually not included here, but rather in the name of the camp itself.

ARTMONEY

To follow this guide to its full extent, you are going to need an external program, called Artmoney. You won't be using it to hack your Avatar, though. You just need it to read a specific value, which is the "Expirience" field (yes, it's wrongly spelled). Without it, it will be very easy for you to miss experience. Know, though, that you can still reach levels higher than 30 without using Artmoney.

BUILDS

The same way it's important to use Artmoney, it is essential to build an Avatar that can overcome the Blade blockade in Icegate Marsh, otherwise one cannot attain maximum XP. There are several builds that can achieve this, but the ones I know for a fact that can are:
  • Warrior/fighter: use a divide-and-conquer strategy and all your combat skills.
  • Mentalist: Self Illusion, Dominate and Invisibility.
  • Ice mage: Ice Elemental and Blizzard.
  • Paladin/white mage: use Hallow and/or Aura of Light.
Beware, though, that those creatures dominated by the mentalist won't give XP when killed by other enemies, so you may want to reconsider that strategy.

SEQUENCE BREAKING

In this game it is possible to alter significantly the order in which you complete maps, but it's not an easy, beginner-friendly task. This can be done mainly in Greydusk Vale and Icegate Marsh.

When the Avatar drives the undead out of the Northern Windwalls, the Hallits warn him not to cross the portal to Greydusk Vale, because a huge undead army is waiting on the other side. This army can be defeated by your Avatar alone, depending on your build. A mentalist, for instance, can use Self Illusion to draw the black magic of the sorcerers, then dominate two or three enemies and retreat using Invisibility. Also, all these enemies are farmable later, so you don't have to worry about getting all the XP from them now.

If the player succeeds in this, and is able to overcome the Snake Pass (which, again, it can be done), he may cross the portal to the Howling Mounds and continue the game normally, at least until the end of Whisper, since the gate to The Godwall won't open until you give the Mask of Belial to Hokan. There is an alternative cutscene if the player approaches the Circle Mage before having the mask. I would, however, advise you not to save the game after viewing it, since I've found impossible to trigger the standard cutscene with Hokan when you finally get your hands on the mask, thus locking your Avatar in Whisper forever.

A more radical opportunity of sequence-breaking is in Icegate Marsh. As soon as the Avatar is able to overcome the Blade blockade, if he is able at some point, you can continue the campaign as normal, and even finish the game, without having the Phoenix Stone in your possession. You can potentially avoid maps such as Farlorn's Hope, The Rift or even more by following this strategy.

In this guide, however, I won't be considering these paths, and instead take a more linear approach. The only choice I had to make was whether to go to Farlorn's Hope or The Rift first. Ultimately I chose Farlorn's Hope, both because it made sense in terms of the main quest flow of events, and because choosing to do The Rift last will allow your Avatar to start it at Level 28, that is, with level 12 skills, and thus have a more enjoyable experience in which is in no doubt a harder map than Farlorn's. I will also be considering that you defeat the Blade blockade at the end of The Rift, since this is the last chance you have to do it before those enemies despawn due to the events of the main quest.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

In the XP recap found at the end of every map/section, you will notice that I included a category for "GLITCHES". This was merely to satisfy my curiosity, since in the process of making this guide I wanted to know how much more experience you could get by taking advantage of these exploits. Turns out, not much in the end, but the XP boost is normally very significant in those maps where you can use them.

Finally, it is theoretically possible to get infinite amounts of experience by selling Beastman Manes to Ashawe in Eloni, or Wolfsigns to Commander Halicor in Farlorn's Hope. These give 5 and 200 XP per unit, respectively, and are fairly simple to obtain. In this guide it will be considered as if you are NOT selling these items, except the ones you are guaranteed to get, which are then common to every player. Still, know that selling the items you got randomly won't make a difference at the end of the campaign (unless you were to specifically farm for them), but it will have a noticeable impact in the XP your Avatar will have at the end of some of the maps.

Quests:
  • Complete "To Greyfell - Protect the villagers from the attack of the Orcs" - 20 XP
    • The quest objective is completed once all the Cave Orcs are killed.
    • The attack is formed by 12 Cave Orcs and 3 Cave Orc Healers. Four Wulfgar Farmers are spawned alongside the orcs, thus making a total of seven farmers. The fact that they die or survive does not affect the amount of experience gained from the quest.
  • Talk to Peasant Lemuel after the attack - 20 XP
    • Also rewards a Ruby Ring of the Mages.
  • Complete "To Greyfell - Search for Sartarius in the House of the Order" - 10 XP
  • Complete "Magical Artifacts - Take the eyeglasses back to Gabar" - 10 XP
  • Complete "Darius the Cartographer - Show the letter from Sartarius to the guard at the portal to Liannon" - 5 XP
  • SANDOR GLITCH:
    • Complete "Echoes - Investigate the source of the sounds - Investigate the gravestones in the North Central region" - 500xp
    • Complete "Echoes - Investigate the source of the sounds - Investigate the gravestones in the Southwest." - 500xp
    • Complete "Echoes - Investigate the source of the sounds - Investigate the gravestones in the South." - 500xp
      • To use this glitch, save the game before the last Cave Orc that attacks the city dies. When the last enemy is killed, and the quest book updates, Sandor's dialogue options will become available for a very small period of time. You'll need to skip through the dialogue in order to start the quest.
      • Upon interacting with each gravestone, a Skeleton Cutthroat Level 5 will spawn. Killing these skeletons is not necessary to complete the quest. All three give a total of 46 XP.

Additional information:
  • The last two Young Forest Spiders are located southeast of Wulfgar farm, and north of the Sick Hermit. They must be killed early, or else they'll end up dying to NPCs, thus providing no experience. To do this and still complete the quest objective "To Greyfell - Continue to the East", you must destroy the two Forge buildings in the Goblin camp. This will disable one of the spawn points, but all Goblin types will still farmable, albeit at a slower pace.
  • You can make Tombard die in the attack to the farm. To do this, don't help the farmers, and choose Low difficulty so that he deals less damage to the orcs. This will make the Blood quest uncompletable but, if your build allows it, you will be able to start using the Blade of Light in Greydusk Vale, 9(!) maps before intended.
  • Attack of the Cave Orcs:
    • There are 24 regular Cave Orcs attacking the city.
    • Speaking with Sartarius after the fight rewards the Avatar with Pass for the Liannon Gate and Rune Warrior Cord Level 1. No XP is provided for fending off the attack.
  • This is the only map in which you will need to advance to the next one (Liannon) in order to get the max. amount of XP, since you must reenter Greyfell to farm the Goblin Sandcasters.

    • This reward can be missed if the first group of soldiers sent dies. In that case, the gate to the portal will open as soon as you kill Gnaff.
  • Bring the "Wanted Poster for Celen" to Celen Fell - 20 XP
    • Also rewards 2 Silver and 40 Copper coins.
  • Bring the "Old Dwarven Axe for Sunder" to Sunder Blackhand - 20 XP
    • If you sell it to him, he will give you 4 Silver coins.
    • Alternatively, you can exchange it for one piece of equipment: Firesteel-Scimitar, Firesteel-Axe, Firesteel Warhammer or Firesteel-Shield.
    • Selling or exchanging the axe will provide the same amount of XP.

  • Any build following this guide should be able to, at least, defeat the Ghost of the Scribe. In this map and a few of the following ones, I will be considering different amounts of total XP, depending on whether you have killed the two remaining Ghosts.

  • Complete "The dream-snatcher - Bring the Obsidian to Istur" - 20 XP

Additional Info:
  • The first 3 Young Forest Spiders can only be farmed if the map is entered at nighttime. This is due to reduced vision range for both Ashawe and the spiders, thus preventing them from attacking each other.
  • Speaking with Sindare grants you the command of 3 Eloni Rangers. No experience is provided.
  • To farm Goblin Thornforgers, the map needs to be reentered with Ruff alive.
  • Urshuk and Ruff's Camps will not send scouts until Zarn's gate is opened and at least 20 minutes have passed since the map was entered.
  • The orc ambush is formed by 2 Fist Spearman Level 4, 5 Fist Thug Level 3, 3 Fist Veterans and 5 Fist Ravagers. This ambush only happens once. When this counterattack is launched, Lycande will run back to the settlement, and will stay there forever.
  • To farm Bonewraiths, approach Sharknar just enough for him to trigger the spawn located next to him, in a pile of bones. You should then retreat so that the skeletons follow you, but not Sharknar. Repeat this strategy until you have completely farmed them. There is a faster strategy that can be performed once you are done farming some of the enemies in the map. If your build allows it, you can dominate Sharknar and guide him to one of the camps. Bonewraiths spawn as long as Sharknar is hostile towards something, which in this case is the enemy camp. You can also use Invisibility on him to prevent him from attacking the buildings.

Additional Info:
  • One Fist Firemaster, three Veterans and two Spearmen will ambush the player past the first orc barricade. To spawn them, you need to get closer to a group of trees next to Aonir's crystal tower. This is a one-time event that can be avoided in the first visit and still be triggered later on.
  • The Spider Master will summon 1 Giant Forest Spider Level 9, 1 Lesser Rock Spider Level 7, 1 Great Forestspider Level 6, 2 Small Forestspider Level 4, 3 Young Swamp Spider Level 3 and 2 Young Rock Spider Level 2 to help you retrieve his flute. These same spiders are the ones that attack you when the Spider Master is confronted. If the previous group of spiders was killed, a new group (identical to the first one) will spawn to attack the player. If the spiders survived the attack against the orcs, they will rush to help their master as soon as you make him hostile, giving you enough time to kill the Spider Master before the spiders are able to get there. If only some of them die, those dead ones will spawn in the Spider Master cave, and the rest will still rush to your position from the mountain pass.
  • Speaking to Darius after the events in Icegate Marsh (using the option "Tell me something about...") will reveal a fifth dialogue option regarding the Book of the Convocation that Rohen gave to you.

The timing of the waves start as soon as you activate the first Elf Monument (this is the only trigger). The time in which you defeat each wave does not matter, so they can potentially accumulate if fought slowly enough.

Time passed from when the first Elf Monument is activated until the undead get to the Hallit blockade:
  • First wave - 18 minutes
  • Second wave - 27 minutes
  • Third wave - 33 minutes
If the map is left when a wave is spawned, those enemies will remain near the portal to Greydusk Vale, forever. Remaining waves, if any, will still spawn at the corresponding time after the first Elf Monument is activated. If you keep following this strategy, all three waves will be grouped near the portal.

Additional Info:
  • The first spider nest has 6 Lesser Rock Spiders and 11 Young Rock Spiders. All of these, except for one young spider, will respawn every time you reenter the map.
  • As long as Kishan is alive, two Skeleton blockades found near his camp will respawn indefinitely from the Portal to Greydusk Vale. Each Skeleton will respawn 1:30 minutes after it's killed. These blockades are formed by:
    • East blockade
      • 3 Skeleton Archer Level 8
      • 5 Skeleton Fighter Level 5
      • 3 Skeleton Cutthroat Level 5
    • West blockade
      • 5 Skeleton Fighter Level 5

  • If the undead get to Stonewell Castle, a new quest objective will appear, prompting the player to talk to the guard next to the portal to Greyfell to ask for reinforcement. This reinforcement comes in the form of several Dawn Knights, which seem to stay next to the portal and thus offer no aid in the retaking of the castle. If these knights were to die, the Hallit Corporal will say that Greyfell needs more time before they are able to send back reinforcements. However, it seems that no more kights will ever come.
  • Reentering the map is an effective strategy to recapture Stonewell, since enemies will teleport back to their original locations. When the castle is emptied of undead and Kishan is killed, Lord Jonir will have a different dialogue and reward.
  • Iron resources:
    • 400 pieces for arriving at Stonewell castle and watching the cutscene.
    • 300 pieces in Angstling Camps.
    • 300 pieces in Skeleton Camp (dwarf gate).

ROCK SPIDER FARMING:

Rock Spiders can be farmed indefinitely by letting your Avatar or other ally unit step into specific tiles. There are four spider spawn points in the map. The first three are very close to each other, located in the first spider nest you find (southeast of the second Hero Monument). The fourth one is found in the northeastern section, near Kirsh Level 12. Standing in the cell is enough to trigger the spawns every certain amount of time, so you don't have to patrol through the tiles.

Spawn points:
  • First group: 2 Giant Rock Spider Level 10 and 1 Young Rock Spider Level 2 in the trees south of the first spider webs you find. You need to be next to the trees to trigger the spawn.
  • Second group: 2 Giant Rock Spider Level 10 and 1 Young Rock Spider Level 2, located northwest of the first one, next to a group of bones.
  • Third group: 1 Giant Rock Spider Level 10 and 1 Lesser Rock Spider Level 7, located southwest of the first one, next to small rocks and three decayed trees.
  • Fourth group: 3 Giant Rock Spider Level 10, located where the Shadowcrawler Poison is obtained. Position the Avatar next to the rock in the right that leads to the spider nest.

THE SHIEL DARKELVES:

The trigger for them to appear is reaching Level 23. Other factors, such as main quest progress, don't matter at all.

To farm them, leave the Warlock found in the north of the map alive!

One of the Warlocks spawns inside the Utranian Fortress, and will most likely be killed before you can intervene. To avoid neutral units taking away the XP for killing him, bring the Dryads to the northeastern corner of the fortress, and make sure the one you can control is who deals the finishing blow to the Warlock.

There are two groups in total, each composed of 6 Assassins, 6 Darkblades, 2 Sorcerers and 2 Necromancers.

Additional Info:
  • Each Commander of Korshar you defeat will spawn a set of enemies in the other side of the gate, which will march to your camp as soon as it opens. If none of the monuments has been activated, then the undead will cross the gate and stand south of it. Groups are as follows:
    • One Commander: 6 Crypt Terror Level 8
    • Two Commanders: 4 Undead Executioner Level 6, 2 Slurper Level 10

  • Complete "Shadow World - Bring the ring and the crystal back to Rigour Mortis" - 600 XP
    • At this point you lose the ring, which will prevent you from killing the Shadows in Stoneblade Mountain and Greydusk Vale, unless you have entered those maps at least once after getting the Enchanted Shadow Ring. Getting visibility of them is not needed, only entering the map is enough to make them permanently available.
  • Complete "Shadow World - Take the shadow crystal to Castagir" - 1000 XP
  • Wait some minutes and talk to Castagir again - 500 XP
    • Also rewards Shadowpulse Armor.
    • The trigger for this is not changing maps such as with the Earthblade quest, but rather waiting a fixed amount of time, in any map.
  • Complete "Dragon Armor - Take the dragon scales to Orthanc in Greyfell" - 800 XP
    • Also rewards Dragonscale Armor and Dragonscale Greaves.
    • The armor can be obtained in several chests, but the greaves are unique.
  • Bring the ingredients to Bork Gorinson and agree to start the plan - 800 XP
    • To be able to complete this quest objective, you need 3 Stones of the Eternal Fire. If you have found and used all of them, you will only have 2 remaining. The last one needed can be found in the first chests of The Rift, that are opened with Mulandir's key. The other option is to save one of the stones you already got. That would make either the Spellwork or Earthblade sidequests unfinished until you get to The Rift. You would be at a lower level in those maps and the following, but at a higher level at the end of Farlorn's Hope. Completing this sidequest allows you to access two chests with end-game gear a little bit earlier on, which could be more useful than getting the Spellmask or the Earthblade.
    • In this guide, it is assumed you don't complete this quest objective until the end of The Rift.

Additional Info:
  • 18 Briarwolves Ellite Level 22 guard the entrance to the main camp. They are blockade enemies, with very low respawning time.
  • Speaking with Commander Halicor after the Briarwolves are defeated rewards the player with the following Orc plans: Food Store, Medium Headquarters and Drummer. The same plans (and more) can be obtained next to the portal to the Rift, in Mulandir, after speaking with the Guardian.
  • It seems highly unlikely, if not downright impossible, for one faction to destroy most of the forces of the other without the help of the player.

  • Blade waves' timing starts at the moment you activate the first Darkelf Monument. Blades will start storming your camp at around 9 minutes of this. Last waves will come at the 15 minute mark. Defeating all the enemies of the eastern blockade is what advances the main quest, which means that you could potentially kill those 10 enemies with your Avatar alone and build an Orc army while only being harrassed by one camp (the one closest to the Black Tower). All the rest of spawn points will be inactive unless you activate the first Darkelf Monument.
  • The Black Tower can be destroyed by sacrificing heroes (fighters and warriors), preferably buffed with Aura of Fast Fighting, a high-damage weapon and as much Strength as possible. An easier strategy is to use summons, such as the Undead Goblin. Destroying the tower could bring an advantage when clearing the map, although it depends on your situation.

BLADE STORMTROOPERS:

They start spawning short after the Avatar starts to climb the third stage of the Obsidian Mountain. A dialogue from the Soulforger will serve as a warning of this.

Three of them spawn in the three Triumvir camps. They will respawn around 5 seconds after being killed, if the spawn point is still active. The way to disable the spawn point is to destroy the buildings surrounding it. Beware, though, that the point is invisible.

The second Triumvir camp only spawns one Stormtrooper. After that, only the first and third Triumvir camps spawn more enemies.

Regarding their mechanics, they will target the Avatar and hit for high amounts of damage. At the moment they get hit for the first time, they will attempt to despawn. Killing them before they manage to disappear is the only way to get XP.

Additional Info:
  • You can kill the Soulforger in all his three stages and avoid triggering the final cutscene. For this to work, you have to drag him away from the stone gate leading to the Time Portal. He doesn't give any XP nor have any drops, but this allows you to have a save in which every enemy, camp and quest are cleared. To view the final cutscene, you just have to approach the gate.
  • The Rift, Icegate Marsh and this map together give more than 50% of the available experience in the campaign.

I don't know where the numbers are from but there are some exp values needed for each level in the Spellforce Fandom Wiki (https://spellforce.fandom.com/wiki/Stats_and_Abilities_in_SpellForce/Technical) . Hope it helps to please your desperate need for numbers :)

Ok. I know this one is old. But I am currently playing SF1 for a third playthrough and I thought to myself, why not try looking up a guide and then here it is. What a masterpiece. I majored in statistics so I appreciate this kind of work a little bit more than an average Joe, but there is one tiny little thing that bothers me, and I would like the author to reply to me.
Do you have a spreadsheet somewhere with exact numerical values of EXP needed for each level? I don't want to use ArtMoney, actually I don't want to mess with my game at all, but I still need to know. I even tried to calculate it with using all the data given in this guide, but for most levels I can just guess. Not even AI Chat GPT was able to calculate. So I decided for my final attempt being, asking the author directly.

Also, have you considered doing the same thing for BotW and SotP?

Anyway, despite my mental illness with numbers I really appreciate your work, you are a great man.

@Spielmann In the "Before Starting" section, there is a link to another guide to use Artmoney. You can check your current experience in one of the fields of the table provided. You can also check here: https://www.nexusmods.com/spellforceplatinumedition/mods/34

Normally, you have to switch windows after defeating an enemy and indeed subtracting the current amount from the previous one to check how much experience was earned. There is an extended UI mod that allows you to see a lot of information in game, including XP. You can download it from the mod pack here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/spellforce-platinum-edition-154-modpack

As for how do I know when reentering the map is needed, mostly by trial and error in-game, and sometimes by decompiling the spawn scripts and checking them.
