Introduction
Hi I'm Enmi, I have been playing this game since April 2012 and I really like this game - because the combat similar to the Monster Hunter series.

I have 5 level 50 characters atm. and I will tell you how to get to 50 in just a couple of weeks. (if you're a hardcore player, you can get to 50 in a few days.)
General Tips
Gears in Dragon Nest, unlike in other games, (Diablo, Ragnarok etc.) have no stat requirements. Only Level.
Lvls: 1, 5, 10, 15, 24, 32, 40. 50 for Quality/Epic/Unique/Legendary grade.
Lvls: 1, 5, 10, 14, 23, 31, 39, 49 for Normal/Magic grade.

White/Gray items with white borders are Normal grade
Green = Magic
Blue = Quality
Epic = Orange
Unique = Purple
Legend = Red

You don't really have to worry about gears until you are level 40
  • You get gears from quests. (These gears are usually Magic grade and are enhanced to +6)
  • Dungeons aren't really that hard with the exception of Nests
  • Low-level gears are bad regardless of grade
  • To save up Gold

*If you're having trouble with a dungeon you can enhance your equipment given the equipments are 'enhanceable'

Daredevil Faire
Accessible at level 10. The Daredevil Faire has mini dungeons where you can earn alot of XP and Tickets to exchange for Lustres, Sparks and Gifts.

Remember to do these dungeons inside the Daredevil Faire, as they give heaps of XP but can only be run 7 times a week.
  • Gobarta (from lvl 10-32)
  • Gobersia (32-50)
  • Krag's Counterattack (32-50)
*Run these dungeons only if you have PWR for more XP
PWR is the bar at the bottom center of your sceen just to the right of the yellow (XP) bar.
PWR increases the amount of XP you get from hunting monsters and overall drop rate for you and your party.

*Remember to repair your equipment every time you get the chance before heading off to a dungeon.
Your gear's effectiveness will decrease whenever it's about to break. If it breaks, you lose the bonuses (armour, hp, etc) you get from that piece of equipment.

*Being in a high-level guild with Lv.4 Guild XP Aura and a full set of Pledge costume (except the flag) will be a great help in levelling. (+20% XP)
Main Part
Here is what you should do:

From 1-10: Follow the main quest until you reach level 10 (you may also do side quests to earn extra XP and Gold)

Get out from the newb town (Ironwood Village for Warriors and Archers / Mana Ridge for Clerics, Sorceress and Tinkers) and make your way to Carderock Pass.

You may choose to follow main quests or you can get a Mentor to help you.
*Mentors are level 60 (or higher) players that can take on a pupil to help them level.
*Mentors and Pupils both receive a 'gift' for every 5 levels gained by the pupil.
*Gifts contain random accesories or Lustres for enhancing gears

Carderock Pass Dungeons

11-16: Valley of Mourning (VoM)
- With a party of 4 or with a Mentor (Abyss Difficulty)
- With a party of 2 or Solo, if you are good enough (Master Difficulty)
*Abyss is HARDER than Master but gives MORE XP and sometimes drops EPIC grade loots.
*Master has good XP and drops QUALITY grade loots.

16-24: Astral Coven Laboratory (ACL)
- Fastest dungeon to get you to 24 and on to the next town
- Great for farming DImensional Box Keys and Dimensional Fragments

Saints Haven Dungeons

IF you load slow:
24-32: Desolate Isle
- Loads ONCE. No zone changes.
- Still good XP.. watch out for those carnivorous plants, they are annoying...
- Takes a little more time to finish than other level 24 dungeons.

24-26: Black Sovereign Domain
- Zone changes THRICE. If you have a slow PC and you don't want ppl raging at you for making them wait 30 seconds for you to load then just run Desolate Isle.

26-32: Blackguard Stronghold
- This can be faster than BSDomain. Zone changes TWICE.

Alternatively, you may run:
26-32: Marissa's Dryspring (You MUST have a long ranged attacker for the speed run)
- Just ignore monsters and run until you find a shack with the spiders just after you cross the long wooden bridge. Kill them along with the mini-boss then jump down the cliff and kill the red ghouls and red shinigamis.
- On the 2nd Zone do NOT cross the wooden bridge just yet. look down from the left side of the tree just a bit ahead from the portal and SNIPE the bats and ghouls with:
  • SwordMaster's Moonlight Splitter
  • Elementalist's Fireball
  • Archer's Magic Arrow
  • Acrobat's Flame Spark (not sure what it's called but it's the dodge+left click skill)
  • Sharpshooter's Frag Arrow
  • Mercenary's Punishing Swing
  • Any other skill that has long to infinite range.

*Kill the bats first before the ghouls because they tend to move under the cliff which is your blindspot - if this happens just walk back towards the portal where you came from and let them return to where they were OR use tinker's grenades or sorceress' Void Blast.

*btw i load like 4 seconds with just 4gb ram - if you want to free some memory while playing games use Razer Gamebooster or Advanced System Care

moving on..

32-40: Desolate Point
- No zone change and without a doubt the fastest dungeon to grind to 40.

Lotus Marsh

Now, 50 cap has just been released (at the time of this writing) and new dungeons are still coming and I haven't tried the new ones that came out less than a week ago but I managed to get 4 level 50 characters just by grinding this:

41-50: Ruined Village
* I'm sure you have decent gears by now (at least 4k damage Magic/Physical damage)
if so, run it solo on MASTER difficulty and it will take you only half a day to get from 40 to 50.

* I do not own the videos posted in this guide.

* If you have questions PM me in-game or send me a mail via mailbox if i'm not online (I'm on every server EXCEPT Leviatha
IGN: Gumbah

EDIT:
07/24/13: I no longer play this game. Rest assured that most of the contents of this guide are still accurate at the time of this writing. Thank you!

@hulboy : You can continue the main quest line now until about level 20 or 30 or so, wherein you'll likely begin to out-level the MQL (or get sick of the BS running back-and-forth it forces you to do) and just grind dungeons anyways. Sidequests should be picked up whenever you have the chance, though; missing lower leveled ones is fine, but the gold and items they give are very nice to have, and worth the time/effort made to get them -- doubly so if you're on your first character :)

So no, you don't have to stop the MQL, but it definitely starts to lose pace around lv25 or so (and DRAGS on through the 40's & 50's). You can always come back later if you really want to, for completion's sake -- I don't think there's any titles worth getting that are better than ones you can get from just grinding dungeons/nests or doing PvP.

This guide is definitely a wee bit out of date... :L

1) Dungeons now crap out equips for days.
2) Equips from dungeons (Rare & below) now show up every 2 levels or so, with special (Epic+) showing up at irregular levels (something like 12, 24, 36(?), 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, & 93).
3) Lv70 is the new lv40.
4) Rare & below equips can no longer be enhanced, since they're basically trash you get from dungeons and use until you get to 80+ (wherein the game slows down).
5)... Y'know what, most of the info is out-of-date... Sensibly so, because it's 3 (going on 4) years old, but still... .__.

@Evil Level One : I believe Steam's version of DN only connects to the Eyedentity servers (of which there is only one server now). You'll just have to use CC's own download client to get the game :\ Sorry...
