🔴 Reload Tricks
● There are two types of reload in Resident Evil 5: Inventory reload and melee reload

- Inventory Reload: Just drag the appropriate ammo to the weapon you want to reload
- Melee Reload: Press the reload key (R by default) before performing a melee attack

Note: You can also reload your weapons and organize your inventory when doing actions, like climbing ladders / fences or picking up objects. Use those tricks to your advantage!

Note #2: This can save you a lot of money, especially the RELOAD upgrades
Note #3: Melee Reload doesn't works with enemies lying on the ground

-------------------------- Inventory reload & melee reload examples -----------------------------

🔴 Normal Draw & Quick Draw
● There are two ways to change weapons in Resident Evil 5: Normal Draw & Quick Draw

- Normal Draw: Just press the desired key (1,2,3) for change to the weapon you want
- Quick Draw: While aiming with a weapon, press the desired key (1,2,3) + attack key

Note: Quick Draw has its advantages, skiping the aiming animation and shooting directly
Note #2: This can be especially useful when using rocket launchers (slow animation)
Note #3: If you are a controller player, use the arrows (◁ ▷ △ ▽ ) for change weapons

● How to organize your inventory depending if you are using Keyboard & Mouse or Controller:

● Video examples:

------------------------------ Normal Draw & Quick Draw examples ------------------------------
🔴 Invincibility trick
● You obtain "invincibility frames" when picking up objects (like ammo / money) or jumping over fences. This is useful when you have a lot of enemies surrounding you or can't aim in time

Note: Don't pick up everything when fighting a lot of enemies. This trick can save you
Note #2: This trick can be useful on higher difficulties, especially Professional

------------------------------ pick up & fence invincibility examples ------------------------------
🔴 How to dodge enemies correctly
● Dodge enemies is the key for not receive damage on higher difficulties

- Correct way: Wait for the enemy to attack. Then, get through to one of his sides
- Wrong way: Go through to one of his sides directly (enemy attacks has "auto-aim")

Note: Be careful with the Majinis that carry long melee weapons (ex: pipes). Kill them quickly

Note #2: Ndipaya Majinis can be difficult to dodge due their spears (their basic attacks has long range). These enemies require you to adopt a more agressive game style rather than dodge

Note #3: Enemies can also throw their melee weapons at you. You can either move right / left or shoot them. You can do the same with molotovs and dynamites (can be useful for groups)

-------------------------------------- Correct & Wrong examples ---------------------------------
🔴 Killing parasites easily (Mutated Majinis)
● The most useful way to kill parasites in Resident Evil 5 is by using Flash Grenades or Rounds

Note: As soon you get the Grenade Launcher, it will be more rentable to kill parasites: You can carry more Rounds than Grenades per slot (Flash Rounds = 12, Flash Grenades 5) + you can use "Quick Draw" trick with it. Also, you can buy Flash Rounds for a cheap price (Flash Grenades not)

Note #2: The parasites emerges when landing a critical hit or the enemy has low HP. You can get more information about it in the "Avoiding Mutations / Clean Kills" section

● Here a list of the different mutation types / parasites:

- Adjule: a parasite with tentacles and teeths
- Bui Kichwa: a spider-type parasite
- Kipepeo: a flying-type parasite
- Duvalia: a shell-like parasite
- Cephalo: A "worm" looking parasite
🔴 Avoiding Mutations / Clean Kills
● The best ways to avoid mutations in Resident Evil 5 are: Neck Breaker and Throat Slit moves. These moves are a insta-kill. Remember that it only works on regular Majinis!

- Neck Breaker: Performed by Chris only
- Throat Slit: Performed by Sheva only

Note: Some enemies in the campaign has an scripted mutation. Meaning, that Majini will always mutate when receiving a critical hit or being low HP. Take notice about which enemies has scripted mutations and not and use that to your advantage!

Note #2: The dogs can mutate into Adjules at will / randomly

🔴 Best way to save your partner in PRO difficulty (Coop Only)
● There are two ways to save your partner from "dying status": with healing and resuscitate.
Professional difficulty is one of the most demanding and hard difficulties of the game!

- With healing: Takes time to take out the spray or herbs. Health bar doesn't stop going down
- With resuscitate: Instantly saves your partner from dying and health bar stops going down

🤔 Curious fact: When playing SOLO and using a healing item for save your partner, the health bar stops going down. By the other hand, in COOP, the health bar goes down while healing

Note: The only healing you need to keep in a PRO run are the red herbs
Note #2: Protect your partner until you find a green herb and mix it with the red one
Note #3: If your partner receive another hit after you resuscitate it, is a game over

● With healing and without healing (resuscitate) examples:

🔴 How to save your partner if you are far away
This only works on Amateur, Normal and Veteran difficulty

❗ Note:
by the mid-late game, there will be some enemies inmune to flash grenades, such as the Ndipaya and the military Majinis. They wear some kind of masks made of wood / metal. The wood masks can be broken but not the metalic ones (videos coming soon)
🔴 Difference between Bulletproof & Melee Vest in PRO difficulty
● These vests protect you really well on NORMAL and VETERAN difficulty. But on PRO, this is another story. Here I will show you the huge difference between them:

Note: Keep in mind that equipping them will take you one inventory slot each. By not using them, you can have one / two free slots in your inventory. It is up to you to sacrifice some defense for more ammo / weapons. Once you get used to the game, you won't need them

- Bulletproof vest overview (based on Professional difficulty):

🔴 Other minor tips that can be useful
- You can knock down the Majinis easily by shooting their legs when they are charging at you
- Hand Grenades / Mines can be also useful against Duvalias and Cephalos (insta-kill)
- Some enemies can't climb. Use that to your advantage and kill them from a safe spot
- Reapers (big bugs) are weak against Electric and Flash Rounds (using the Grenade Launcher)
- All bosses are weak against Rocket Launcher (some need a especific moment to use it right)
- Flash Rounds are effective against wood shields and dynamite / molotov Majinis
- Chris Safari & Warrior costumes can be useful against enemy flash grenades (late game)

@Me6069
You can stun enemies by shooting at their limbs aka arms and legs (also head)

How can you tell when a manjini is stunned?

half the time i think they are stunned, run up to them and get slapped cause no melee option.

Its like sometimes the 9mm just gives them a slight headache.

Thanks man, the dragging ammo to gun changes everything.

Thank you for your guide. The "quick draw" trick really surprised me how effective it's. :falloutcute:

@Yuri
Well, this is not a "best weapon guide". I let the players choose their weapons. Anyway, this is a beginner guide so new players has limited weaponry at the start. Critical is not always good since Majinis can mutate. Abusing of it can cause a lot of troubles in close combat, especially the cephalos. When they emerge, you receive damage inmediatly if you are close.

I find that the First machinegun when upgraded to be the Absolute best weapon ingame, Gets crit headshots, easily pick up enough ammo to keep itself running, and shots to the leg make them kneel for throat slits. but i need a second weapon to deal with bosses or tough enemies!
