DiRT 3 - How to get Platinum Medals in all Gymkhana Attack Events

This video guide series shows how to the platinum medals in all three Gymkhana Attack events without driving assists.

Gymkhana Attack 01 - done in 0:36.062

The most difficult part is to find a quick and flowing way through the course. I think it's easier to do the slow parts at the beginning. So my route is donut around the street lamp, donut around the digger, jump, drift behind the containers, drift through the pipes and finally drift below the trailers.

Gymkhana Attack 02 - done in 0:36.198

This turned out to be the quickest route for me. Perform a donut around the street lamp right after the start, make a dirty and short drift under the crane, then go full throttle to the other end of the compound, brake early, drift around the container edges and go straight for the other street lamp. Do a dirty donut around the lamp, if you're close enough it will be completed after about 270 degrees.

Then go up the ramp, try to cut the corners and jump over the gap. Be careful, if you're too slow it won't count, if you're too fast you'll jump too far. Get down from the container. If you braked early enough you wil make it around the fence without going back. Head over to the depot. Time will stop as soon as you complete the last spin, so hit the handbrake right after entering the depot and perform the spin to finish this run.

Gymkhana Attack 03 - done in 0:33.275

For me this turned out to best order for a smooth and fast run, but be careful, the first two tricks are very difficult.

So start with the drift through the digger, stay close to the digger's cabin and hit the handbrake. You have to be very accurate here because there's only little space to get through with your car. But if you're too slow it doesn't count.

Then head over to the tires, be aware of the gravel surface and brake early. Perform your donut, stay very close to the tires but be careful not to touch one of them. Then go to the spin area and watch out for the right exit.

Go full throttle to the crane at the other end of the compound and again brake early because of the gravel surface. Drift clockwise around the crane, if you're close enough to the barrier it will be finished after 180 degrees. Then drift under the small bridge and head over to the last donut. If you hit the handbrake before the last corner your car will already go sideways in the last donut trick.
