How to port your Colour Schemes from Dark Crusade to Soulstorm

If you are annoyed that your schemes in Dark Crusade are not in Soulstorm, fear not. I will teach you how to bring your schemes to Soulstorm.

Introduction

Colour Schemes are nice, as they let you put your personal touch on your favourite faction. I put a Kirby themed scheme on my armies, for example. But you may be disappointed to find out that by default, your schemes from Dark Crusade are not in Soulstorm. This is because you have to make a new profile for Soulstorm, which means you can't just connect your old profile up.

But have no fear. There is a safety net which will bring your colour schemes from Dark Crusade into Soulstorm.

So here's the part where you port your colour schemes.

Porting the Schemes may at first sound hard, but I figured out a simple solution. You see the profile structure for the two games are pretty much the same, so if you can find your Schemes folder, you're set to port them over.

Now this is the order for my PC, but by finding your Steam Library in your files, you're set. Here's the order for a typical PC: This PC > The drive you've installed Dark Crusade on (like J: or C: etc.) > Steam Library > steamapps > common > Dawn of War Dark Crusade > Profiles > Profile *insert number* (It doesn't show the actual name of your profile, just it's number) > dxp2.

Now in dxp2 there is a Schemes folder. Copy the folder and find Soul Storm in your Library. Again, the order for a typical PC is: This PC > Drive you've installed Soul Storm on > Steam Library > steamapps > common > Dawn of War SoulStorm > Profiles > Profile *insert number* > dxp2.

In this dxp2, you need to paste your folder in. And that's it! Once you launch your game and go into your profile, your colour schemes will be there, ready to kick Space Marine/Xeno/Heretic butt.
