Walkthrough - With Images (WIP)

So even though the game is a lot more linear than I remember it being, it's still pretty circuitous and confusing, and my experience with guides is that most of them are text only, with enormous walls of text that say things like "Go up the stairs, turn left, shoot the monster, hit the button. Then go back to the crossroad and take a right. Grab the feather. Go down the stairs and through the tunnel, then up the other stairs and through the door." Basically, they're of very little help. It's my hope to resolve that. I don't have a clue, and don't care, what the enemies are called, so I gave them my own names. Some are jerks. Some are maggots. Some are douches. I've tried to be consistent with this, so when you see "Killing this jerk opens the door," it will be the same monster that all the other "jerks" referred to.

This is a WIP and will be updated regularly until finished. I've now lost the MS Word document several times, not to mention that creating it in Word, and then recreating for Steam, uploading the images one by one, renaming them to something simple to use... All of that... It's just a lot easier for me to do it this way. And it will be finished. I'd estimate by 9-15-17. Plus, I'm hoping that feedback can help me improve the guide--as long it's not just people telling me enemies' correct names, because, honestly, I don't care at all about that.

Level 1: Port of Adia: Beacon #1, Level 2 Key (1 of 3)
Hello, and welcome to my Work in Progress, an image-loaded guide for Turok 2: Seeds of Evil that will, hopefully, keep you from having to painstakingly figure out this stuff, and will keep you from having to sift through wall after wall of text to find some tiny clue about where you're supposed to be in relation to everything else. This is going to be slow to make, so keep checking back as I update it.

Distress Beacon 1, Level 2 Key (1 of 3)

Jump into the water to the north and explore the insides of the ship, as well as the alcoves on the eastern side to gain a bunch of diamonds, nearly enough for an extra life. Get out of the water on the northern side to grab the extra ten arrows, and then head east.

After going up the stairs, you'll see this ahead and to your right—to the south. When you approach it, an enemy will jump out and attack you. However, when you approach from this side, he dies on the explosion he causes, apparently. This has happened to me twice, and has never happened to me when I approached from the other side (without jumping into the water, basically). Once, he did survive and come out to attack me when I approached from the north.

Kill him.

Then turn around and blow up this barrel to reveal a secret passageway. There are quite a lot of these in this level, so be prepared for that. Enter and climb up the ladder, and then follow the diamonds. Grab the first Distress Beacon Power Source, but don't turn around yet; instead, continue the direction you're going. Jump over to the warp portal, but don't go through it.

Instead of entering the portal, you want to jump and grab onto that ladder. If you don't feel like bothering, or can't make the jump, then you… should probably keep practicing. The platforming gets trickier than this, honestly.

Grab the pistol and keep going straight, back out into the open. You'll notice this is the starting area again.

Remember where that dude blew up the wall and attacked you? Yeah, that's where the first Distress Beacon is. Now that you have the power source, go and touch it to activate it.

Distress Beacon… activated. Now return to the portal we chose not to go through, and finally enter it.

A dude will attack you in this hallway. If you move forward and take the corner slowly, you can draw him out and kite him backward while you shoot him with your pistol or bow.

Get the first Level 2 Key (1 of 3). There's nothing to the right or left, so continue heading west, but do it slowly.
Level 1: Port of Adia: First Child
There are two more enemies who will attack you, and it's possible to lure them out one at a time. Run backward while shooting them (you'll refill your pistol ammo in a moment) so that they don't hurt you.

Blow up this barrel to reveal a secret passageway (Press 'C' to crouch). You can also climb up the ladder to get 5 more diamonds and, presumably, an extra life. Enter the tunnel, and you'll refill your health by going through it. But be careful in the next room. Don't burst out into the open yet.

You'll need to crouch and sneak around the door a bit to make the guy up here spawn, but you definitely want to do it and get back inside the room. Try not to get the pistol until you've killed the enemies here, since it will give you max ammo for it anyway. Kill the dude up here. Don't worry about losing arrows; you'll be able to reclaim them in a moment. When he dies, a door behind him will open. There's a switch there, but it doesn't matter at this exact moment.

You probably still have plenty of bullets, but there are some in the water here, along with 8 Health. One of the biggest benefits of the +2 Health is that they can take you past 100 Health, while the +10 Health cannot. Grab these, and continue in the water to the little doorway in the northeast corner of the waterway.

As soon as you flip this switch, it will open a doorway behind you, and you'll be attacked. If you look closely in the screenshot, you'll see the differently colored wall that will be opened by the switch. So be prepared to kill him. If you need the health, grab it. If not, just head up the ladder.

Now you're up here where that dude you killed while crouching in the room with the pistol was hanging around. Jump down to the ledge, follow the diamonds, and flip the switch that was in the little alcove revealed by killing that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Flipping that switch opened the door downstairs, shown here. But ignore that for now, and instead go up the ladder shown in the top-left of this screenshot. Get the flashlight, and head deeper in.

To the left here is a short dead-end with a red diamond. To the right is the doorway opened by the switch that is directly ahead. I'd get the diamond, and then flip the switch.

After entering the hallway opened by the switch, you'll find this jerk to your left. He's the Gorgotron. Shoot him in the head! Then follow the path around and enter the doorway. It doesn't matter which you way you go once you enter; they both lead to the same place.

If you turn right, though, and continue ascending, you'll be able to catch this dude in the back. If you turn left, you'll presumably run straight into him.

Killing that jerk will open the doorway shown here, inside of which is a switch. Is it all starting to seem familiar yet? Naturally, it will open the door on the far side of the walkway, and another jerk will be in there, along with some bullets. Even if you're playing on Hardcore, you shouldn't need 40 bullets right now, but they are there if you need them, I guess.

If you're impatient like me, you'll just jump down, find the newly created bridge, and rescue the First Child.
Level 1: Port of Adia: Distress Beacon #2
Get back out to the walkway in the large room that contains the waterway. Look at the maggot on the bridge. He may not be on the bridge, but he'll be wandering around somewhere down there. Kill him, and then jump down onto the concrete areas below, not into the water.

On the western side of this room is that doorway that opened and that we ignored earlier, but don't just charge in yet. As you step into this room, two jerks will attack. Kite them backward and kill them. Afterward, search the room for some arrows if you need, grab the case of bullets, and enter the portal.

On the N64 and original PC versions, it was very easy to miss this switch. With the icon added to the HUD, it's much more difficult now. We're just noting it at this moment, though—don't run to it. There are some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to kill first. These are "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥," because, if you've played on Hardcore, then you know that 3 shots from these guys will kill you.

Instead of rushing to that switch, peek around this corner and kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the platform. Then it's safe to hit that switch. It reveals some health, if you need it. They're +10s, so they're not any help if you don't.

After that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is dead, peak further out to kill the other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Then get your talon ready, because these compies are pains in the ass.

On Hardcore, they take two swipes of the Talon to kill, so I celebrated when I found the War Blade killed them in one hit. It's generally a waste to try to shoot them. They'll do a lot of damage to you while you try; they're too small and quick. You'll always hear their telltale sound to let you know to pull out a melee weapon, but, hey, that's what this guide is for, right? Kill the compies, and flip the switch on the wall near the corpose they were feasting on.

Flipping that switch opened this gate. Enter and follow the diamonds. You'll come to a gate in front of your face, and approaching it will open it.

This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is really an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, because his stupid grenades will bounce off the wall behind you and damage you. If you run into the open, he'll just shoot you. On Hardcore, this guy is really a pain.

Up the ladder is a bunch of arrows and another switch to flip. Activating it will open the gate on the other side of the stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bouncing grenades off the wall a moment ago. So jump back down (FYI, there is no falling damage in this game) and head east, through the newly opened doorway.

Around the corner are some raptors. They're pretty easy to kite. There are two of them, so make sure to lure them out and kill them before dealing with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ahead.

If you turn around from this position, you'll see a gate in your way. Head up this ladder and, yes, flip the stupid switch, which opens the gate that was behind you before we went up the ladder. Go through the doorway and get an arrow or gun ready, because a jerk is going to leap out and attack you. You know, like jerks do.

] Follow the red diamonds and grab the Ultra Health, which adds 100 to your Health pool. Unlike previous versions, you can exceed 200 here. There's nothing else here, so just turn around and go back to the area with the raptors.

There's only one direction to go at this point, so go that direction, and kill the jerk ahead.

Just around this corner is another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥—one that seems to take an unreal number of bullets to the head before he dies. What an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There is a pistol and two clips here. If you're conserving ammo, I'd recommend grabbing the clips and leaving the Pistol, since it fully restores your bullets. After doing so, approach the sealed gate, and it will open.

Naturally, a jerk will start running toward you. Kill him, and then turn north and tilt the camera up. There are explosive barrels on that platform; blow them up. Grab the +10 Health, arrows, and clip that it dropped, and proceed east into the larger area. On the south is a brief recess with a ladder leading to it, and it contains some more bullets and +2 Health.

Over here is a whole lot of nothing right now, but there was a barrel here that I blew up while shooting at the jerk. There is a clip of bullets there. Don't worry about the diamonds, because you can't get them yet.

Turn back to the west and look at this jerk running around in circles. In my experience, they are less prone to this behavior on Hardcore, but that could have been confirmation bias. Obviously, kill him and go to the area where he was running around like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Kill this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to open the door that is behind him, but don't enter it yet. Near him is a barrel that you can destroy to blast a hole in the wall and reveal the Power Cell, which is needed to activate the second Distress Beacon. So blow it up and grab it. Take a swim in that water for a red diamond, and climb the ladder onto the boat to get some bullets.

These crates need to be climbed, but if you look closely, there is also a small gap in them. Crouch to enter it and grab the arrows if you need them. Then ascend the crates, climb the ladder, and activate the distress beacon. I'm not sure how much "distress" the Port is really in after Turok completes the level, but whatever. Again, there's only one way forward: through the door opened when you killed the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a moment ago.

Level 1: Port of Adia: Distress Beacon #3
] Awesome! A Shotgun! It really is awesome, but not as useful as one would think. Beware the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ patrolling here. If he's at medium distance, don't waste shotgun shells on him. The Shotgun is worthless at medium and long range.

Proceeding too far out, like I just did, will also trigger a jerk to come and attack you. Basically, it's time to put that shotgun to use. After killing the jerk and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, proceed.

Another decent-sized arena. Kill this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ first, since he'll otherwise harass you while you explore. In addition to the red crystal in the water, and the boats that contain ammunition and health, there are nets hanging that can be shot down to give a red diamond, a clip, and a +10 Health. There is plenty of health on the boats, and you can jump from one to get onto the crates below and claim three more red diamonds

Once you are content with your exploration, behind the most recent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you killed is a switch that needs to be flipped.

Rather predictably at this point (and still in the first level), flipping the switch reveals that the door directly across from you was hiding an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Kill him, and then drop down and immediately turn left.

Get the Power Cell

... and take it to the Distress Beacon in plain sight. Enter the little alcove where we killed that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and flip that switch.
Level 1: Port of Adia: Child #2, Level 2 Key (2 of 3)
An annoying ass raptor will leap out and attack you while a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shoot at you. That's basically a description of Turok 2, isn't it? Kite the raptor backward, out of the way of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥' bullets, and kill it.

There are two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ here, one above and to the left of the other. Kill the nearest one—the lower-right one—and then the one in the upper left. There is an additional one further to the right, but we don't want him in line-of-sight (LOS) yet. It's safe to stay still for a second, fire a few bullets, and then move slightly left or right, but expect to take some hits.

If you're like me, you're out of bullets now. So you can run back to the Pistol we left behind earlier, or say "Screw it" and just continue on. Watch out for these two jerks, but you're safe from fire standing with the boxes between you and the firing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Kill this stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, then explore a bit to find the red diamond on the ground.

Climb the boxes and flip the switch, and then kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ far in the distance. There are more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ here, don't worry. After killing him, go up the ramp.

Kill the jerk and grab the diamonds up here. While you're wandering around getting the clips, another jerk will screech and attack. Are you tired of that yet? I hope not. It's like 75% of the game, jerks and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ leaping out and attacking you.

After you've explored to your heart's contentment, enter this doorway. Right after you do, there will be an explosion, and an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will come out of the alcove it reveals, and will take an obscene number of pointblank shotgun shells to the face before he dies. As you proceed forward, the drawbridge will automatically lower.

Unfortunately, blowing up the barrel won't kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the other side, but go ahead and blow them up anyway. Continue past the bridge and flip the switch. Take note of the Warp Portal. These can be used to warp you to any other Warp Portal you've encountered, and each can be used once to refill all your Ammo and your Health. I'd recommend against both for now; in fact, unless you're on Hardcore, there's no reason to enter the thing.

Heading back to the bridge will reveal to your right—to the east below—are doorways that have been opened by the switch, and at least one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ inside (on Hardcore, there were two, if I recall correctly). Kill him, because he's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and then jump down from the far side of the bridge to get those three red crystals that we left behind much earlier. This will probably get you an extra life. Finally, enter the area out of which the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ came. An annoying raptor will ambush you from the sewer tunnel, so have your Shotgun ready to give him some shot mouthwash.

Annoyingly, as soon as you exit the tunnel on the other side, a jerk will screech and, yes, leap at you. This crap gets really annoying. It's like someone had the idea, "What if we had enemies constantly screeching and lunging at the player?" and everyone who had the sense to point out how tedious and annoying that would be happened to be absent that day. Naturally, as soon as you turn the corner, another jerk leaps down from above, after screeching, to attack you. Fun, right? Go up the ladder, and activate the switch immediately in front of you.

To the south is a newly revealed alcove that contains the Second Child. Jump across and enter it. This next part is pretty straightforward. Jump down onto the cage or the ground. Walls will slide open to reveal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shooting and throwing grenades, and you need to kill them. You may have to wander around a bit to make them come out. Killing them will slide out another wall, which will reveal a switch. Using the switch opens the cage. Rescue the Second Child, climb the ladder, and jump back across to where you opened the switch to reveal this side area.

Blow up the barrels for a red diamond, a clip, and +2 Health, and then enter the portal.
Level 1: Port of Adia: Level 3 Key (1 of 3), Child #3
Closest Warp: Port of Adia: Village

Shortly ahead, you'll find your first set of Explosive Shells. These are really useful, because they do full damage from any distance. Loaded into the Shredder, they really ♥♥♥♥ up some ♥♥♥♥. You'll notice that you're back in the Waterway Room, too. Drop down onto the wooden ledge. The doorway to the left is now open, and there's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in that room who needs to be killed, and that's the room you're going to. Explore the ruins for more arrows if you need them, and then step into the portal.

You are now in Port of Adia: The Village, by the way. In case you ever need to know that. Directly behind you when you port in is a barrel. Destroying it reveals a small alcove that contains what is commonly called a Depot. Ammunition and Health will continually spawn here until you are full on both. It's beyond my knowledge of the game to identify every single one of these, but here's one, and it's pretty simple to return to if you ever need it. Simply take the Port of Adia: Village Warp Portal, and then warp back to whatever stage you are in. It's slow, but it's unlimited, so you won't use up any of the limited Ammo refills offered by the blue chick.

Explore this area as much as you want. There's random goodies hidden around, so it's not a bad idea to, and you'll get a good feel for how Turok 2: Seeds of Evil hides things. When you're done exploring, in the southwest corner of this area, shown in the pic, is a switch. Activating it will open a door that is hidden behind the waterfall. An ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is back there, and needs to be killed. Go under the waterfall and grab the Level 3 Key (1 of 3). Afterward, follow the yellow diamonds to the southeast and out of this area.

You'd be foolish not to expect an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to be just around the corner when you enter this hallway, and, sure enough, there's one there. Ascend the ramps and you'll find yet another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a Warp Portal to a Talisman Chamber.

Hit that distant switch to activate the Warp Portal, and enter this one. Why is this here? I don't know. There's no feather in this stage, and no Talisman to get. Listen to the woman run her mouth, and then leave. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will respawn, so be ready to kill him again. After exiting, go through the doorway in the north and up the ramps.

By now, you should be aware that any time you have to ascend anything, there's a 50/50 chance of there being a jerk who is going to screech and jump at you. This is no exception, and he'll come out of the attic area of that house.

When you go around the house, two more jerks will screech and jump down to attack you. Is it just me? Am I the only one who finds this whole schtick to be annoying as ♥♥♥♥? It's not good game design. Anyway, on the northern side of the house is a ladder that leads to the attic, and it contains four red diamonds.

Also on the northern side of the house, and in the northeastern corner of this part of the map, there is a switch and the door that it opens. Go ahead and hit the switch and enter the doorway.

Move forward just a bit, to get the Tek Bow. It's vastly superior to the Bow, although there are a few things worth knowing. Obviously, first, it fires Tek Arrows. These explode after a few seconds, but it's not as useful as it sounds. Second, even though Turok stops drawing the bowstring, holding it down longer does continue to increase the arrow's power, even though the animation shows it is fully drawn. You can test this yourself. So don't be fooled into thinking you get a "full draw" faster with the Tek Bow. You actually don't. It just appears that way. It does, however, have a scope, which greatly increases ranged accuracy. Don't proceed further down this area; there's no point yet, because you don't have the required Talisman. Instead, just head back to the house.

This is the direction you want to go—follow the yellow diamonds. Of course, as soon as you turn that corner, a jerk will screech and attack, but you should be used to that by now. Behind the house on this level are five more yellow diamonds that you may want to go ahead and grab.

It's possible to jump into this window. In fact, this is one of the game's Secret Areas. Inside are just 3 Explosive Shells and 4 +2 Healths, so it's not worth it if you don't feel like backtracking or going after the achievement. And if you're going after the achievement, you'll need someone else's guide, because I can't be bothered to do things that are just tedious like that.

Whether you jumped down to the attic and backtracked or not, west is the direction that you want to go, and there's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just around the corner, as well as the Port of Adia: Village Warp Portal. So whenever you want to use this Depot, take that Warp Portal, and jump down. It's not much backtracking to get full health and ammo for just a few minutes of waiting. Once you've activated the Warp Portal, or used it if needed, step into the other… portal. The one that carries you further into the level.

Get your shotgun ready and peek around the corner to get the jerk to follow you, but make sure to avoid the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s bullets. After killing the first jerk, wait a few seconds and another jerk will attack. Then blow up the barrel that's sitting right there—it's another Health/Ammo Depot, I think. I wasn't low enough on ammo to verify that, but I'm pretty sure it is. By the way, always use the Pistol or arrows for blowing stuff up. They're the cheapest resources in the game.

Scope this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the Tek Bow, and then proceed a bit more. This screenshot is important. Climb the wreckage in front of you to reach the ladder. In the recess above is a switch, and the switch opens the lightly colored section of the wall depicted in the left of the screenshot. This is where the Third Child is.

Get your Shotgun ready, and head inside. I wouldn't bother with the Flashlight, honestly. It's not really helpful. Or maybe it's just that I have my Brightness turned up. Don't know, don't care. Either way, grab the stuff you want, and jump down. It is not necessary to get that Shotgun to cause parts of the walls to lower and form bridges; in fact, I'd be careful not to get it, but be prepared, because jerks are going to screech and, what else?, lunge and attack you.

And it's almost inevitable that, to avoid getting hit, you'll accidentally grab the Shotgun long before you need it. On the south side of the currently revealed area is a switch. Activate it, then cross the bridges to flip the newly accessible switch, and turn around. Would you be surprised if I told you that hitting that switch moved some of the walls, revealing jerks who will screech and start coming toward you?
-- Spillover from Previous Section
There in the northeastern corner is another switch. Yep. Go flip it. Yep, two jerks screech and attack. Yep, one of the newly opened areas contains a switch. Yep, you need to go flip it.

Yay! This time, there are no jerks screeching! There are two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, though. Watch out for their grenades, enter the area and kill them.

When the two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are dead, the wall on the eastern side of this section of room slides away, revealing the switch that will open the Third Child's cage. Flip it and rescue the child.

Leave this god-forsaken area and get back to the rubble that you had to climb before you dropped down here.
Level 1: Port of Adia: Child #4
Closest Warp: Port of Adia: City

] Proceed into this large, empty area, and have a look around. Nope. There's nothing of interest here. The water contains 14 diamonds, and you may be close to another extra life, so that's something. But there's nothing else.

Once you've confirmed that there's seriously nothing of interest in this huge area that seems to have been made because the designers wanted a large area but had nothing to put there, you'll find two switches in the northeast corner. I'm pretty sure that one of these opened the iron gate that was atop a ladder near the depot that we discussed near the first Level 3 Key. But I don't know, and, if it did, whatever is there isn't important, so screw it. The other switch lowered the wall on the other side of the waterfall that is between the two switches, so enter and follow the yellow diamonds, and you'll be taken through a warp.

Oddly, there's nothing here that poses a threat to you. Nor is there anything worth looking for *cough* anywhere in the game *cough* here, except the switch inside of the house. For whatever asinine reason, you have to flip the switch to open the iron gate that is blocking the only exit out of here. What's the point? Why even put this here? Why not just remove the gate and not make the player jump through hoops like a dog on command? A lot of the houses also have boxes at the foot of the bed that can be destroyed, and many of these contain +2 Health.

After jumping through the hoops that the game developers mistook for "game design," follow the breadcrumb trail of yellow diamonds in the northeast corner. There's a jerk in this hallway, and you can get up behind him to kill him pretty easily.

The hallway opens up into a much more interesting area, thankfully. Go around the perimeter and destroy the barrels, and be ready for the jerk that comes out of the northwestern recess revealed by the explosion.

Apparently, you can get blood splatter on the health crosses. I did not know that, but that's interesting. With all of this done, climb the stairs on the outside of the house, and avoid the explosion's fire when you reach the second floor. There are some shotgun shells up here that are good to get. Then return to the ground floor, enter the house, and flip its switch. Yeah, I know. Just as lame as the previous area, wasn't it?

Flipping that switch opened the doors up here, and there's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just inside who will start chucking grenades at you like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Go up the ramp and kill him, follow the breadcrumbs, and cross the bridge. The iron gate on the other side will open, revealing another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, so kill him and press on through the next portal.

Thankfully, this area actually is interesting. It has roofs to jump on, an Ammo Depot, enemies to kill, multiple branches… It's just all around a neat area. The first thing you'll want to do is jump out and onto the roof right by the ramp—this will cause an explosion, which reveals a crevice across from the ramp and kills a jerk. On the other side of the roof, down below and standing on some boxes, is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who needs to die. There's also one on the ground to take care of. Before leaving this roof, turn and face the east to find a recess—jump into it and flip the switch, and then jump over to the other roof to grab the health you need. If you don't need it, leave the Full Health alone for now

Climb these crates to flip this switch, and kill the raptor running around on the ground. Enter the doorway on the western side that he came out of, and flip both switches. A raptor will come screaming out. Kill him—the area that he leaped from is a depot to refill your ammo and health.

Before leaving this area, under that first switch we hit, we revealed a very well-hidden passageway that leads to the last child. If you missed a child, this is almost certainly the one that you missed. If this isn't the one you missed, then it was probably Child #3. Anyway, enter the passageway and drop down.

This area is pretty straightforward. You're only trying to make your way up, and there's only one path. Kill this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and enter that doorway. Follow the ramps up and kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and grab the yellow diamonds as you head back out into the second floor of the main area.

] You'll have to jump to grab the ladder, but that's not a big deal, and, though you can access the cage, it obviously isn't open yet. Climb the ladder, and the bridge to your left will come up, allowing you to traverse across and continue your ascension, where you'll find another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ waiting to be killed. Just past the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is the switch that opens the cage and a ledge from which you can jump to quickly get back to the cage and rescue the child. Awesome. The Fourth Child is rescued. Now all that's left is to get the last of the keys, activate the warp portal, and finish the level… Hm. Actually, yeah, there's still quite a bit left, isn't there?
Level 1: Port of Adia: Level 2 Key (3 of 3)
Closest Warp: Port of Adia: City

Leave through the teleportation pad that has now been made available on the lowest floor. When you step back out and turn around the houses, there are three jerks running around. They're easily dispatched with a shotgun, after which you should enter the hallway they were in. At the end of the hallway, as soon as you turn the last corner, there's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, who will immediately turn and shoot. Behind him is a switch for you to flip.

Doing so reveals two jerks and an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The jerks will come first, but if you take too long to get rid of them, you'll find yourself facing down all three. On Hardcore, that becomes quite a challenge.

This is another one of those relatively large and empty areas. Up the ramp is a brief hallway that leads to a switch that opens the iron door shown here. Back into the switch to trigger it, and a jerk will do what jerks do—screech and jump out. Enter the doorway and step through the portal.

Once again we find ourselves arriving at a closed door, and it opens as we approach, revealing an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who will probably get a cheap shot or two in. Step out and flip the switch immediately to the right, which reveals a hidden area right behind you. Immediately up the ladder is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who will hit you once or twice before you can hit him, and it's not even worth it, because it's just some non-respawning shotgun shells and a box of pistol bullets in there. But it's there, so… Then go the only direction there is to go and flip the switch in front of the large iron gate.

I truly hope you expected it by now, because you've about seen all the tricks up Turok 2's sleeve. Naturally, two jerks start screeching and jumping around, and there is one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the ground ahead. As usual, head around the perimeter and blow up the barrels on the outer walls, and watch for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hanging out under the house's… carport-like area?

On the eastern side of the house, you'll find this opening to enter. There's a switch in there that needs to be flipped, after which you'll need to head back out, and to the western side of the house to enter its primary doorway. Kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ inside, and go around the bookcases in the next room to flip that switch. This will lower the ladder in the northwestern corner of the house, allowing you to climb up to its second story.

You know, 85% of this game is basically "Hit this switch to activate the small area that contains the next switch you need to activate, which will open the real way to the thing you need to get to." It's pretty tedious, when it gets down to it, and I'm kind of surprised, now that I'm really observing what this game is, that I've been as fond of it as I have been. I've got like 60 hours in it now. How did I tolerate this? This is abysmal game design.

Once on the second story, of course, there's an explosion, and an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to chuck grenades at you and shoot at you. I guess the other 15% of the game is ♥♥♥♥ jumping out at you to attack you. Grab the Level 2 Key (3 of 3) that is out there in the open, enter the giant hole in the wall, and, *sigh* flip the switch inside. Doing so opens the iron gate on the ground and in the northern wall, which leads to a teleportation pad. Step through it.
Level 1: Port of Adia: Level 3 Key (2 of 3)
Closest Warp: Port of Adia: City

As soon as you step into the open, two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will start firing at you. The best weapon for dealing with them quickly is the pistol. Do some crate-climbing along the northwest to flip the mother… Sorry. Flip the switch.

The iron gate to your left hides an ammo depot and a shortcut, but you'll never need to use it, so it's mostly just there. The hallway on the right is the one you want, and be prepared for two raptors who will do the usual screech-and-jump-at-the-player thing when you exit the hallway.

Turning this corner reveals another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the distance, and a jerk who will head toward you while you're killing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Just around from him is the Warp Portal for Port of Adia: City. That's right. We've still got an entire section of this level to go through. Step closer enough to trigger the "Checkpoint reached" message, and then enter the hallway near it.

We've now reached an easily distinguishable part of the Port of Adia, thank goodness—The Walkways. Kill these two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and then take the walkway toward the left, and look down, to the Southwest. There's another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ there, and it's easiest to kill him from up here. Afterward, follow the yellow diamonds and jump down to where this third ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is, and continue following the diamond breadcrumbs.

Of course there's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in here who is begging for death, so give him its release. Then continue on down the hallway—there's only one direction to go, after all. Ready your shotgun just after you grab some yellow diamonds, because after you take the next turn, two jerks will do what jerks have been doing through this entire level. After killing them, continue forward.

These ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are difficult, but the Tek Bow is a good choice for them, if you have Tek Arrows to use. They're far away, so zooming in on them is much better than shooting bullets at them from this distance. If you are facing as you would be just coming out of the hallway, there is one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at 11:00 and one at 1:00. After killing them, grab the Tek Arrwos and climb up the ladder.

Two jerks and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shooting at you. Fun. After you peek around the corner, one jerk will come toward you, but the other will wait until you've killed the two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and are clear to come out. Or is there a second jerk? The screenshot certainly shows two, but the second vanished when I came out. Anyway, head up the ladder and be prepared to deal with another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ far ahead of you as you reach the top. Once he's dead, peek around the corner, kill the final ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this area, climb the ladder, and look to the left. There's an Ultra Health there that you'll want to grab, and then enter the hallway.

As you enter this area, there's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to the right who needs to be killed, and then one will run out of the other doorway. Kill them both. Follow the walkways, climb the ladders, and follow the yellow diamonds. As far as I'm aware, there are no secrets in this general vicinity.

You'll finally reach this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, who needs to die. When you rush out into the open, you'll find another one to the right—to your 1:00—who also needs to die. Is it all starting to seem familiar? Don't worry. This level is very nearly over. This trend, though, will persist through every stage. Killing them both opens the iron gate to your left, so enter it.

You may notice that you've been through this area before, so here's a shortcut if you need to go back for anything. Otherwise, kill this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and stay on the wooden walkways while you head to the door the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ came from.

This is the second-to-last of the major areas. Huzzah! Get out your Tek Bow and go ahead and kill both of these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ so that they don't bother you. The one far in the distance, by the Warp Portal, will respawn, but it's not a big deal. Then jump down and climb the ladder on the southern wall to flip a switch. On the ruins there is a Full Health if you need it. Afterward, you can head east and follow the red diamonds to an Ammo Depot, in case you need it.

Flipping that switch revealed this section of wall, inside of which is the Level 3 Key (2 of 3), so be sure to get it. Climb the ladder and kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who is there and who is almost certain to shoot you at least once before you can do anything about it. There's also another Full Health here for you to get, in case you somehow need it. After you get the key, turn around and climb the ladders along the northern wall.
Level 1: Port of Adia: Level 3 Key (3 of 3)
Closest Warp: Port of Adia: City

Shortly after you enter, two jerks will attack. Bet you didn't see that coming, did you? Except you probably did, because you've gotten this far, and the game has literally been doing this through the entire freaking stage. Ready your Talon for some compies ahead, because you'll hear them, and they'll attack, just as you reach the next small area.

Climb the ladder on the left and flip the switch to lower the bridge. Yes, I know. Someone at Acclaim confused this sort of tedium for "game design." Jump down, climb the eastern ladder, and take the corner prepared to kill an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Around the next corner is the bridge, As you cross it, the iron gate will open and two jerks will, yes, screech and leap out at you. Grab the Shotgun if you need it.

Yet another jerk will do their usual jerk stuff, and an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ahead will do its usual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stuff as you go through this tunnel descending. Finally, you reach the last major area of this stage.

Use the Tek Bow to kill these two distant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥—there is another one in a circle of yellow diamonds just on the ground and to the right if you need to refill your arrows. After killing them and getting the diamonds and/or Tek Bow, continue down the canal until you find the ladder on the southern side of the distant end. Climb it and turn around to face the rather large house.

This is where you're going, and it's pretty annoying. On the top floors are two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who you can snipe from here, to go ahead and get them out of the way. Afterward, take the ramp up and prepare to enter the first floor of the house.

Each side of this house has an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a switch inside, as well as some Shotgun Shells lying around. The switches are in the northeastern and northwestern corners of this first floor. After triggering both switches, find a doorway on the western or eastern side of the house.

Just outside of the doorway is a wooden ledge and a ladder. It doesn't matter which you take, since it's symmetrical, but here I chose to take the eastern one. Climb the ladder and enter the second floor of the house. In the center is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who will come out and start shooting at you, so be prepared for that. And each of these beds has a crate at its foot that can be destroyed for +2 Health.

At the center on a sort of balcony is the Level 3 Key (3 of 3). Congratulations! But we aren't done yet. We still have to activate the Warp Portal and get the Nuke Piece. Believe it or not, the Nuke Weapon kinda sucks.

After getting the key, jump down to the ground outside and turn back toward the house. The ground level doors are now open. These two little areas are very simple: inside each is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a switch. Kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and flip the switch in both rooms, and then grab the red diamonds out of the fountain. Finally turn back to the other side.
Level 1: Port of Adia: Warp Portal [Nuke Piece (1 of 6)] & Energy Totem
Closest Warp: Port of Adia: City

Just inside this ramped tunnel is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who will get in a cheap shot, as they usually do. Then continue up the ramps, following the yellow diamonds. You'll reach what I called the second-to-last major area, only now you're up here with the Warp Portal. On the southern side of this recess is a ladder. Drop down right by the ladder, staying as near to the walls as possible, to land on a wooden walkway.

Go press this button. Climb back up the ladder and step into the portal. Once inside, you'll trigger a 90s era cutscene with absolutely awful voices.

Go attempt to grab the floating nuke piece, and the door will block you. Get your shotgun and its Explosive Shells ready

These garage doors raise up, revealing these punks with grenades and swords. One explosive shell will take care of them. There are only 4 punks to kill here, and then it's a really good place to recover Health and ammo. Simply climb the ladders and step into the alcoves the punks came from. Two will spawn health, and two will spawn ammunition. Once you're fully recovered, grab the Nuke Piece (1 of 6), listen to the blue chick talk some more, and then leave through the teleportation pad.

It's all pretty much over now. Go back through this doorway and to the area with the canal. Jump into the canal and continue west around its corner.

Enter this area at the distant end of the canal. Just in front of that door, to both the left and right, are switches that, for some asinine reason, the designers thought would be good to put there. Flipping them opens the door that is just ahead in this screenshot, and an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ comes out. Three shotgun shells to the head it took to kill this guy, the whole time he just stood there shooting me because I'm playing on Normal, which is basically Easy.

Enter the portal! Congratulations. You beat Level 1: Port of Adia. All that's left to do is defend tbe Energy Totem, which is extremely easy on every level. Simply pull out your explosive shells and kill everything that comes out. This one just spawns a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who do minimal damage to the totem and can be eliminated easily with Tek Arrows.
Level 3: The Death Marshes: Level 5 Key (1 of 3)
No, this isn't an accident. I much prefer taking care of Level 3: The Death Marshes rather than Level 2: The River of Souls, because the Death Marshes has the Shredder and the Mag 60, while the River of Souls has only the War Blade, if I remember correctly. By doing The Death Marshes first, you get an easier journey through Level 2, since you'll also have the Grenade Launcher to take care of those annoying Soul Portals. Level 2 has cooler music, but Level 3 has a cooler design.

Of course, you can take them in any order that you want, but I'm going to continue on as though you're doing Level 3 first.

This sort of U with a vertical line in the center is level 3. I know. It sure would have been more convenient if the symbols out here in the Hub just used Roman Numerals or something. As long as you have all three keys (or six for Level Six, the pillars will get out of your way.

The Death Marshes. Easily my favorite level in the game. Areas are pretty large, but they're also surprisingly straight-forward and linear. Just ahead you'll see a Talisman Tile noting that if you have the Breath of Life Talisman, then you can swim through water. Don't worry about it; we were going to have to backtrack anyway. Head across the bridges.

Just past the shotgun, an unarmed ogre will leap out of the bridge, destroying it, and attack you. The only way to proceed is to drop down through the broken bridge and jump across these columns to the other side

A jerk attacks, but don't worry. There aren't many of them here. There's also a Mini-Ogre with a mini-gun who will shoot you with pellets. They're mostly annoying. After you've recovered your health, turn back to the north and prepare to take the sloping-downward log-bridge.

We want to go right and up the ladders before we take the left path; the left path takes us deeper into the level, while the right path takes us to the awesome Mag 60, which is like the Pistol, but shoots 3 bullets at once and is very, very powerful. Just up the ladder is a Mini-Ogre—kill him—and take the next ladder up to claim your Mag 60. When you turn around, an Ogre will attack—one shot to the head with the Mag 60 kills him. Then head back to that area we just left, down the ladders, and take the left path.

Another Mini-Ogre to be dealt with, simple enough. Go forward to where he died and jump across the broken bridge to the cliff on the western side of the swamp. Continue the only direction there is to go, and kill the unarmed Ogre—he'll grab and throw rocks at you, by the way.

] Destroy the Hornet's Nest on the right, and be prepared to kill the hornets that will come out when you do so. Jump across there to get the 4 red diamonds, some shotgun shells, and a +10 Health. Then return and follow the yellow diamonds down the slope. At the bottom is another unarmed Ogre to be killed

Over there on the wall is a Mini-Ogre's brains from where he dared shoot at me. Head across that bridge quickly—the floating logs sink when you stand on them, but it's slow enough that, if you never loiter on them, you'll probably never even be aware of it. Keep heading forward, jumping across the logs, and you'll find the Level 5 Key (1 of 3) in the open.
Level 3: The Death Marshes: Rescue Prisoner (1 of 5)
Out of the boarded-up area on the ground will erupt an Ogre. Again, one Mag 60 shot to the face does the trick. Inside that little hole (How did he fit down there?) is a Case of Bullets, which is very helpful since the Mag 60 tears through bullets. Proceed forward to the muddy area.

This mud is perfectly safe to walk through, though it slows your movement. Another consideration is that random worm things will burst out and lash you with their gross ass tongues, and, on Hardcore, they can drain a lot of Health very quickly. So, really, it's best to stay out of the mud as much as possible.

Speak of the devil! As soon as one of these guys bursts up, it's best to jump backward and begin shooting, but it takes two shots with the Mag 60 to kill one, so you're going to get hit. Meanwhile, shooting him gets the attention of an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up on land further ahead. After dealing with the tongue worm thing, climb the broken bridges to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and kill him.

The Mag 60 isn't super great from a distance, and it took 3 shots (9 bullets) to kill this Mini-Ogre, but my aiming may have been off because of the distance. You'll notice a net above him; shoot it to bring it down and get a red diamond, +10 Health, and some Tek Arrows that you probably don't need. Then jump across the platforms, collecting the yellow diamonds, while going south.

Just past the Hornet's Nest that needs to be destroyed are two houses. The one on the left contains an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Both contain barrels that can be destroyed for ammunition and health. While you're running around, an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ far in the distance—past the trail of yellow diamonds—will start shooting at you and coming toward you. Kill him. Grab any of the explosive shotgun shells in the area you may need, then head over to the cage. Shoot off the lock and go touch the Prisoner (1 of 5 to free him.
Level 3: The Death Marshes: Destroy Armory (1 of 3)
This bit of platforming is tricky. Jump over there to where the yellow diamonds are, and carefully make your way around…

To these rocks. Jump over to the rocks.

Jump across to solid land and grab the Satchel Charge. I'd much rather the game have been designed that Turok brought these with him—why would these guys leave satchel charges lying around? Anyway, get the charge and climb the ladder. Kill the ogre just at the top, and go the southern side of that building. Shoot off the 4 locks and enter. This is the first Armory. Enter the teleportation pad.

Immediately open your map. After setting the charge, you have to run out of here to beat the explosion, and you can't afford taking any dead ends. Take the first right that you come to, head up the ramp, and touch the box to set the charge.

Then haul your ass out of there. After you've teleported out, you can teleport safely back in to explore further without any risk—most of them contain a Full Health, including this one, if you go straight at that first branch instead of turning right. If you don't need it, I'd recommend leaving it behind—you never know when you'll need it, especially if you're on Hardcore. Though, if you're playing on Hardcore, why are you using a guide? Anyway, head back out, and step on the teleportation pad just to the east, outside of the armory.

Warp Portal – Death Marshes 1. Be sure to trigger the "Checkpoint Reached" message. Don't use the health refill—We just left a Full Health, remember? And you don't really have enough guns yet to justify using the Refill Ammo option. So just continue on to the north and across the floating logs—ignore the weapon floating in the air for now. We're about to get it, don't worry.
Level 3: The Death Marshes: Level 5 Key (2 of 3)
Shrek over to the right will start chucking rocks at you. Kill him. Then jump up there to where the +2 Healths are. Collect them, and then go up the ramp right there on the southern side. Turn the corner and kill the Mini-Shrek (yes, I just decided to replace "Ogre" with "Shrek"), and a little further ahead destroy the Hornet's Nest high above the ground. You can save a few bullets by using the Pistol rather than the Mag 60—the same with blowing off locks.

I really didn't remember there being this many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this level, but just ahead there is another one, and a Mini-Shrek to contend with. Expect to take some damage. Go ahead and whip out your Shotgun and its explosive shells to deal with them. Then continue forward, and you'll find yourself right back where we were a moment ago, except…

Now you can jump, grab the Shredder, and land on the platform. Go back to the area with the raised +2 Health, except this time turn east toward the building and the Shrek.

Kill the Shrek. As you turn around the house, two more Shreks inside it will come out. The Shredder makes quick work of them. Shooting this net gives Shotgun Shells, Tek Arrows, and Bullets—it's well worth it. Inside the house is more health and another clip, but you're probably full on pistol ammo now.

Turn to the north and cross these bridges. This is mud, so it's safe to walk through, but it's best to just avoid it. There's another path just to the west here, but they lead to the same place, so… Inside the tower is a Sword Shrek who uses the sword to shoot stuff at you. The Tek Bow is good for him.

To the north is where we really want to go, but that +2 Health is tempting. Just so you know, you'll have to deal with Tongue Worms if you go after it. I'd ignore it and head across toward the Level 5 Key (2 of 3), where a Sword Shrek will burst out of the wall to attack. An ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is in the house to the west of the Level 5 Key (2 of 3), but there's ammo in there that may be worth getting. There's nothing else of interest here, so enter the house Sword Shrek burst out of, turn left/west and enter the teleportation pad.

This was a wonderful read and substantially reduced my frustration. I thought your style was hilarious. Don't let someone named "jizzrag" complain that you're too edgy or cringey, lol. This guide is fantastic and I wish there was more of it.

cool guide but really cringey delivery with le edgy comments and self-censorship. Just stick to straight guides, we don't need the commentary.
