Blohm und Voss BV-238

The Blohm und Voss BV-238 was a massive flying boat designed by Germany during World War II. A single prototype took flight in 1944, but was sunken by Allied fighters while docked. At the time, it was the heaviest aircraft every produced and the largest aircraft produced by the Axis powers. It was intended to be a long range transport and a reconnaissance vehicle. It also was capable of carrying bombs.
