1) The rogue (not the scout) is the best hybrid specialist. He has powerful skills that are designed to help in both combat and haggling, whereas the scout skills are pretty useless IMO.
2) It is actually possible to beat the game with just the main character, and no specialists at all. The key is the main character's "Inspire" skill, which unlocks at level 9. This skill buffs both combat and haggling attributes by as much as 70 points (depending on how many auxiliaries you are carrying). If you get the MC to max level (12) and use Inspire plus a relic to buff your stats, you can win both boss fights at the end of the game. I just did it myself.
- You only need to upgrade (lvl 11-12 + haggling relic) a scout (it is strong enough in both haggling and fighting) for the final chapter instead of the mercenary+trader combo, which makes the whole run much cheaper and easier to focus to get everything in one run.
- City goods refresh approx. every week, always count with it when planning bigger trades.
- From the mid of the game always stack up in luxury goods (ext. low - normal price range) and sell them in a capital where the actual price is at least expensive. Capital city traders have bigger amount of money (2-3k), so it is easier to gain a bigger profit .
